DO NOT USE PARTS EXPRESS! Need to order a $3 capacitor and they want to charge me $11 shipping. Fundamentally that is just raking over the consumer for something that they can't negotiate.

DO NOT USE PARTS EXPRESS! Need to order a $3 capacitor and they want to charge me $11 shipping. Fundamentally that is just raking over the consumer for something that they can't negotiate.

Tip for consumers:
The company makes more on their shipping than they do on their parts total rip off

THEY ARE JUST BULL$#*! ARTISTS I TRIED TO BUY A QUANTITY OF DUAL INPU T SPEAKER BINDING POSTS. THEY WANTED $6.99 each. I BOUGHT IT FROM ANOTHER ELECTRICAL PARTS PLACE FOR $ 2.93 EACH! THIS IS SIMPLY HIGHWAY ROBBERY. JUST LOOK AT THEIR OTHER REVIEWS & SEE FOR YOURSELVES.

Stay away! I placed an order for speaker fabric. The invoice I got in email had the wrong address. I called immediately and was assured it would be corrected. It clearly was not when the package was shipped to the wrong address. I called again after delivery and was told that the shipping address could not have been changed per policy and whoever told me that was wrong. They said if the package was found I could have it sent to a shipping hub, no where near where I lived, or they would wait to see if it was returned to them. In the meantime I would not get my money back. These folks are scammers! The operator hung up on me when I told her I would report them to PayPal.

They sold us computer speakers without power adapters! It's been over a week and they still did not send me an RMA and do not want to send me a return label and told me that I need to pay for the return shipping.

This company is a joke. Do not buy from them.

Charged me $ 5.95 for shipping to Penna, 6 hrs from their Ohio location, expecting USPS first class, they ship it UPS mail innovations that cost them much less than $5.95 because it sucks so bad. Here it is 1 week later still no package and multiple emails to customer service have been ignored. Horrible will never buy from them again and this package will be refused and returned if it ever arrives.

I purchased a pair of speakers that were restock speakers. The website said they had them in stock, but then a few days later I got an email saying they canceled my order because they were out of stock, and that I could order a new pair at a higher price. The old bait and switch, what a diss honest company and I will never do business with them again.

I ordered a kit from the website over two weeks ago. The website and a sales representative ensured me that my order would be guarnteed shipped withing 3 to 10 business days. As I am a college student I have a limited amount of time left in school to receive and build the speaker kit. It is now over 10 business days and costumer service told me the shipment still has time to ship. I am disappointed with how they advertise their shipping. My time line is shortening fast and I have yet to receive the expensive speaker kit that I ordered. I recommend buying from somewhere else not Parts Express where they offer more reliable shipping and better answers than just "sorry". Very disappointed as this kit is not cheap for me as a student and I saved up for it and am now running out of time to build it.

There are things I really like about Parts Express. However it appears to me they are scammers when it comes to product reviews. They have products on their site that have 100% positive reviews only because they delete all others. I know this first hand. I have seen my critical reviews of inferior product removed inside of 5 minutes.

I have the mk-402x speakers for the price and size there great and also thedta-120bt2 amp which is also great and thats coming from someone who had altec a7s and jbl 4311s

DIY Speaker Friends: Do yourself a favor, and boycott Parts Express. Get your speaker parts anywhere else, anyone else would be better, believe me! They do NOT honor their word, they do NOT respect their customers, and nothing there is as it appears on their website and their 'friendly' videos. I bought from China with FAR LESS problems than ordering 2 tiny 3 inch speakers from Parts Express, same day shipping my $#*!! They kept my order on hold for nearly ONE AND A HALF MONTHS! And they will do NOTHING to compensate you for your trouble. NOTHING, not unless you badger and badger and email and email... and then - other sites would offer you FULL REFUND if they did such a thing to you. Not the Almighty Parts Express, no no. They are too good to ever do that for you. They - the ALMIGHTY AMERICAN CORPORATION. You - nobody. BOYCOTT PARTS EXPRESS DO NOT EVER BUY FROM PARTS EXPRESS AND TELL EVERY OF YOUR DIY BUDDIES TO AVOID ANY DEALING WITH PARTS EXPRESS!

Follow Up: 24th March I have been promised compensation and free delivery from the President Himself, but to date there is no follow up, no more news, and I bet this might as well be the 24th of April, or June, and I will still be writing the same words. Perhaps I am not American. Perhaps they only care 'for their own'. I don't know, and I don't care for FARTS Sexpre$$.

For the most part, Parts Express does a great job on inventory, and has many items that are otherwise difficult to find. I have never had an issue with items in my few orders with them. Pricing is about average, although they do sometimes have fantastic clearance deals that are not to be missed. The only downfall is shipping cost--when ordering something very small, shipping is disproportionately expensive, so I find it easier to buy locally.

The parts-express.com website ordering system pulls a bait-and-switch on shipping rates. My $50+ order for two lightweight items offered slow-boat shipping for about $5. I chose that option and it was calculated into the price throughout the order process UNTIL THE FINAL MOMENT OF ORDERING, after I had entered credit card info. Then the rate magically jumped to $21.00+ with NO means to alter the shipping option. It wasn't a glitch. Using two different computers and three different web browsers I got the same result every time I tried the same order.

They're trying to pad their profit on fraudulent shipping charges. It's anyone's guess how many customers pressed that final ORDER button without realizing their shipping cost had jumped by 4X.

Multiply that by thousands of orders and they're stealing tens of thousands of dollars. This is genuine fraud. Intentional deception with falsehood for gain.

I'm reporting this company to the BBB and to anyone else I can think of. Outrageous behavior.

I ordered a couple of tweeters for my Blue Sky Audio Sat 6.5's and was very impressed with the entire process.
They sent me a catalog and even a handy little electronics tool! Everything was packaged very nicely and I will be ordering from them again.

I have been ordering for some time from PartsExpress. Their customer service is the BEST I have seen. They may not have the super expensive brands some people seek but what they sell has the quality and sound of much more expensive equipment, No hassle returns is a plus. Their prices are well below any competitors. What esle is there to say? Give them a try. Youl'll fall in love with them!

In conjunction with my last post. I would like to give Parts Express my highest recommendation. These are folks I now use for ordering audio, video, and computer accessories. Also, I got an informative and pleasant note included with the invoice. Also, they sent a small screwdriver (I call them craftsman screwdrivers) for use on screws like you would remove on a calculator, etc. that has very small screws. I used them regularly on machines I used to set up and operate, before I retired. I used them daily on fine adjustments for optical sensors (we called them "electric eyes" when I was still working). Also, their prices are more than fair. And for the most part, even better than fair. They have bulk and clearance specials that I have made purchases of. Example: They had "10 Piece Screwdriver Bit Sets" on special or clearance (not sure). At 75 cents per set, I ordered 10 sets with my 1st order. I'm a jack of all trades. And even though I try to keep my tools in order. It never fails, I lose a screwdriver bit here and there. These sets included square and torque style bits. I have given up on Flathead and Philips Head screws almost completely. Now when doing a project I use square or torque head screws... Anyway, needless to say, I'm completely satisfied with Parts Express. And I have ordered twice so far. Results: Outstanding!

I love this site I have bought so much from them and always look to them first for my electronic parts needs.

From my Titanic MKIII 15" subwoofer kit which keeps up easily with $5000 in Klipsch speakers in my home theater, to dirt cheap HDMI cables, I love parts-express.com.

There parts reasonably priced and they carry a very wide selection. As an amateur speaker builder I am always able to find what I need.

Beyond all that their service is top notch. Both pre and post sales. When I originally bought my subwoofer kit, I assembled it and set it up. My brother came over and while I was showing it off it made a pop and started to rattle. Needless to say something was wrong with the speaker and I just got it. As it was a kit and I assembled it, I feared the way I would be treated when I called. I was so wrong. First they were very clearly American, and were very caring about the whole thing bending over backwards to please me. They immediately shipped express a replacement subwoofer, with a return shipping label so that I could return the defective speaker to them once I receive the new one.

I always look to these guys to fulfill my electronics parts needs. RadioShack no longer exists to me (always cracks me up when RadioShack says I can order it in for you).

Have been a Parts Express customer since the 1980's. At one time, I could order early one day and have the merchandise the next day via UPS. Things have certainly changed. Their offer of "free shipping" for a minimum order (currently $49) does not include the disclaimer "we let your box sit until we get around to actually shipping it. On my most recent order entered on a Friday morning, I got a receipt and USPS tracking number that day. The package didn't start moving until Tuesday of the following week. Similar delay experiences on two previous orders. I suppose it's their way of pushing you to pay for shipping anyway which, I'm sure, improves their bottom line. 5-6 days Springboro to Akron is ridiculous when most of it is spent on their loading dock.
