I have been using Splendia for the past 5 years, on average 4 times per year. I simply love the company. From the selection of hotels, the accuracy of the pictures and info about the hotels to the after purchase client service. Everything is top notch!

I booked a hotel with Splendia. Then I looked at the reviews. They were horrible. I am traveling to Thailand and the last thing I need is problems when I check in. One review said they do not send and email so you can cancel. That is exactly what happened to me. Another review said they don't answer the phone exactly what happened next. I am fortunate that these reviews were posted. I have now put this in dispute with my credit card. They will refund my money. Thank you for the reviews and saving me a very bad problem. Bunny

I booked a hotel with Splendia. Then I looked at the reviews. They were horrible. I am traveling to Thailand and the last thing I need is problems when I check in. One review said they do not send and email so you can cancel. That is exactly what happened to me. Another review said they don't answer the phone exactly what happened next. I am fortunate that these reviews were posted. I have now put this in dispute with my credit card. They will refund my money.
Thank you for the reviews and saving me a very bad problem.

Have had the most awful trouble with Splendia. They added an extra 10% to my bill which I didn't find out until I returned. They DO NOT answer email or calls.
Have taken action against them.
AVOID at all cost!

I was looking for a luxury hotel in Paris and I found Splendia on Google. They have a great selection with a lot of small boutique hotels and I booked a nice one in the city centre, a few steps from the Louvre museum without any problem.

Tip for consumers:
I did my booking online, but I think you can call them easily

Splendia doesnt let you cancel even when its a mistake.
And They never answer the phone calls, emails.

Imagine if you booked for your long vacation and booked a wrong hotel by mistake?

I will edit my review IF THEY CALL/EMAIL BACK TO ME AND REFUND.

We would like to inform you that when a customer contacts us straight after confirming a booking about which they made a mistake, we try our very best to contact the hotel directly to ask them to wave the fees (in case they apply) and therefore cancel it without charges. In the case there is a cancellation penalty to be applied we contact the hotel immediately to doublecheck whether they accept a free of charge cancellation given the circumstances or not.
Please note it is actually possible to cancel reservations online (through the "Manage your bookings" section) and might not have been aware of it.

Regarding your booking you contacted the hotel directly and then tried to call us several times after 9 pm and once before 9 am (local time). Our offices being located in Spain, we are at that time closed.
Our US line is open from 3 am to 5 pm (Monday to Friday) - we are always happy to assist our dear customers with their queries during that time schedule.

You booked the room on August 10th (by night) and sent e-mails on the same day. We could only deal with your different e-mails on August 11th and therefore called you in order to solve the issue within the shortest time.

We finally managed to cancel your booking free of charge and refunded the deposit on the credit card provided for the booking.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and hope you will have a pleasant stay in Costa Rica.

There is no advantage to using this site. You must prepay the entire hotel rate up front, plus their sizable fee. This would not necessarily be a problem if you were actually getting the best rate, but you don't? I am overpaying by hundreds of euros for a hotel in paris because the hotel dropped it's rate almost immediately after my booking and I have no recourse. So I paid splendia to book me into a hotel that is charging me way more than if I just went directly. They are no help in helping me renegotiate. Basically I am told tough luck for me. Steer clear! Other web sites much better.
