I had the WORST experience of my life booking with Zuji.com.sg.
I wanted to book a flight on their website, I saw the timing 6pm to leave singapore and 7pm leaving bangkok. I clicked on the promotion, it was a package with a hotel and flight together. After I made my payment they sent me a receipt saying that my flight was not confirmed. IF YOU GUYS CANNOT CONFIRM THE FLIGHT DO NOT PUT IT ON THE WEBSITE. I am paying to GET that package, not to try my luck. I contacted the contact centre, and to my horror the FLIGHT I BOOKED WAS AT 8AM leaving singapore and 1 pm leaving bangkok which was out of my schedule. I even took a picture before I made payment to send it to my friend to make sure I made the right booking, and the system just automatically booked another flight? To make matters worse, the staff told me that she would try to find another flight. I asked her if I would get a full refund and she assured me that I will if she was unable to get the flight I wanted. There was no flight at that timing for that price so I had to change from my initial $502 to $589. I agreed.
Half an hour later, she called to say the flight prices have risen and on top of my 589 i have to top up $12. I was about to tilt. They gave me no choice so I agreed to top up $12 to get my desired flight. - WHICH IN THE FIRST PLACE I DID CHOOSE THAT WHEN THE PRICES WERE LOW BUT THEY DID NOT PROCESS MY BOOKING FOR ME AND EVEN SELECTED THE WRONG FLIGHT? At that time I was booking there was a mastercard promotion of a $50 rebate so I thought it was fine to top up another $12.
1 hour later she called to inform me that the prices had gone up and I had to top up $37 instead. I was enraged so I said i would want a full refund instead. What happened next? She told me my hotel was nonrefundable, and she didn't know. I really wonder how these people work in Zuji. They do not know anything! And after that she assured me that I would stll get my $50 rebate. I asked to speak to the manager and agreed to top up the $37 if he assured me I would still have the $50. HE ASSURED ME I WOULD GET IT. I was transferred back to the girl and she did my transaction and surprisingly, she said that I would only need to top up $13 now because the flight prices have gone down. I AGREED AND PAID FOR THE TRANSACTION HAPPILY. I received my confirmation in full wilth the flight prices that I paid with the additional top up of $13.
My peace was not for long. The next day they sent me an email to get back to them on the same day before 8pm or else my flight would be cancelled because the flight was not confirmed and i had to top up an additional $22.85 for the flight. I called them back and all they said was that they could not do anything about it, and they would gladly cancel my flight. However if i cancelled my flight, my hotel was non refundable. I told them I have already received an email in black and white that they have confirmed my flight with the payment i made. GUESS WHAT THE STAFF ANSWERED ME. She said, in our terms and conditions, we have stated that Zuij has the right to amend the prices without anyone's consent. Thus, I did not have a choice but to top up. I agreed after a long debate and I was obviously, at the losing end because they did not even try to help me seek a waiver. When i asked them to bear the charges, all they said was sorry the only options you have now is to top up or cancel.
After 1 hour, I received another call, it was the girl i spoke to the day before and she informed me that due to the change of my flight, my rebate was no longer valid because i had to book a package and because they changed my flight, it was booked separately and i no longer had the rebate. I was so furious and told her I had already done the $22.85 top up and now this? SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW I HAD TO TOP UP $22.85! Which got me all worried if it was a scammer that had my credit card details. She went to check and all she said was sorry and that the prices went up when she did the booking. Due to her slow booking, i was charged even more, even when I booked it early. I said you and your manager assured me i would get the $50, now on top of the $22.85 i was charged, i had to fork out another $50? I asked her to find a solution to it and her manager spoke to me saying the same thing that they cannot do anything about it. I felt so scammed, this company has no integrity.The manager told me he never read the terms and conditions of the promotion so he doesnt know that if it was a separate booking, the $50 would not apply, thus he assured me. Now that he knows, he is sorry he cant do anything. AND THE SEPARATE BOOKINGS WERE NOT DONE BY ME BUT BY THE GIRL WHO CHANGED MY FLIGHT. Even after pointing out all their mistakes, i was the one who still had to bear the consequences. ALL THEY DID WAS APOLOGIZE? What can your apology do? They explained to me it's the company's procedure and bla bla bla... so inflexible when IT WAS NOT EVEN MY FAULT. Because when i paid, they didnt have the flight available for me like they offered and gave me another flight. NOT ONLY THAT, During the times when I was upset about the top up, guess what the people said to me.
" it's not much of a difference for the top up, it is just a small amount"
And i told them if it is a small amount, how about you bear it. And they said sorry u know we cant do that.
No doubt all of them sounded empathatic and $#*! but they did not solve my problem?
AND I HAD TO PAY EXTRA WHEN I DIDNT NEED TO.
AND I COULDNT DO A REFUND.
AND IT WAS THEIR FAULT NOT MINE.
WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE.
ZUJI IS NOT RELIABLE AT ALL. NEVER WILL I DO MY BOOKINGS WITH THEM AGAIN.
I requested for an email to be sent to me in black and white saying that I will have NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES AFTER THIS. And guess what?
