To update my last review I've now managed to get some type of refund for my annual plan but they charged me $190 for one month (no explanation of why so much was offered). In the end, I was happy to take a partial refund since that's at least something. They did let me keep my plan for the remaining months in return for accepting a lower partial refund, for the sake of $40 I accepted. I think...

I purchased the annual Pro plan in April 2020. I've only tested the software once or twice but then due to COVID-19 and the global lockdowns, my business launch has been put on hold until further notice (so I haven't been using the software at all). I contacted Powtoon customer services today to ask for a partial refund due to my situation and the uniqueness of the global impact of lockdowns. Their reply was a flat no and referred me to the terms and conditions before unsarcastically asking if there was anything else they could "help" me with. There's no way I will be a return customer and would advise everyone else to keep away. There are a lot of better value services offering similar or more and for less money.
