I've purchased/owned ready-made or standard fit car covers for over 20 years and am familiar with the different levels of quality offered by covers priced from $49.99 to $165.00. I've yet to find a ready-made cover in this price range that didn't fall apart within one year or less of outdoor use in southern California. The first issue I noted is that the cover I received doesn't match the written or photo descriptions shown on the Costco site. There is no manufacturer name branded on the front of the cover (thankfully); there is no integrated bag to store the cover; the material on the top of the cover is a high sheen metallic silver from front to back; and the tie-down grommet isn't similar to the photo shown: it's more cheaply constructed. Costco should update all of the product information and photos for this item. I didn't expect much from a $59.99 ready-made car cover and this model met my low expectations. The primary issue with the size is that the length of the material on the side of the cover is too short, so the cover doesn't completely cover either side of the car and leaves them partially exposed to the elements. The cover's ready-made size offerings may not fit a specific car model in a satisfactory manner. I knew this fact when I purchased this cover and the fit concern was validated. The different materials used in the cover's construction are wafter thin and the overall weight of the cover is simply too light. I noticed some wet moisture under the cover in different spots on the top of the car, which would have resulted from overnight moisture or morning dew. So, the claim of water resistance is questionable. In light wind, the cover will inflate like a balloon and blow off the car. The elastic bands in the front and rear of the cover are minimal in length and generally have no elasticity, so the cover won't remain tucked under the front and rear of the car. A tie-down bungee cord is required to keep the cover on the car, which will flap up during a high wind event and allow debris to blow in under the cover. I found tree leaf debris that had settled all over my windshield while the cover was on the car and tied down with bungee cords. A heavier cover weight would preclude this issue. I've purchased a number of ready-made car covers at this price point that were superior in quality and fit to this cover. I stopped paying over $100-plus for a cover because those purchases didn't guarantee a better quality product either. This cover is better suited for indoor use on a car parked in a garage. Update on September 18,2022: This car cover was used daily outdoors for a period of nearly six months. It was either parked in a fully-shaded or partially-shaded spot or mostly in direct sunlight. Depending on the weather conditions, and over a nearly six-month period, the cover routinely allowed overnight moisture to permeate through its material and puddle on the car's surface, which left outlines of moisture stains on the car's clear coat. The cover's material began to disintegrate in large spots and then tear at some seams at the five-month mark. It's going in the trash as soon as another car cover, which I ordered today, arrives in a week or so.
