I am a proud owner of a Zager ZAD900. I contacted Dennis Jr about a problem where I was getting a ping here and there, mostly around the B string. Dennis and Jessica recommended adding humidity by placing wet washcloths (wrung out but wet) inside the guitar with the sound hole covered by saran wrap and left in the closed case for 72 hours. I was more than skeptical when the problem didn't resolve right away. I continued to email Dennis and Jessica and was sure the ping was caused by something other than humidity, like a fret adjustment. They continued to tell me to repeat the washcloth process. I did so... two more times, and to my amazement, the problem went away. The guitar plays beautifully... even after lowering the action a bit I get very clean and gorgeous tones all the way up and down the neck on all strings. Two lessons learned for me... listen to what the Zagers tell me and keep my guitars in their cases with the Zager humidifiers and NEVER let them get that dry ever again. Currently, I gig about 6-7 times per week, and although I own a number of beautiful custom guitars, my Zager goes with me to every gig due to the ease of play and the beautiful tones it generates!

After waiting a while I finally received my Zager 50CE Cutaway guitar. If I was upset about the wait it subsided quickly after seeing this beautiful piece of work. Sound is incredible and plays easier for me which was what attracted me to spend what I would never have spent. I'm excited to play again and have started taking guitar lessons online to learn to really make music instead of just playing the same old chords again. Thank you Zager family for renewing my love for playing guitar again!

I love my ZAD50 OM. Im neither professional nor great guitar player, but I know one thing. Having a good guitar is very important if you wanna learn and enjoy the hobby. As Zager promise, the Easy Play is True. I enjoy fingerstyle playing. With this guitar I can play for hours. Almost no effort to make chords and hear all the notes. The sustain is great. You can trust that all statements written about these guitars are true. Built by a guitar player for guitar players. Quality is as promised. I was looking to get a Martin 000-17. I have a Martin X-Series and was looking to upgrade to all-solid wood. Then I came across Zager on Facebook. And after reading and watching the videos, I pulled the trigger and placed my order. Within just days, I got my new guitar. And I was blown away from quality and sound. So Denny and Dennis, I would like to thank you for such a great guitar. JB

I purchased the parlor model and am very pleased with the sound and easy playability.
Their customer service is top notch, they're very prompt on answering emails, and helping in whatever way they can.
Zager is the only company I'm aware of that will allow you to try their guitar at home for 30 days and pay for return shipping if you're not satisfied. Thank you Dennis Zager and staff, you all are great!

After experiencing the personal attention to my questions, before buying, I am now moved by the integrity of this solid built guitar. The action is better than my Alvarez guitars. I find more comfort in forming chords with less fret buzz and/or finger crowding. It feels a tad different, but I attribute that to years of using other guitars, often with their challenges. String height adjustment is possible, the craftmanship is top notch, having received improved bracing, as Denny Zager noted. The sound w/out amplification is deep & warm. All in all, I consider this my last 'main' guitar, and it has so far proven itself!

I received my Zager ZAD80CE in July. It was an amazing product. Sound quality, Workmanship, and ease of playing. About mid October I noticed a strange tone on the # 1 & # 2 string only on the 12-13-14-15 frets. The note was off key and did not change tone across those frets. I called Zager and within minutes Henry, a staff member returned my call and told me it was due to a humidity problem. A followup text came from Dennis Zager Jr. With a link to a video on how to rehydrate my guitar. Followed the directions and after letting it set for three days retuned and played it with the same original excellent sound. Due to left hand surgery, I could not play my '`76 Guild D25. I thought I would give Zager Guitars a try. Having received my ZAD 50 CE earlier than anticipated, I am totally gassed. Received today and so totally pleased by quality, sound and playability of guitar. Amazing instrument to help doctors, lawyers and Ibankers to sound somewhat talented.

Playing like I did a long time ago before surgery; thanks. Truly pleased.

Zager Guitars is a family owned guitar maker in Lincoln Nebraska. There guitars are called EZ-Play because they focus on making them easy to play. I'm a singer songwriter in NYC and for years have been playing a vintage Martin D-35 which sounds amazing but is a bit boomy for recording (that famous Martin bass is too much in that context so I'm always rolling off low end). I decided to try a Zager OM model for recording and because I was curious. I couldn't ask for a better experience or guitar. The instrument lives up to its name in terms of playability; absolutely a joy to play. And the sound is gorgeous even when new. Balanced and bright but without ever being harsh or twangy. The high end especially sings. It's already starting to open up a bit even after just a few weeks and I can't wait to hear it in a year. It is so inspiring to play both because of the tone and the responsiveness. And not only is fretting easy but also bends and slides. Which brings me to the workmanship; which is flawless. The wood is beautiful and the zipper on the back and abalone inlay add just the right touch of detail. My model is the ZAD50CE OM size acoustic electric, not their most expensive one. The value is out of this world. And the folks at Zager have been a pleasure to deal with every step of the way, super responsive and helpful.

Mr. Zager I received my ZAD50CE almost a month ago and after playing about all of the top brand guitars for almost 50 years I can honestly say this guitar is equal to better than any i've played. It's a beautiful instrument with great sound, the setup is perfect and extras that were included in my purchase was a very nice surprise. I just wanted thank you for this awesome guitar. I felt I should share share with your company that after owning your ZAD80CE "Aura" model for 3 weeks now it's everything you promised it would be. I'm a performing artist, having 50 years of experience, have owned and played about everything out there and I was looking for a guitar that has friendlier playability and sounds beautiful. I've been playing a Martin as my go to for years and I was completely prepared to return your guitar if it wasn't better than my Martin or didn't live up to your claims. I want you to know I'm completely satisfied and impressed in all categories. I love how it sounds and it's playability. Also, thank you for your customer service. My guitar took 5 months to get here but you took $100 off to compensate and included a capo, an extra pick guard and Denny's personal thank you note was a nice and thoughtful touch. No other company would have done that. I never would have taken the time to write a company a personal email but I really appreciate it when a company delivers on their word.

In April of 2021 I ordered a Zager Guitar Model 80. Upon receiving the guitar I noticed that it did not play or should well at all. I took the guitar to a friend of mine that is a luthier. He confirmed my suspicions that the guitar was defective on many levels. I contacted Zager about the issues and they had me send back the guitar. I was promised a refund. It is now nearly November of 2021 and even after many contacts and promises... NO REFUND!

This guitar is everything you hope for, at a price that is unbelievable. Great company and great guitar. Beautiful craftsmanship and easy playing

I received my ZAD50CE Solid African Mahogany Acoustic Electric just over one week ago and have really been enjoying it. I'll try to concisely summarize the features that make it fun to play.
First, I'm impressed the how easy it is to play with bends, even up to three or four semi-tones. I haven't been able to do that on my other acoustic.
Next, the extra space between strings makes soloing and most chords easier to play cleanly. I have short fingers, so it did take me a few days to get used to the extra spacing, but once I did, I started to appreciate it.
Another great feature is the built-in Fishman tuner and tone control. This guitar sounds fantastic plugged into an amp. And the tuner is a nice feature, not only to stay in tune, but also for anyone wanting to learn individual notes up and down the fret board (the tuner shows the note being played).
Finally, the guitar just looks great. I appreciate the craftsmanship, experience and careful thought that went into building this fun-to-play instrument.

PS My purchase date shows as May 16,2021, but as stated, I was able to receive it in October. No fault of the Zagers - we can thank pandemic supply chain effects.

Great customer service. Not only are they a family business, but they also treat you like family as well. They were so helpful on all the questions I kept bothering them with. Love my zad20! I definitely recommend them to anyone to at least give them a try. They keep there word, which is rare these days. -Kurt

Received my Zager ZAD50CE a couple of days ago and upon the first strum I was impressed with the sound this guitar produced. Although it's 15% smaller than a full body guitar it definitely bellows out. It's a beautiful machine and I'm very impressed with the workmanship that went in to give it birth. I'll never give this baby away.

Well i ordered my guitar in July and shortly afterwards was informed that due to supply shortages it would take additional time to get my guitar and was given the choice of canceling the order or waiting,, so I decided to wait, and it took some time but i just received it in october, and i'm glad i did, I read all the reviews and great story's about how good they are and how easy they are to play, and I own quite a few nice acoustics that play and sound good as well.The day came and my guitar arrived and it was well packaged for shipping. After unpacking everything, First let me say the case is top of the line, I removed the guitar and tuned it up and tried it out and I have to say, I was impressed with the action an ease of playing. The sound and finish is awesome, I'm definitely happy with the guitar, it is now my favorite guitar and i'm so glad I waited for it.So you can believe the reviews on line these are awesome guitars, so order one and you won't be disappointed, Thanks Zager
