Reddit is my favorite online community for its diverse range of topics, lively discussions, and sense of community. Whether I'm looking for advice, news, or entertainment, there's a subreddit for it. I appreciate the platform's commitment to free speech and the ability to engage with like-minded individuals from around the world. However, the interface can be overwhelming for newcomers, and moderation can vary between subreddits.

Single white straight men are the most hated men in America if not the world. They make sure to not give us a platform anywhere to be able to vent our frustrations or help guide men to a better life and what to avoid. Only women benefit from marriage, they benefit even more from divorce. Ask yourselves. What do women bring to the table in a modern relationship? They claim it's sexist to suggest them to cook or clean. They only want equal rights if it benefits them. They have zero clue how good they have it and they destroy men's souls daily.

This is completely ridiculous. I get banned for 7 days for sending a text to a verified 27 year old woman. Who I texted and told them after talking back and forth for awhile that she should bring me to work and stick me under the desk. We text a few more minutes, I get off get back on and am banded for sending sexually explicit content to a minor. There are the pictures of her Verified account stating her age.

Quite frankly, Reddit gave me a username I didn't like and you can't change your username either. Normally I would provide more stars but this is a huge security risk.

After however many years of dealing with the far right cesspool that is The Donald, reddit finally said enough.

Despite the fact that the users can still use the site, and that numerous other conservative and right leaning subs exist, the whining children of that sub rushed here to tell everyone how horribly left-leaning the site is because they *eventually* don't truck with open threats and racism.

I'd give fives stars but reddit really should have done it sooner. Still, seeing everyone crying that they don't get to suckle Daddy Trump's button mushroom in full view of the rest of the site has made it worth it.

Probably one star if you hate people who aren't American by birth, or if you didn't know or can't handle the notion that the 1st Amendment applies to the government, not private enterprise.

Reddit used to be an awesome place but it has turned into an echo chamber with little tolerance for people with differing views. You can spend years building up karma and communities just to have them ban your account on some minor issue. If you are a community builder you are honestly just wasting your time on Reddit. You own nothing there and can have everything taken away from you on a whim.

I was posting in a subreddit and inviting others in my post who may be interested to join my kik group which is very similarly themed to this same subreddit. I looked through the subreddit rules and guidelines and found ZERO mention anywhere within this subreddit saying "no promoting". Well within less than a half hour my entire post was removed and I was crudely contacted by an automated bot saying "no promoting kiks or other social media" so I immediately left the group. I understand if you are a group leader and this is your preference/prerogative but CLEARLY and OPENLY state that in your group rules. Don't omit pertinent information to others joining your group and then engage in petty, passive aggressive behavior so you can lord over them.

Then to add insult to injury, as I'm logging out the pic attached is what I see. Seriously? I'm by no means a Trump fan but now we're fantasizing about his hypothetical and abrupt death in open forum to garner ourselves negative comradery? Reddit has seriously become a severely biased political cesspool with no shame, anything goes here. It has one place and that's the trash can. Never again...

Tip for consumers:
Just avoid.

Bans people for things others do daily. But, they have their favorites and certain moderators pick and choose only to enforce the rules on those whose opinions they don't like. People say disgusting things and their accounts and comments are untouched. Don't believe their lies about following the "rules" they twist to cover their personal discrimination.

I joined Reddit many years ago, it was a helpful place, you could get help with all manner of things, now though the majority of it is just pure vile trash, it's run by conspiracy nuts, it's mods are power hungry arseholes, it's not a safe place to be, many of its users are predatory, hating in anything different, they form gangs/cliques and terrorise other members, I have seen it go from a place to get help and hang out with like minded people and discuss things to every second post being conspiracy or hate fueled garbage. If you value you mental health stay away from Reddit, it will suck your will to live and leave you a shell of your former self.

Tip for consumers:
Just stay away at any cost, there are alternatives.

In several groups this has occurred. I wrote a question without any details because they were not necessary, and each post was removed.
Reddit has become a dictator and over saturated with unfunny stupid memes. Yet I can't post simple questions.

After Yahoo Answers ended I thought this would be a place for me to hang out, and honestly I barely use it because it is not the same as Yahoo Answers. The Censorship and rules is on a new level plus the awful memes. When you have regular community members as mods it's a bad thing.
Regular people as mods or group leads has never been a good thing. I've hated mods since 2007. They are reckless and will censor people if they state something that triggers them. They are weak.

Reddit is good for read only but to post, it's not ness anymore.

Tip for consumers:
Better off deleting reddit account and just read only.

Discussion board but I never discussed anything.

Got banned for promoting child porn which is completely outrageous! I'm 4ft11in and 72lbs but 29 years old ffs! Just because I'm tiny and Asian that was considered child porn... I'm never been so insulted in all my life. It's 100% racism, that's all I can think it is... of course there is no one to reply to my emails to them!

Its just impossible to believe this happened to me, I have linked a picture to prove it.

My original Reddit profile was HelMort. It was quite old, beloved by followers, and significant for the community, but it got banned. Why? As always, moderators decided to ban me and others, condemning me forever over a simple question of abuse of authority.

I commented on a video, suggesting that the people in it should face consequences from the police to learn a lesson. These young guys happened to be African American, so my comment was deemed racist. In the video, a group of young people looted an Apple store. When Apple blocked their devices, they reacted by laughing, throwing them on the floor, kicking them, spitting on them, urinating on them, and spitting up some juice. Below the video, there were thousands of comments from people totally disappointed, and many like me got banned forever. We expressed extreme disgust for people who steal in the face of others who work hard to obtain a technological device, not because they were African Americans. I'm not racist at all. I believe that regardless of a person's skin color, everyone is just like me – another person deserving respect only for doing good and bad things.

After many years on Reddit, I can say with 100% certainty that there's a significant problem with moderators. Mods abuse their powers and have specific political views, personally attacking and banning people for their amusement. If you attempt to make a post about transgender people, American minorities, or LGBT individuals, you'll get a guaranteed ban. Even using "female" instead of "woman" will get you banned. If mods don't like the color of your cat in your shared pic, you'll be banned. It's totally random.

If you don't believe me, try posting something similar yourself, including positive content, and you'll get a 100% guaranteed ban and post removed after seconds in many subs. Alternatively, check the most famous posts about any topic to see thousands of deleted comments and banned users. In the first months of Reddit, long ago, this platform was about free speech. But the truth is that it's not. Every time you try to write, for example, in "asks" or post in other subreddits dedicated to dialogues, your posts always get closed. In 70% of the cases where you get a ban, you don't even know why. Trying to reach the mods for help or to understand why you were banned is a 100% sure ban from the entire platform because you can't protest.

Another important thing to consider is that mods are clearly leftists and don't permit any posts about right politics like Republicans, etc. The funny part is that I'm a leftist and European, but I find all of this disgusting because not allowing the other side to talk is an attack on democracy. I believe in political free speech. What's happening on Reddit about politics is not okay, and it's extremely dangerous. Reddit can be very dangerous for the next presidential American elections because it risks politically indoctrinating people only to one side.

We must also consider the dark side of Reddit. In over three years on Reddit, I've received daily private messages from scammers of all kinds, messages from sexual perverts asking disgusting stuff, and comments that are 99% toxic, aggressive, and violent reactions to questions like "What food can I choose for my dog?" with responses like "I don't give a f. About your dog." If you're happy about a movie, people write stuff like "I hate enthusiasm, you should die." Not to mention the constant abuse of downvotes, where people downvote whatever you write or share that isn't a dumb viral video. I even tried to share my art and give a chance to the artists to be for free in my art gallery in London to help them with their career, but thousands of artists downvoted and attacked me in the comments, so if you have a business, don't try to invest on Reddit because users do all their best to ruin it. It's basically impossible to get attention unless you share some hentai anime characters; 90% of Reddit is pure porn. Porn subs are everywhere.

In a nutshell, Reddit is the most disgusting social platform I've ever experienced. It's like a cult where a few people think like a hive mind, writing as if they're the same person, excluding whatever is considered dangerous enough to question their feudal lifestyle and creepy Soviet mindset. Reddit is the top of the worst.

Obviously, there are some good people around, and some subreddits are born with good intentions, but they're a minority and usually get closed, and these people leave. Reddit is the most toxic social platform currently present on the play store.

I tried to contact Reddit help many times for my issues, but they never answered.

I thought Reddit would be a warm and friendly social platform, sadly I was very much mistaken. I wrote a comment about a pop group and how I didn't approve of some of their songs. The reply I recieved was from someone who obviously shows no consideration for others and quite frankly their remarks were hostile and bad mannered as well as hurtful. I wrote back in the style of Jane Austen. Reddit is the worst social platform I have encountered, I decided to delete my account and glad I did.

There is no room for sarcasm or cynicism, let alone honest criticism of controversial issues on this so called discussion platform…questioning any subreddits particular status quo got me promptly banned from it without any warning…when I questioned the decision of the moderators Reddit banned me permanently for "harassing moderators"… this must be the absolute worst social media platform for meaningful discussion of ideas and opinions!

Tip for consumers:
Just stick to mindless banter, meaning discussion of controversial topics is not appreciated.

It doesn't take much for a subreddit to get banned. Your thoughts must align with the majority/moderators.

It's common and expected for people and businesses to buy upvotes. Traffic manipulation is a normal thing on Reddit.

One of the worst websites for true public discourse.

Extreme censorship throughout the site. The views shared on the site ostensibly by the whole viewing community, are actually heavily censored in favor of the site staff and janitor (moderator)'s opinions. Opinions that do not fit through the keyhole of both these heavily biased persons, and vague, arbitrarily-enforced per-community rules, are removed, and users may even be permanently banned for sharing their opinions. A VPN and using non-identifiable personal data during signup is strongly recommended for posting to this untrustworthy site.

Reddit is probably the worst website possible to vote fairly on other people's comments as I experienced. As soon as you vote fairly, you get slapped with a sudden suspension for it to last three days in response to fall under their category of supposedly in me engaging in "vote manipulation?" Which I didn't do any of the sort or whatsoever.

Which brings me to the end conclusion of? I just can't anymore now. #Dead

Although its fiendishly hard to avoid...but on REDDIT there's no avoiding the abuse no matter how skilled I am. Its enough for me trying there after 5 times to get a foothold and some 6 or 7active people following. The idea is to shun people and invisiblize people because well...those at REDDIT think its healthy to smack us up and put us in our place, to make the "good" ones seem "better". Third grade trick. REALLY. No appeals. And no corporate attorney to turn to. REDDIT is a fascist abuse-welcoming dump and useless for any meaningful social or political policy movement in my country or even helping people personally. Its a rubber stamp for the inhumane "system" we are all slaves of while always parading as a free speech rag. I can blow my nose in it the rest of my life and still not be clean. The words I need to use on them I cannot utter. But it reminds me of amer***Ka in general...all holy smarmy phony values until u try to LIVE them. SHAME ON ANYONE INVOLVED in their "policy". I never attacked anyone or offended anyone's sensitive eyes or acted out of control. But I get what repression is. NO REASON or its not really repression. SHAME ON REDDIT FOREVER, I have hereby "responded-it" for once. Should set a MAJOR trend! And I know you all have way better things to do, like being REAL (without getting punished for it) so u can get stuff done. Godspeed. Its offline as well, hint hint...

Honestly speaking, Reddit have a lot of weird subs than a decent one that will make you wish you hadn't know it exist, but if you spend some time to find the right subreddit for your need, you'll have a great time a head of you, I meet some of the nicest, smart, funny and wise friend on the sub I'm active in. The mods can make you frustrate sometimes with their strict rules, but any other than it was a nice place to read stuff after you done working and want to talk about something.

Got banned permanently from the site for "breaking the rules", yet they don't tell me which rules I've broken.
According to them I also have multiple accounts, I didn't know 1 was multiple not sure if it's a mistake or they are claiming that I have multiple accounts which I don't.
I can't even look up my posts to check if anything was worthy of a ban because it just says "This account has been suspended" very cool reddit.

PS: I did have another account before this was like 3 years ago during a period where I was suicidal and decided to delete my account, though I've never posted anything that would break the rules there either.

Tip for consumers:
Just don't post anything and maybe you won't get banned is my best guess.
