I purchased electronic Whole Foods gift cards months ago. I tried using them recently, but Whole Foods won't accept them because the gift cards do not come with pin numbers. Because I purchased the e-gift cards from Raise longer than 100 days ago, they won't reimburse me. They won't even give me credit for the money I'm losing out on. How is it that they can get away with this? What does one need to do to get justice?

Caveat Emptor "Let the buyer beware", sounds like a sucky thing to say but that's the way the world works. Raise has a 100 day money back guarantee, you need to use the card at least the first time before that elapses. I have had problems with a couple cards that worked initially and then didn't work; on both occasions they were within the 100-day period so I was given a prompt refund. I use raised regularly (1-2 cards a month) but I only buy the cards right before I need them and I use them within a month or two so there's never an issue.

I doubt there's any scam or anything shady going on, it's just that people have to be aware when they purchase something what the rules are and how to protect themselves. Stay within their 100 day window and there's nothing to worry about.

Same thing happened to me!! I am sorry! We lost 600 dollars because of bad gift cards. The stores asked where we got the giftcard from, once they heard this from raise, they said they cannot help me at all. Stay away from them. It's really not with your time and energy to go through all these troubles. U will be panic and angry like me when u found out the gift cards no longer has any money in it without u using it at All and 100 flies away. Raise won't even try to resolve the problem at all and said its pass 100 days They won't bother and u are screwed I am sorry but nothing I can do kinda thing. I seriously thing they are part of the scammer business now.

Jennie H...Raise.com is NOT "scamming people with fake gift cards". You should be ashamed for posting such a libelous statement. I have purchased both physical cards and egift cards from the site covering different companies and have had no problems. I've invited my friends and family to get in on the savings as well. They haven't had any problems either. The one time I had a slight issue, I called them and it was immediately taken care of and the rep was very personable and professional. I highly recommend raise.com to anyone looking to save some money.

I did get a refund from raise but refuse the charges with your credit card company they should back you because it is fraud, Raise is a terrible company, they do not have their act together at all, a competitor who knows what they are doing should go in and dominate, it is a great idea, messed up company, stay away

If you purchased your gift card with a credit card you can initiate a chargeback with your credit card company. Tell them you paid for a voucher/gift card of a certain value and you did not get what was promised to you.

If you dispute a credit card with Raise, they will freeze your accounts, not let you access them, and not let you buy gift cards.

To Jennie H .... Seriously???? How dare we?? Just wait until your standing at the register with your brand new card that is being denied by the cashier because your $235 balance mysteriously disappeared overnight. What a horrible experience. I bought a $300 electronic card on Wednesday and Spent $65 the same day I bought it. My remaining balance on the receipt was accurate when I left the store. I went back to the store the very next night, shopped for hours picking out what I wanted & got my horrifying surprise at the register. The manager tried scanning it in. I was panicking. They called Raise from the store using the number on my print out. Now, I was obviously within the first 100 days, do Raise said they are reimbursing me what I paid for the card minus what I spent the 1st day. This just happened, so I can't confirm that I'm getting reimbursed. Hopefully I will, but WHAT HAPPENED???? Was it a stolen card? Did the previous owner buy a bunch of stuff even though the card was sold? It's risky to buy these cards. If you're buying one, buy small amounts, confirm your amount before you use it, & spend it all in one shopping trip. Otherwise your money may vanish into thin air.

Try this because it happened to me. This is my solution. I used American Express to buy Famous Dave's but the manager @ Famous Dave's told me it has zero balance. I keep calling Raise either no answer, hold the line for hour etc. And then I get upset so I decided to call American express and they file an case. I got my money back.

THE BEST THING TO DO IS FILE A DISPUTE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY. CALL THE PHONE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF THE CARD. THEY WILL CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT FOR THE AMOUNT OF THE DISPUTE AND SEND RAISE.COM A LETTER OF THE CHARGE BACK. THEY WILL MAY RAISE.COM PROVE THAT THE CARDS WERE GOOD AND USED BY YOU. I CURRENTLY HAVE A $300 DISPUTE FILED WITH VISA AND IT LOOKS LIKE RAISE.CO HAS NO RESPONSE TO PROVE THEY WERE GOOD CARDS.

I simply did not receive the KFC gift card I ordered. When I called about it, though, I was promptly credited for my purchase.

I think Raise specifies whether you could use the cards online only or in the store. Your card was probably online only card. I would assume you could use it to purchase goods online on wholefoods.com.

https://wholefoods.buyatab.com/custom/wholefoods/ Here's where to check gift card & voucher balances. Always do this immediately after purchasing ANY e voucher to confirm the balance. In this situation call Raise-ask them why your vouchers didn't come with a pin # to make them valid. Keep calling until you get satisfaction. Pro tip! Don't wait on hold- leave your number on there automated service and when it's your turn they will call you back. Often it's 30-45 min later....but at least you're not on a hold hostage all that time. Get the name of who you speak to & ask them to escalate this to a supervisor if needed. Good luck!

They have always made things right when I had an issue. Definitely the most responsive and professional discount card sites. Gift card Zen is good too.

I only buy Starbucks cards from them but have been thrilled with the site and saved literally hundreds of dollars. When I buy the Starbucks card they send me the card number and other number (password or pin or whatever) and I just keep adding those numbers to my original card I bought from Starbucks before I discovered this amazing site. Maybe you could do the same, but a WF card for a small amount then add this on? The previous answer was good, to ask in store. But certainly based on my experience this is most definitely no scam site!

I have received three positive refunds for issues I've had. I always check the values of the cards I get immediately. Also, I always check my remaining balance after I make a purchase..Keep after them, they seem to be committed to customer service..Good luck..

Ask the store manager to help. You may have to use it ONLINE and pick up items in the store. I stay away from electronic cards most of the time. I've also been a RAISE user for years and have bought literally many thousands of dollars from them and have always been very happy. Their 100 day guarantee is best in the resale world.
Don't hesitate to CALL corporate at Whole Foods.
Good luck.

I have had that happen but I have emailed them and called them and have gotten satisfactory service. They will refund you if it is longer than 100 days since your purchase--it just goes through another process and you will get your refund in a short period of time. I would suggest calling them, not just emailing them. They can't control people who "sell" the gift card to you, and then call the company to claim it stolen, so it voids yours. However, Raise does reimburse you. They check out the situation and then deal with those who are trying to scam. I have saved over $400 by purchasing through Raise and I will keep doing so.

I'm not sure but I am still trying to get my money refunded from them. I even reported them to BBB and still not being resolved. This company is scamming people with fake gift cards and it just makes me so mad that they would do this to people. There has to be a way to put a stop to this. I'm really sorry that this happen to you too :(
