Agoda employees will lie through their teeth to swindle you out of your money. I was looking for a room for the night. I didn't even understand that my Kayak app was switching me over to another company. I booked a room for the night, but their website had booked me for a random future date... non-refundable. I went to check in, but no reservation. Found out what Agoda was from the manager who gave me their phone number. Agoda clearly understood what had happened, yet they basically told me tough luck. The hotel manager said unequivocally that I could get refunded for that future date. I was there to rent a room that very night. The hotel manager said that it was absurd to tell me that I couldn't get a refund. Yet, Agoda played games with me sending me about 10 emails that they were "looking into it" and "coordinating with the hotel" to see whether I could get a refund. They claim that the hotel said no. That is a blatant lie. I will never use Agoda again. In fact, I'd rather pay more than use Agoda. If anyone asks me about Agoda, I'll tell them to stay clear.
