I purchased a 2ct diamond from Zoara about 4 years ago and could not possibly be happier with the stone I wear daily in the most stunning engagement ring/wedding band combination. It makes me sad that Zoara is no longer available for others now! I hardly know the whole story about the company, but my local jeweler was amazed with my stone and told me he would never had been able to sell me the diamond I got from Zoara at the price I paid. I'm so thankful I fell into this and will always enjoy the stunning jewel I am able to wear.

These guys have a huge mess going on in their billing department. They want to run all sort of strange verifications (including pictures of your credit card) in order to send you your already paid goods.
They take all the time in the world to reply and of course that takes time away from shipping. This end up ruining the anniversary gift I had for my wife...
Anyways, go to a jewlery store, much safer and quicker

Zoara made us wait 6 weeks for a custom made wedding ring just to tell us it was out of stock. To late tofind another. So Zoara, never again!

Placed an order for a diamond and made the payment, but a week later I was told that the diamond is no longer available. Has been dragging for a couple of weeks now to find a replacement but still hasn't resolved. Very frustrating with my money being in their bank account for weeks and I have to talk to different representatives each time I called and was told I can only wait at this point in time while keep searching. Very unpleasant experience.

I strongly advise not to purchase at Zoara!

On their website, Zoara promises a life time waranty. This is a lie. They refuse to replace my jewelry, being defect after 6 months.

I paid a loose diamond. They said the diamond is milky. I said I don't mind and will waive my rights to return the diamond but they still refuse to send the diamond I paid for. They want me to choose another diamond and said will match the price of any diamonds on other website. So I send them the link to the website which has the diamond I wish for. They then replied and said they could not match the price. That website must have priced that diamond wrongly. I asked for refund of the money I paid since they keep giving all sorts of reasons. I checked my credit card bill. I lose $70 over a course of a week due to currency exchange. So I was denied of the diamond I want, then I have to pay $70 for nothing. Never buy again from this company. They are not the cheapest too!

A few abrasive markings in 18k band. Will be looking into buffing out before the question is popped. Apart from that pretty good service. Would like a phone call maybe when order is received, just for that extra personal touch and care. Thanks for being part of our lives, in these exciting times, which will never be forgotten. Where do I begin.

I placed my order on June 7th for my fiance's ring, everything went well but then received several calls from unknown numbers a couple of days later and an email stating that I had contacted them when I had not.
When I contacted the company it was just a notice that my ring would be shipped a week from the time that they called. It was nice to hear but weird that you should contact me a week in advance just to tell me that my ring would ship when an email would be suffice and from an unknown number on top of that. Fast forward to today, I receive a sketchy email stating that the billing department has not approved my credit card as a payment method BUT ZOARA ALREADY CHARGED MY CARD AND IT POSTED!
Zoara then sends me an email stating that a wire transfer is what you prefer, how about no. I contacted customer service only to be told that yes this happens, etc, etc, etc. No this happens to you. We've ordered from James Allen previously with no problems.
Since this occurred today, I will wait a day to ensure that my refund has been posted or I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company and will be contacting the BBB to note the shadiness of this company.
The ring was great and I was looking forward to seeing the craftsmanship to determine if I would continue to order additional items but the shadiness of this company is appalling so once this return is finalized, I will never deal with Zoara again.

I ordered a pendant for my husband a month ago and they never sent it. I called them and they said they would call back and they didn't. So I called again and they said the pendant is no longer available. So i've been out $100 for a month for nothing but a headache. Will never shop here again.

They do NOT reply to emails. Even after an order is placed and purchased. 10 days later still no response, no shipment tracking #, no update. They do NOT care.
The stone I wanted did not have a number on the GIA certificate!
The stone I paid for still did NOT get shipped. I call them and they say it is FINE. Everything is fine. But they do not reply to emails and still I did not get the loose diamond!

Tip for consumers:
Do not rely that the stone you order will actually be available for you!!
Do not rely on their DELIVERY timing.
They do NOT reply to emails :(

With these certificate numbers, our customers are able to pull up a diamond’s information on the official GIA website. The diamond’s GIA number is provided with the diamond upon delivery.

I ordered a ring from Zoara and they promised that i will get it in 10 days. They couldn't delivery it on time because they screw up (they gave me excuses till the end that they will deliver it. I have to buy a new ring for my engagement on the spot). So i have to cancel it. And asked for refund. I did get my refund back but they took out $130 out of it. Saying they are US company and their is rate difference now. Really disappointed... really wouldn't recommend this to any one..

We spent days short listing diamonds n been emailing and calling for real photos yet no response to any of our emails finally I came down to one diamond that I decided was it, got a call back from zoara after 2 days n was told they will send me the picture. I sent the measurements of the diamond to the jeweler who will custom make me the setting, while waiting for the picture I went on zoaras website to c the diamond again ant it was not there any more so I immediately called them they said it is possible vendor has sold it so I picked another stone n same process again, while waiting for the picture to come and getting the measurements changed for my setting again I checked the website n the diamond was gone! Seems like their stock is not updated n only once a customer asks for a specific diamond that they check the availability with the vendor (overseas, in very different time zones) which takes days. This is my second purchase from them I was very happy with my first purchase but that was 2 years ago. I'm not sure I shud spend more time with them even tho their diamonds r best priced they lack in setting options, when custom making a setting though another jeweler (I'm still waiting for zoara to give me a quotation for them making my setting) one pays a lot more then if one just bought the entire ring from one retailer which takes a lot less time and work without multiple shippings n... So maybe the lesser price of the diamond by zoara does not compensate for much specially if buying one diamond turns into deciding on a different diamond every few days.

I had originally purchased a ring from Zoara and it was then recommended to me by Zoara that another ring was available to match my original ring which I thought was great. So when I buy the so-called matching ring it turns out that it couldn't be further from reality. They pretty much just plucked any ring out of their catalogue and said it was the matching ring. In no way does it match and I have pictures to prove it which I emailed to them in disgust. They also stated in an email which I still have that they would give a discounted price for the second ring after my original purchase and when I tried contacting them to discuss this price (5x emails and many calls with no replies!) it was as if the company had shut down because there was absolutely no communication whether it was live their 'live chat', email and phone number.
When I returned the awful second ring, they would not reimburse me for the postage I had to pay to return it and also the GST that I had to pay for the item to arrive in Australia. So essentially I have thrown away over $250 in GST and postage for receiving absolutely nothing. Completely down the drain. They reimbursed the price of the ring when I returned it but not the other costs. So beware that if you purchase something and you want to swap or return it they will not cover the postage and GST costs which in my case was $250 for a $1400 wedding ring. It would be a lot more for a more expensive ring. Any item you purchase over $1000, you get a call from Australian customs and they do not release the ring to you unless you pay the GST cost which is a nasty surprise. Zoara do mention this somewhere on their site if you look hard enough for it but it's not something you go looking for if you don't know you have to pay it. In summary, I personally don't think it's worth the hassle and after my experience I would recommend others to not buy through Zoara.

After ordering some earrings, was told they were not available. The customer service I received in response to this order was very poor - generally very rude unresponsive people on the online chat function, and zero response from email. I ended up having to cancel my order (although I notice that the website STILL says that the product is available - beware). I then had to ask for my order to be cancelled twice as they did not do anything after the first attempt. It now turns out that they have refunded me the price of the earrings but not that 20%+ taxes that they charged me on top! So far, no response from the company except to say that I have been passed onto the billing. I am not hopeful... Stay far far away from this company.

As for the refund, we are always very quick in tending to our customer’s request for this. We also make sure our customers are refunded for the full amount that they paid for our products. Our company does not charge taxes on any of our items. As it states on our website, we cannot be held accountable for any taxes or conversion fees that a non-U.S. Bank may charge.

After a week and a half into when I should have received my ring order, I had to email them to ask why it took so long. After multiple attempts to get through their customer service line - which took forever - they told me the diamond supplier did not have my diamond in inventory and it would take another 2 weeks to get the ring. Not to mention, I extensively stressed the fact I needed the ring within their advertised timeframe.

If you want to play your cards to get an average ring, go with them. I rather pay a little extra at retail and get extra perks like insurance for loss. Something to consider on a high value investment. Overall, I'm very upset at their quality of service and poor execution to deliver on time and not have kept their promise.

Do not buy from Zoara! I had a horrible experience with Zoara. I'd read several reviews and went into the experience with high hopes and was deeply disappointed. After finding a diamond for an engagement ring and ordering it, they pulled the classic BAIT AND SWITCH! First, they claimed they couldn't accept my credit card after I had checked with my credit card, e-mailed Zoara identification and a copy of the credit card. They asked me to send a Wire Transfer from my bank. Then, when they finally accepted the credit card 2 days later, the diamond was "no longer available." Very frustrating experience. They said they would provide a diamond of higher quality for the same price, but, when I researched the diamond I found it on their web-site for LESS than I paid and it was of poorer Polish, clarity and dimensions! Everything I had read about companies you SHOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH, THEY DID! Stay away from Zoara!

Simply tricksters.
You wire money to them, say everything is just fine.
After you ran out of patience you call them back and they say "we are out of stock on your item". May take years to refund you.

Unfortunately your diamond was out of stock which was discovered on the weekend. We had to wait until Monday in order to contact you with alternates but you contacted us on the weekend and we had to explain then without the alternated prepared yet.

In events of items being out of stock, our policy is to upgrade the customer whenever possible or to refund them if this is not a possibility. You requested a refund which was processed within 1 business day of your request.

Your claim of taking years to refund a customer is false and utterly baseless. We regret that you decided to post false information over this issue when we have refunded you immediately as you requested.

Hello, i just wanted to share my experience with ZOARA. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment which cost me money for nothing.
The purchase was a diamond ring with a total value of 1048$, all good so far. The problem started with payment method, I went with the normal procedure of ordering the item until I hit the payment step. For some reason (unexplained one, according to customer support) the payment wasn't able to be completed via direct pay with card. They supplied an alternative method by wire transfer. Talked to the bank and issued a wire transfer to zoara (cost so far 15$ in commission). Although the wire transfer has 1.5% discount the invoice didn't reflect this (please pay attention on this).

Payment took almost 3 working days to be cleared (I'm from europe). After 2 days of payment confirmation I've received an email that the diamond I've added to the ring is not available anymore and that they will reserve another one with the vendor (according to them with same or better quality). Unfortunately the second diamond didn't have an actual photo so that I can see if there is any flaws in the center of the diamond.

All in all i would not recommend ZOARA simply because theire purchasing procedures are not in customer favor.

We're sorry to hear of your disappointment.

Upon checking your case we saw that your credit card payment attempt did not pass our security checks and therefore an alternate method of payment was offered. The 1.5% discount was reflected in the amount that you were asked to pay and it would have been reflected in the invoice provided when shipped. As your order didn't ship since you cancelled it and were refunded, you did not receive an invoice for it.

Banks can and typically do charge wire fees, however the wire discount typically cancels them out.

We order diamonds upon the receipt of payment since until the payment arrives there is no guarantee that it was made. Unfortunately diamonds are for sale to other companies as well and are always subject to prior sale. Per our policy we offered you a significant upgrade at our expense but unfortunately you did not accept our suggestions and asked for a refund.

Your refund was sent for the exact sum received. Since your payment to us was missing a significant amount, you received less than what you were asked to pay us. If you would have provided us with the full payment, that would have been sent to you.

We regret that you did not accept our solutions offered and we can assure you that Zoara maintains strict precision with payments. If you are refunded for an order, you will be sent back exactly what was paid.

Horrible! The people at this company tell you one thing and deliver another. Very bad experience. A diamond is a far too important purchase to be making with a company that is either deceitful or inept. Go elsewhere!

My son purchased a loose diamond from these people. A week after purchase, they sent an email informing him "the diamond you selected is no longer available" with a suggested substitute stone stock number link attached. The stone was not nearly as nice as the one he purchased and no actual picture of the diamond was available. He declined the stone. He heard not another word from them. The following day, he was checking stones on their website and lo and behold, the diamond he had initially purchased was BACK in their inventory (they removed it after he purchased it). When an email was sent asking how it was on their website again if it wasn't available, there was no reply, but the next morning it was gone again. It could have been a mistake, but more likely was put back on to lure someone else into their bait and switch program. At any rate after multiple emails that went unanswered over several days asking for them to just refund the credit card as he no longer wanted to deal with them, he had to file a claim against them with the bank that issued his credit card. Two days later we get a "so sorry" email from the customer service manager. I can accept that, they are a sorry outfit. Problem is it is hard to tell if they are this inept or this cunning. Neither is good, but I am betting they are mostly con artists. Do not believe the positive reviews, they are likely all "compensated" in some way. The ones that are similar to our story are the ones to believe. IF YOU DO BUY FROM THEM, I RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE WIRE TRANSFER. I cannot imagine how long it would take for you to get your funds back in that case……

For the past month I was in the market for an engagement ring and I was very serious in buying one as I will propose this coming August. I contacted 3 Zoara customer service agents through their online chat concerning loose diamonds. It's been over a week and 2 of them never followed up. The one that did simply sent me automated emails without any info concerning my requests. I had to recontacted them, but no progress has been made. During that time I also contacted other online retailers and they were very prompt with their replies and helping me make an educated choice as most of you must know choosing a diamond can become quite overwhelming. They sent me 10x pictures of different diamonds, back and forth emails, phone calls, follow ups and helping me narrowing my choices. When I finally chose the retailer I wanted to do business with, they helped me into creating the perfect custom settings to go with my diamond. A very pleasant shopping experience. But here at Zoara, I only requested a 10x picture of 1 single diamond and they have yet to send me anything, nor did they do any real follow up. When I asked one of their agent a 10x picture, she thought I wanted 10 pictures of the same diamond hahaha lol. Seriously? During that time I was able to choose the right diamond for me, create my custom setting and place the order with a competitor. Zoara is a real joke. Shame on you! Makes me wonder if their diamonds are legitimate since they can't even provide a single picture. Buyers beware!

During your time with us, we had been in touch with you everyday since you placed the order and had made sure to request photographs of the diamond from the vendor the day you asked us to. Sometimes, it may take a little bit longer than 1 business day to receive the photographs.
I would like to assure you that all of our diamonds are guaranteed GIA certified. The GIA certificates for our diamonds are posted on our website, and our customers receive the Diamond Grading Report and the appraisal for their diamonds in their orders.
All feedback, whether positive or negative, allows us to grow and better ourselves as a company so that any errors that may have occurred will never happen again. When our manager contacted you, she really wanted you to accept our offer to provide you with a solution that would rectify the matter.

Ordered pearls for my wife's birthday two weeks before the date. Were asked on the website if it was for a birthday and, if so, on what date. Even though I paid immediately, the pearls arrived a day late, and I had to find another present to give her on the day. My follow up complaint has up to now, a week and a half later, been met with absolute silence. If this is the attention given to their customers, I wonder how reliant their money back guarentee is.
