BUYER BEWARE...
After having our system less than 3 years(purchased 8-22-14), we've had to call for service twice, once in 2016 and again last month. In 2016, our service was covered because we were still under warranty. This year, when our practically NEW system needed service again, we were told parts were covered but labor was not because we didn't order maintenance separate from our repair call in 2016. As a customer, I assumed if my brand new system already needed service, that maintenance would have been done at that time OR that the company would at least have the courtesy to remind me that I needed to set up a separate maintenance appointment to keep my labor warranty. But NO, this year we were stuck with a $534 repair (labor ONLY because supposedly the parts are covered). The repair took barely over 1 hour, so their rate per hour is ridiculous. The electrical whip and disconnect burned out - no explanation or investigation as to why, so it could happen again? I called to ask if we could reinstate our labor warranty now that we've paid them over $500 - enough to cover maintenance for over 6 years, but was told NO - we voided the labor warranty when we missed having maintenance completed in 2016. Not only that, but Michaela and the service men who came to our house both told me that the Rheem system THEY sold us has been known to have problems. So, we're screwed... I'm hoping when I call Rheem directly, I'll get some help, but not holding my breath. By the way, the reason Atlanta Air Care has so many positive reviews is that they ask their new customers to post good reviews on at least 2 sites in exchange for free maintenance in the first year.
