Web MD One, the provider for my state health insurance called the police on me during a routine diabetes education call. They would not listen to me describe the psychological help I was getting locally and they called the police and abruptly transferred me to the national suicide hotline after I repeatedly told them not to call the police. When I got off the phone with the hotline the police were already at my door. I spent the next 6 hours in a hospital emergency room until the truth could be told and I could be released. This company specifically discriminates against those with mental illnesses, releases HIPPA protected information to the police, and is completely unscrupulous. Do not share any health information with them at all. They will use your mental health status to let the local police department detain you and send you to the emergency room at your cost. Do not trust this organization with any personal information whatsoever.
