The past few weeks, the site or server has been hit or miss. It's down so often that I can't rely on it. As my ecommerce platform, I need it to be up and running so I can conduct business, ship orders, take orders... you know, the basic necessities. I can't count on it. Right now I'm writing this review instead of printing labels and shipping orders (which I VERY much need to be doing instead.)
Oh, and if you need help? Forget it. You have to be able to log in to your account or you can only access the help search. Then they have all these pictures of Shopify staff with headsets and smiling faces, but guess what! There's no phone number, You can't call anyone. The only thing you can do is log in and then request a call back. But what are you supposed to do if the issue you're having is logging in?! That was my problem last week. The 2 step authentication was sending my phone a code several hours after I requested it to log in, when I finally got the code and used it, it said that the code was too old and I needed to enter it within 5 minutes. So I need a time machine? With no way to contact Shopify support for my business, I went to their Facebook page and finally got a response there. 4 hours later, I was finally able to log in and use the service I have been paying for over 5 years. I tried to let them know how frustrating it is that I couldn't get help unless I logged in, but the problem was logging in... they didn't care. They didn't offer a solution. Not even an empty promise to "look into it." Just a response of "glad we fixed the problem."
Well, they didn't. Now I'm unable to log in to Shopify because their server is down. This keeps happening. I don't want to have to switch platforms. It's a lot of work, but they are starting to make my decision for me. I can't conduct business if I can't access my virtual store. Come on, Shopify! Get it together!

... unless you like throwing money away with $5 clicks.
You'd do better to handout Starbucks drinks and business cards. Hey, that actually doesn't sound like a bad idea.
Basically, Yelp is the review mofia. They're experts in nickle and diming, add-on's for every little thing, and if more businesses operated like them we'd all be in trouble.

I had an issue with clasps breaking on a chain. They went above and beyond to send me a new clasp that I wanted. They said they were about to stop carrying that chain because it had problems. They even checked in on me later to make sure I was happy. Halstead Bead has some of the best prices on chains and findings! The shipping can take a little while to get to me, but I usually go ground and I'm not near their facility, so it makes sense.

I've had no problems for almost 10 years, but the past few I've had so many problems with them I avoid them if at all possible. If you have to do a return, good luck! They just shipped me the wrong part and when they went to send me the correct item, they shipped it GROUND! It's for a custom job and I asked her to ship it overnight, but apparently that wasn't enough. I was then advised to call back and double check with someone else next time. So, there is no guarantee that they will do what they promise and you need to baby-sit returns. They told me that they are using more automated procedures and just hired a lot of new people, but this has been a growing problem for about 3 years now.
