“Why aren't there more sites like this?”

Bernard M.

Really enjoying this site, like the focus on people who are more 'mature' even if it's a little condescending. In terms of people on the website there's certainly good numbers and variety but it still falls a little behind my favourite dating site PrimeTimeLove which I would highly recommend to those that arent already members like me. Overall a good site, 8 / 10.

“Shame on these scammers”

Don't touch it with a bargepole! EasyFling4You Or any other big legit site is better and way cheaper. My review about SeniorPeopleMeet will be totally negative, although I don't usually write reviews, but now I can't keep from complaining about this scam site. What happens when you subscribe to SeniorPeopleMeet is you start meeting fake profile after fake profile. SeniorPeopleMeet website automatically bills you for a year-long membership without even asking you. Shame on them! What a scam!

Everything about this site sucks. They have no way for you to narrow your search in mileage. I've been out on a couple of dates the pictures do not match the people, I've never seen so many Christians who wanted to jump into bed immediately! This place is a total scam I applied for one month and they hit my credit card for almost $60. Worst dating site ever

I joined 6 months ago and regret it. Not even a date ( no, I'm not ugly). The site tells you people "flirt" with you but they are always across the country and 28 years old.
When you look at a profile it will send some of the people a flirt from you. Also when you cancel membership and still have 10 days left, they will prevent you from reading messages and send fraudulent hits to you profile and more messages you can't see.

I used to be a member of Senior people meet but haven't been for two years. My picture is is still there a a "Member" but I'm not. Just logged on after many month and see that I have 88 messages. I never responded b/c I wasn't a member, but it looks like I am.
I've love to take down my profile but can't figure out how.

I meet a guy that was 71 years old at first we hit it off great. Then after 2 weeks he never contacted me to say that he doesn't want to see me anymore. I think that it was very rude of him not to tell me that it was over. I can't wait till my subscription is over. I will never ever use a dating website again. I thought being that age he would be a gentleman and say how sorry he is. Broker

I signed up for six months. Tried hard to vet men I was chatting with, and half were scammers. Many others were not even close to honest, which is not the site's responsibility, but the site itself sends fake flirts and message alerts with no compunction. Especially after my subscription expires. Indicates to me that lying is perfectly acceptable, actually promoted on this site. Not for me! I would not recommend it and will not waste money again.

I'm not a fan of feeling my age but when it comes to dating it does make sense to look for people your age for companionship, at least for friendship. SeniorPeopleMeet provides that chance but I was left a bit disappointed after the end of my 3 month membership subscription. Overall, I met more people on primetimelove.com so will be going back there.

Retired Kingston lawyer, rants a lot, and old friend Westport businessman, fancies himself an athlete. Both hunt online, date then drug and rape women in 60s, often together, then postattack video online. Drug GHB combined with aphrodisiac, victim seems concious and even enthusiastic but has no idea of events nor can remember anything. Contact OPP Lansdowne and Kingston Police if attack suspected.

DON'T-DON'T DO IT. I SIGNED UP BUT CALLED TO CANCEL ANY RE-UP (TO INSURE NO MORE $ WAS TAKEN). THEY ADMITTED WHEN ASKED THAT MEMBERS' PICS. CURRENTLY ON-LINE MIGHT BE FR. PAST MEMBERS THAT DROPPED OFF-LINE, EXPLAINING WHY NO ONE EVER GETS BACK TO YOU. THEY COULD NOT ONLY BE LONG PAST MEMBERS BUT THEY COULD BE DEAD! "I SEE DEAD PEOPLE" HAS REAL RELEVANCE HERE. ARE THERE ANY LEGIT DATING SITES? DOUBTFUL.

I told them to remove my card info two weeks before the "suspect activity" got worse. It came to a boiling point today when I realized it was sending messages to people I didnt send messages to. I CHANGED MY PASSWORD AND profile information to say "I am going to a real site" and then they charged my card without my authorization for tokens I didnt authorize. I have been forced to freeze my bank card because there is no telling what else they will try.

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in on this. Considering the silver surfer market is generally regarded as the biggest for spending, the dating sites for this demographic are generally poor. I think SeniorPeopleMeet along with maybe just one other (PrimeTimeLove) are the only reliable 'grey dating' websites. Well worth checking out both and they only cost a few bucks a month. No, I'm just kidding! But it is the most entertainment you can get for 15 bucks a month! Scammers everywhere, nut jobs, serial daters looking for a free dinner, phoney profiles and much more! I read these profiles and laugh! Old worn out nurses, and fat school teachers, old divorced women looking for someone to pay off their credit cards, needy women who want to travel the world but have no money. It's a total waste of time, Everything is phoney, you will never meet anyone nice, but it is fun if you don't take it too seriously. It's just for laughs!

This review covers both SeniorPeopleMeet and OurTime, which as I understand it share the same database of users.

My biggest complaint isn't with the service, it's with he low quality of the profiles. I'd like to learn something about a woman before I invest time in getting to know her better. I'd like to focus on women that have interests and viewpoints that overlap mine. I'd like to weed out women that are obviously not compatible. Sadly, the profiles reveal almost nothing of the women. Profile after profile says the same thing: "I like to laugh, I like the outdoors..." Even the easy click-on-an-answer questions are often not answered. Consequently, I have proactively contacted very few women because I know virtually nothing significant about any of them.

Conversely, if you think of a profile as just an icebreaker and you just want to meet lots of women regardless of what they are like, then you probably don't care about this.

As for the site itself, it has at least two ways to get you to interact. The main screen will show two women and you can click on which one you like best, based only on a photo. Second, a link to "Today's Matches" will show you a list and you can click Yes or No.

In either case, a positive click will generate a flirt message to that person, a canned sentence from maybe a dozen or so pre-written sentences. When I first signed up I was getting a lot of these canned flirt messages. I thought it odd that none of these women were writing anything themselves. Then I realized that most or all of them are just clicking on my picture and don't even know they're sending a canned message to me.

On a positive note, the few women I have met have been pleasant and I've enjoyed meeting them.

Worst dating site ever. Second try after two yrs off. Still terrible. Profile has been dumped five times. Reviewers are arbitrary. Profile stayed up 10 days and then someone read something they didnt like and dumped it. Happens constantly. They REFUSE to be specific about what was said so that you can identify it. It dumps the entire profile instead of the section they question.
Match algorhytm gives smokers to non-smokers. Its bogus. Ads pop up constantly. They are really after money. Cant sort views, it doesnt hold more than 200 views. You get an initial flood of viewers from all over the country and then nothing. These are not legit. Customer service is nearly impossible to reach. Auto renewal is their DEFAULT instead of a choice.
Many fake profiles. MANY scammers. Youd think they would go after these instead of what people say in profiles.
Cannot believe this site is still in operation. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

I joined this site to try and meet someone but all I got was less than nothing. They would not accept any of my answers to fill out my profile. They said that what I wrote was unacceptable. Then when I would try to respond to what they sent me as a possible match I never got any replies to my first contact messages. I am not even sure that anybody got my mails at all. They sent me word that this person flirted with me but when I called up that persons file I got blank pages. Or they said that a person sent me a message, again a blank page. I had asked for women close to where I lived, but was getting photos of women from Texas to Maine. One from England. I quit looking at all of these sites they are all a bunch of scammers!

I just realized that every reply from a man has used the same seven words. It's either a setup or a scam. They seem interested via a reply, like, or flirt. Then when I reply, I NEVER heard back from anyone like they never sent it. Usually after this, their photo was removed. Some profiles were lean with few words describing themselves. Hopefully, you will be reading this review/warning before you decide to sign up. Not so sure some members are active as before I signed up, I am sure that I saw a few faces and their photos from 5 plus years ago. I can't imagine that someone would remain on this site for so long or resubscribe a second time. If we think it is a scam or something unusual is going on, then it probably is. Also, they overcharged my credit card as others have mentioned has happened to them. No luck getting that corrected!

I'd rather not give this site any stars. It is not user friendly to find the "block" or "report a concern" icons. I got an offensive message from someone and cannot find out how to block him. The photos are thumbnail size and it's hard to upload more photos. I think my only option with this site is to cancel now and lose the money I paid. If you decide to try it, only buy one month to see if you agree with me.

Very Unhappy with the Site overall, there is nowhere to ask a question. I have encountered at least 6 unscrupulous men from probably Nigeria. Be Aware, many of the men on there are looking to take you to the cleaners. I am sure there are some real people on the site, because I was on there and I am real. It became a job just trying to figure out who was real and who was not. Watch the wording in the messages, If you think no one ever talks that way... You are right.

You will get message from people who have their email and phone numbers readily available on their profile. Some will even have them on their pictures. This website will tell you they critique each profile and picture. That is a load of garbage. You will receive flirts from someone and it will come from the website and not from the person. THEY ARE A JOKE! You will also get messages that are from non-members.

This company, People Media out of Texas is nothing more than a fraudulant bunch if lying thieves. They have "representatives" bombard you with flirts to get you to upgrade to a more expensive plan, then as soon as you do you dont get so much as a hello. And if you lodge a complaint they remove your photo, accussing you of attaching your contact information, knowing full well that no such thing happend. No photo, no contact. THEY ARE THIEVES THROUGH AND THROUGH

I am extremely unhappy with seniorpeoplemeet.com. I have had nothing but trouble with this website and the customer service is terrible. Just finding the phone number to call is a pain and the hours they are available are almost the same as my work hours. I have been unable to get on the website for 3 weeks now in spite of the many attempts to work with the customer service rep. One of them actually hung up on me before I was done and said you can get on now have a nice day. I paid money for a service that i cannot even use. Very frustrating. There are a lot of scammers on this website. Beware. Unhappy still single customer.

Ive always said you should try everything in life and im proud that even in my late fifties I could attempt something as alien as internet dating. And I really enjoy it! And its not just lSeniorPeopleMeet that Im learning to use but also another site called Primetimelove.com. They are both very different in terms of the way the site looks and works, but they have a lot of similarities too. Ive had dinner and high teas with gentlemen on both sites, so I dont think I could pick a winner. In fact the only winner here is me, as I have a life again!
