This bakery/cafe was busy which we took as a good sign on arrival however there must have been a lot of other first-timers there (as we were) so there must have been a lot if others disappointed and well. Saw Shakshuka on menu and ordered that. What a disappointment and what an affront to this classic dish. They took a can of tomatoes, stirred in some yellow and red bell pepper pieces and put two poached eggs on top. That is NOT Shakshuka and should not be advertised as such. "Bland" is a complementary as I can get in describing this dish. "Terrible" is as accurate as I can get in describing this dish. Too bad. My co-diner had the ham eggs benedict (that is what was served but NOT what was ordered) and it was marginally better than the Shakshuka but anything would be better than the Shakshuka so that is not saying much. The N&C could have a good thing in this nice town but the food they prepare is unimaginative and, simply, bad. Go elsewhere in Tatamagouche. Anywhere.

This site is so well balanced. It is focused on the Low Carb/High Fat lifestyle and the good health that it brings however it is not preachy and provides balanced information so YOU decide what is right for you. We are all complicated chemical/hormone soups and one size does not fit all. Get the information and go in the direction that you need to go for good health and comfort in your own skin.
