Motor medics were excellent -Stephanie who dealt with customer service was great and Ryan the car mechanic. Ryan identified the problem with the car, and sent off for a part fixed the car and returned it. The price quoted was very good. Will definitely use again and recommend to friends.

Beware of this company. Couldn't be a worse customer service experience. They literally have been completely ignoring me. They never answer or pick up their corporate phone. It goes straight to voice mail. They never return the voice mail you leave. They won't even reply to your emails either. They took almost $90 out of my account that I shouldn't have been charged. Neat trick just taking someone's money and not having to answer for it.

Yellow pages automatically rejects your privacy because it rejects VPNs. I get their business is for profit but in todays world you'd think they would balance profit with privacy or at the very least develop an algorithm / capcha (easy to do) so VPN user could still see their info. I guess they'r so profitable they don't need to. If so, kinda makes ya wonder about their perspective on clients.

Useless marketing and support. I wonder what I actually pay for.
Had a manager call me back to advise me that he had no intention to find a solution to my problem.
Therefore x4 times having to repeat myself and what a colossal waste of time.
Yellow pages does not come recommended.

I cancelled our ad with "the real yellow pages" and according to them they have no record of that so they are forcing me to pay for services I do not want. They are crooks of the worst kind.

DO NOT Advertise with Yellow Pages! All they care about is the money. They have a totally unethical practice of cancelling services. It takes 30 days for them to cancel your account in which time you will be charged another month service. You cannot argue or reason with them. My business was closed down and they still charged me and said that the service was still running for the 30 days that it takes to cancel like it was of some value to me. Why advertise a business that is closed!? It's just their way of squeezing another months worth of money from the advertisers. They offer no resolutions whatsoever. They only care about your money, not about whether you get results.

Tip for consumers:
Use Google, STAY AWAY FROM YELLOW PAGES!

I was sold advertising on yellow pages by one of their cowboys who promised me countless leads. After about 6 months when not even one inquiry came through, I stopped paying for their $#*!ty advertising. Their threatened to sue me for not wanting to continue just handing over my money.

You cannot get a free listing without going thru a horrible 1.5 hr sales pitch, where the sales person keeps talking over you. Then he said I keep talking over him, when I try to fit a word in. They also don't have a 'set price list'. I mean seriously? So, you have to make a decision on the phone with the fast talking sales person. Shady to me. My blood pressure is 200 after talking to this guy, Brett Conrad. Yikes.

I have a fake review on the yellow pages website. The wording in the review proves it is not real and not about our small business. Yellow Pages refuses to review this and verify. It is impossible to get through to a person and ask for help. The automated system locks you out when you try to reach out to them more than one time.

Easy to follow, great source of information. Always up to date. It's been a great source of information for as long as I can remember. My granny use to stack them on top of the chair, just so I could be tall enough for the table. Great memory.

If you ever search YP for reviews on a business and that business has no reviews. That means they have many many negative reviews.
YP does not accept reviews that are negative.
Pretty worthless service.

This company has been asked both verbally and by written request to take down information about our company that is incorrect for over 3 years off and on now and yet they still have done nothing. They did call on one occasion and told us that if we paid them a large sum of money, then they would go ahead and update the free profile that they have our account under but otherwise, they told us there was nothing they could do to change it. So we requested that they at least remove our company information all together because you see.any information out on the interwebs about a company that is different or does not mesh up with other information will throw off the algorithm which in return could cause the company to either lose customers based on the fact that when they find out that a company doesn't even exist at a particular address and yet yellow pages is saying that it does...people tend to believe that the company is a scam company for one and for another, it tends to make it so that your company doesn't show up first, second or even third down the list of similar companies like yours in your area because Google can't verify that your company is the only company in your area or that it is not in fact.a scam company. So because yellow pages is actively choosing to put information out there about our company that is false and they are actively choosing not to change that information or to take it down unless we pay them a large sum of money then it will cost our company money in the end anyway?
My question is since when did Yellow Pages decide to employ members of the Mafia? Are they now fully owned by them too because not one single employee here has acted any other way but this way nor have they taken any steps in attempting to resolve the issue and either fix or take down the misinformation that they have posted on their website despite the many formal and informal requests and without any regard for truth or facts.

Yellow Pages is only after your money not in helping you succeed in any manner. They did not help promote my business out site of putting my business name in their search engine. When I shattered my ankle and my business failed, they started to sue me. During litigation beginning they had to indefinitely suspend it. They waited until I started piecing my life togeteher to reinstate the litigation and since I had moved from the state they were able to make wage garnishments that puts me in a place where my life is financially in jeopardy. Do they care. Of course not they want to be paid.

I wrote reviews of Squidders Bait and Tackle, Squidders Supply Store and Squidders Overnight lodge, and posted them on YP's site. I have some serious issues with the service I received at that business as a brief regular customer there, so of course the posts were critical... 100% honest and accurate, but quite critical.

The first review posted fine, and remained online for several days. It was the only review that Squidders had on YP at the time. Then the owners of the business found it, disputed it, and somehow got it removed. They unsuccessfully tried to do the same thing on other sites, on the same day.

I sent a message to YP support to inquire about my review. They never replied. I tried posting another review, describing some of my other experiences. That one never showed up online, at all. Squidders' online YP page now says that there are no reviews yet for that business.

I'll try to post one of the reviews below to give an example of what they removed. I'll also try to post a couple of screenshots. My take-away from this though, is that the The Real Yellow Pages online customer reviews are fixed... a scam. If businesses can have negative, but accurate and honest customer reviews about them removed there, then YP's reviews have zero credibility, and therefore zero value.

Here is an example of one of my reviews:

"Some of my personal experiences at Squidders Bait and Tackle:

On an exciting day at Squidders Bar and Tackle in Vandemere, NC...

You might get to see the store manager and her girlfriend, both of whom have a history of making false accusations against men, trying to convince a female customer that two other male customers had just sexually assaulted her. You might also get to see the two of them then play the innocent little victims when they get called out for their lies by the other customers 10 seconds later.

Or...

You might get to see the best friend of the store owners, a very large & imposing male nurse, fly into an unprovoked drunken rage and try to attack a young female customer who gets away, and then physically assault a disabled American combat veteran who is also attempting to flee the violent situation.

If your eye is quick enough, you might even get to see one of the owners' extremely drunk friends groping another customer's sexual parts, without their consent, and completely against their will. Karaoke night is usually your best time to see that.

You're unlikely to hear the truth about these events though, because the owners and their friends have a habit of belittling the victims while trying to convince them that what happened to them was actually their own fault. If that doesn't shut them up, they've even been known to threaten them, as well as spread lies around about them to discredit anything they may have to say.

In the short time that I was a regular there, I witnessed all of the above, along with so much, much more, but there's simply not enough room to recount it all... or even most of it.

On a trypical day however, it's mainly just musty old women, along with a few of their ever obedient male orbiters, all sitting around chain-smoking while getting drunk and telling lies about their neighbors behind their backs."

"Free ad" offered by yellow pages is only for a purpose of collecting your contact details for further processing (not for your business free local ad, unfortunately)

In August 2021 (over 6 months ago) I have created my acc on Yellow Pages online, as I wanted to take advantage of the offer "Start for free with FREE Ad" advertised there. Before my business details appeared on the yellow pages website I had already a call from yellow pages marketing staff offering me plenty of their marketing offers. I said I'm not interested in those offers at the moment, as I would like to check how effectively yellow pages will work for my new business at the local market first. I was surprised when after 1 month I tried to search my business locally (in my suburb) but my business did not pop up at all on the 1-st, 2nd, and last page. I gave a call to them reporting the issue. They said they were going to fix it soon, but they did not (they ignored it). I gave them a call 1 week later. The guy said he is going to fix the issue. He fixed the issue immediately. My business was appearing on yellow pages (locally) for... 1 week and then disappeared again. I gave them a call again, and again the problem was fixed, and like before after a week or 2 my business disappeared from the yellow page listing again. I'm not an expert in that field, but it looks like their system is set to delete (in 7-14 days' time) any free listings if the client did not book a paid ad, or did not take an "advantage" of their other marketing (quite expensive offers) SHAME ON YOU! Yellow pages that your business strategy is based on bating customers with your (cheating) "Free" offer. SHAME!

P.S.
Here is the reply I have just received from Yellow Pages
(SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! As they still want to play with customers the silly game)

Hi Gerard,

My apologies. I was quite confident in making your listing go live again, however as a result of a software issue with our system your Free Listing won't be live again till about a month from now.

You wanted an a explanation as to why the system is not showing your listing. We just recently undergone a system changeover which has affected not only your Free listing, but many other businesses as well. Currently we are trying really hard to resolve not only your issue, but other businesses as well. Once again Apologise for the inconvenience.

Kind Regards,

Azhar Meeragani

I have been buying advertising in Yellow Pages since 1976. I retired in December last '22. On 7th March, I received an invoice for $869.87 from Yellow pages for renewal of adverting. I emailed them back telling them I did not wish to renew and told them to cancel the invoice for $869.87. I then received a succession of calls from different persons telling me I could not cancel and that I owed them $869.87. They claimed that I had authorised the adverting as follows 1) by an oral contract over the phone in 2020 whereby I had agreed to renew the advertising automatically each year without any further action from me and 2) they also claimed I had renewed the contract by not replying to an email they had sent me in December. I had not received this email. They had sent the email to an old email address even though I had informed them of my new address and they had in fact sent the invoice to my new address. I believed I did not owe the money as I had never authorised the advertising. Relying on the oral phone contract was invalid as they had never sent a reminder to my new registered address. Relying on implied authorisation was invalid for similar reasons. I considered I had a good case to defend any action they might bring in the Small Claims Court to force payment of the money. But, in the end, in order to avoid the stress involved in defending the matter in legal proceedings, I paid the amount but stated it was Under Protest. In any case, I think it would be bad business practice to force payment for a future service which will never be delivered and which would be of no use. I urge would-be clients of Yellow Pages not to conclude a contract orally over the phone but to insist on a written contract signed by both parties with each being provided with a copy. Avoid automatic roll - over of contracts. Insist upon a new contract each year.

I used to always suggest YP. COM as the go to place for starting businesses but now am sad to find out they are no longer what they used to be so many years ago.Aparently they have been acquired by a larger corporation who has strayed from YP.COM s model for success.Which was a straightforward offer for a simple product and listing on thier platform. For $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 a year you would be listed on thier mainframe as a local business which would cross link through a rudimentary SEO package of keyword landing pages that would act as a funnel for web traffic. I had a quick conversation with one rep he sold me on the package,he took some general information and sold me on traffic increase a few months out.asked me questions about what i offered.Made a basic page with information i provided, set up everything for me in one day, wrote me a bill and next day my account was Clive and pinging online traffic.
Fast forward to now. That package is no longer available and had gone up over %300% in cost the package i was offered for basic up listing was almost $350.00 a month with no offfered SEO.

The SEO i was offered and i add instead of iPhone listing I originally asked for in first place and was bait switched with was more expensive from $200.00 to $500.00 a month.

I called for a phone listing i still haven't been given even though I asked repeatedly for it so far for 6 emails in from the parent company web designing rep ( not even a YP operator when i call, they keep referring me to this thryve company rep") he still hasn't asked me firmly if I wish to go ahead and get a basic phone page with YP.com? I would've hard sold me on that first thing to start to get money from me so in that respect i dont understand his lack of closure on that simply because i expressed to him it's what I wanted to start off with in the first place.
I will continue the conversation out of morbid curiousity to see what happens.
I dont get the 300 % markup for a simple phone listing?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? They could offer it at a much more reasonable price point!

I honestly think sadly I will be done with doing business with YP.COM sorry to say because what's they used to offer worked so welll and i miss it,i feel like they have it and just are holding back until they try to hard sell the $#*! out of me which only serves to stress me out.If i find out that is the case then i will not only never do business with them but will then actively make it a personal mission to make sure the world knows what they do! I hope I'm wrong,it's just from my experience with companies like this its what they do.
I was on the phone literally complaining about being foisted on Thryve offices instead of being sold by YP.COM for their listed product.Their own web page says in stylish font " THE REAL YELLOW PAGES " and no where on page says THRYVE PARENT COMAPANY OR SUBSIDUARY OF THRYVE?!?!?!?!
I was on the phone and was literally begging, and telling them i was literally begging for them to sell me a product and the YP.COM people said they could not sell me anything and they would send me to thryve again!

I believe YP.COM acquisition will result in their liquidation by the sounds of it soon it wont exist they list to sell you a listing they do not sell any longer.
I should right now have a live phone listing and they should have taken my money i was begging to give to them!
