Total scam! I as well as many others tried to register on this site and was charged the $159. I just registered with the intent on being able to look a the auctions not to actually purchase anything. After contacting them I also was given the runaround and after several email's and chat's with their online reps have now been told that I missed the window for the refund... STAY AWAY THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!

I joined the site but asked to be refunded within 1 hour. I was told to fill out the Return Refund form and wait 28 days. After more than a month, they now telling me that i cannot be refunded. Reps on phone tell me yes i can be refunded but i have to chat with the online reps for the refund and when i ask the online rep for refund, they plainly refuse. Its a run around. I complained to FTC and also to BBB. I will now complain to the Canadian Authority.

I'm not going to give my entire life history just to look at a few items that I may or may not decide to bid on or purchase. I really believe that sites like this are simply phishing for people's information. Lord only knows what they do with it when they get it. If it's a real auction, you should be able to browse through their inventory, and supply your information if and when you decide you want to bid on something. So what if it shows up as a sponsored link on a trusted site, even viruses can do that. All it takes is one click.

I received my credit card bill with a charge of $159.00 from this web site. It is NOT clear on the site when you sign up for an account. I tried to print a refund form from their site tonight and it would not print. They did something to my printer and it wouldn't work at all. I had to unplug it and turn my computer off and reset the default printer so I can use my printer again. DO NOT SIGN UP ON THIS WEB SITE! It is a scam!

To add to the already vast amount of complaints against this rip-off site; just to clarify that they are indeed tricky scammers in their distracting fonts, photos, colors and arrangement of web-pages that is as sly as satin as they take our money, with the conscience of a rapist... was the screw good for you!

They have something great to offer, they mislead a lot of people by charging 159 fee after filling out the registration. I feel sorry I was one of them. Hope to get the money back... someday. Can't get to their site at this time, hope it's not shut down.

This site needs shut down and now. They get $159.00 from you and there was 12 auctions running, 4 of which were points to their auction site. 2 of the auctions were walmart discount cards. OMG I don't shop walmart. I contacted SwipeAuctions.com for a refund--2 minutes after I entered. They sent me a link to fill out forms and it will take 15 days after they receive the snail mail form.
I am going to contact BBB
PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR $$$$

SCAM. You enter your credit card info thinking you are registering for future penny bids and without ANY approval they charge you a $159 fee. Then when you ask for a refund and that you never approved or agreed to this they give you the run around. This is a total SCAM. BEAWARE!

I submitted my credit card and was charged $159.00 for the opportunity to bid on a variety of items. I decided that I did not want to participate, so I immediately requested a refund to my card. I was directed to the refund form and told to send it in and then wait 14 days. I contacted them after 14 days and was told to recontact in 7 days. In seven days, I was again told to contact them in another 7 days. At that time I was told to contact them again in 7 days. They finally agreed that they were sending my refund immediately and advised that it could take 6 to 10 days to show up on my card. The refund never showed up on my card and when I contacted them again, was told that the refund center was shut down. My bank reversed the charge on the card and we have never heard back from SwipeAuctions.com. I have done some checking and found that many people have had the same experience. These people are only taking advantage of the people who respond to their online campaign. Feel free to contact me regarding this phoney company

This web site will not let you sign on. If and when you get on and bid it then does not accept your credit card info when trying to pay. I says your cc is declined even when you know you have a large credit limit on the card. Do not waste your money

Bill B: That was a good overall review of SwipeAuctions but here are some "Fun Facts" on this entertainment shopping penny auction.
Current retail price given by SwipeAuctions is $0.60 each and that price is used to inflate the retail prices given to any merchandise such as laptops and iPods when bonus bids are added.
At last look SwipeAuctions had 9 pages of auction items, 20 to a page. Of these possible 170 to 180 auctions 100 or more are of Bid Packs of 40 bids. And as many as 20 more auction items of Bid packs ranging from 500 to an incredibly smart purchase of 100,000 in one pack for the bargin price of $4495. 00 ($60,000.00 Retail it says on top) You don't have to worry about missing out on that auction because they come up every 5 minutes.
In all, there is about 150,000 individual auctions daily possible and the percentage of bid auctions vs real merchandise is about 99% in favor of bids.
If you leave out the smart buy of the 100,000 bid pack auction (28 million bids offered per day) you will see a total of nearly 15 million bids offered for sale and close at auction in a 24 hour period. The normal price paid per bid averages between $0.03 to as high as $0.05 for the normal bidder while the Power Bidders have been able to scoop up many millions of bids earlier this month for as little as $2.50 for a Bid Pack of 25,000. These power bidders still run away with most of the large bid packs of 1, 000, 2, 000, 5, 000 and larger, that auction prices start at $1.00
Doesn't this all seem to you as an entertaining way to spend your time, collecting all these worthless bids like raffle tickets and gambling on the chance you will get enough to win a prize that the power bidders may not be interested in?

Be very careful! I impulsively signed up on 10/5/10 but when I got past the credit card entry section, I wised up and closed out the window. LO AND BEHOLD... today I received my credit card statement and was charged $159! I used the online chat to tell them to reverse the charge as I had not intended to sign up. I was then given the run around and told to fill out some RIDICULOUS form and MAIL it to them. MAIL? Really? I just called my credit card company and reported it, so I'll let my credit card company deal with those crooks.

Lately, Jennifer and Hernan from swipebids/swipeauctions have been trying to offer refunds and claiming their site is legit.

So, I am sure they can clear up the questions outlined below. As you know, the action(s) of the past can wor for you or against you. I will say, if swipeauctions/swipebids can clearly answer my open letter, I will be the first to respond positively.

Maybe you folks can spread this letter around. I want swipeauctions to see it and answer clearly. Thanks._________________ OPen Letter________________________________

Jennifer,

Maybe you can clear up your real identity then. Is swipeauctions address in Surrey, CO, UT, somewhere in the US, Sherwood Park, AB and anywhere else that I couldn't find.

Then, clear up the swipebids/swipeauctions connection to justthinkmedia. Cross referencing swipebids and justthink media with the BBB produces the same name as the owner. If you look at the past history, you will see a mountain of complaints.

If you can clear up these facts and even put your MAIN address prominantly on your website, you will honestly look better.

Please, no hype. We know you think your site is legit. Just tell us why the multiple addresses and link between justthink media and swipeauctions/swipebids.

This same owner apparently has law suits. One I see is with Oprah who claims she didn't endorse one of the past marketing concepts. Is this true? How about the Microsoft lawsuit with the present owners (but past businesses)? I know this one was settled.

And lastly, tell us specifically about the past owners legal battles in UTAH dealing with "toothpaste".

If you can clear all this up, I will be the first one to openly admit to not being concerned here.

Thank you.

Stay away from this scam, which should be investigated by the feds, although we all know how effective they are. When enquiring and, not being aware enough you suddenly find yourself short $139. The only items, after an intial shot at a few products, which you don't stand a chance of winning, you may win a few $10 Walmaqrt gift vouchers, which then turns out to cost $13.40, with an exhorbant mail handling charge added. Funny, it is always the same amount. Then, for the last 4 days, the only items to bid on is 40 bids, which normally sells at $1.01. FOR YOUR OWN POCKET, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMER, IT WILL COST YOU IF YOU DONT

This site swipeauctions/swipebid is a scam just like all other penny autions. I had tried one of them before; bidcactus. I will never be scamed again by folks like them.

All of these so called penny auction sites are scams, i mean ALL. Without even reading a review, from what goes on their, its easy to tell they are scams. IT IS WORSE THAN GAMBBLING. They call it it penny auction, but one bid is not equal to a penny. So far, if its not ebay, then its no auction.
