OurFamilyWizard (OFW) Headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, does not provide a way for you to delete your data and protect you and your families privacy.

After I reviewed OFW's policies and procedures on their website, I emailed their support directly as I have done in the past for other companies, to request them to delete my account and the data within. I informed them that I do not have any pending legal reason that they would need to hold onto the data and offered to sign a legal affidavit stating such as well. They refused to comply with my request. Didn't ask to verify my identity, or anything of reasonable path of confirming my identity either.

Also, their tool does not offer Multifactor Authentication, Passwordless auth tokens, or SMS push, email push tokens, etc to validate your account. This is a big problem if your coparent is allowing other people to sign in as them and send you responses (Which happened to me.). My coparent's account had 4x the number of usual logins.

As an individual that works in the cyber world; a company that won't comply with a deletion request that doesn't have a legal reason to resist is very alarming and concerning for me.

If you live in a state that provides data deletion protections, you may need to seek legal assistance and take them to court.

Very poor usability. Very expensive. Search function hardly works. Full of useless features that don't add any value. Stay away.

Fantastic app, has all the features you need in one place, messaging, calendar, document section.

Ex was constantly trying to confuse and overcomplicate communication but using multiple platforms i. E. texts, whatsapp, email. This pulls it together into one place, he cannot hide from the mistakes he keeps making now. Whilst it doesn't stop an abusive ex from saying un true and nasty things (why do people think an app would change their ex's personality?), it does log it nicely so that my lawyers can see everything and should anything go to court, it will be easy to prove.

The top critical review just about said it all, as have some others. If you feel you need to spend money to receive abusive rants with someone who wants to formalize verbal abuse here, by all means, sign up! Guess what, the court doesn't care unless your ex is threatening overt harm. If things are really dire/high conflict, but your kids are basically ok outside the strain caused by toxic adult communication, it's a parallel parenting plan you need, not OFW.

The judge made us use this due to my x keeps harassing and lying. Well now I get to be tormented with this app and no one cares or sees it. The judge never looks at it or the gal or court house. My x can change your holidays to make it look like their own and call the cops to say you took their day. It's just another way for the courts and this app to make money.

I ended up getting this to try and help my situation, her father never signed up and court has been being pushed back further and further so I called and because it's past 30 days they will not refund not a penny of me paying over $200! For TWO YEARS! These people are heartless! Horrible the app doesn't even work when u try and make a schedule! HORRIBLE DONT BOTHER

This app due to a court order enforces victims of abusive relationships to have to continue in the abusive relationship. The abuser is allowed to say whatever he wants and the victim has to read it due to a court order. The app does have a "tone" meter which is bars that turn red when the sender writes something mean, but it still allows the message to go thru. In my experience this app is not acceptable for co parenting if the couple was in an abusive relationship to begin with.

If you want to endure a year of your ex planting messages in here to make stuff look the way they want it...then go ahead sign up for this.

No one is going to look at it...original messages and replies aren't automatically sent in extracts, you have to check the box for replies or select the reply...so gaslighters can cherry pick messages to forward to the court/their attorney so you can spend $250/hr to send to your attorney so they can send to their attorney and the court to clear up the garbage.

Constant glitching, freezing and error messages, very slow. Even though my iPhone is new and everything else works great on it except of OFW (oh, friggin worst).

This App is useful for communication with an abusive personality type when you are required by court order to "co-parent" with someone that abuses you and your children. It is especially useful if the other parent uses coercive control, gas-lighting and psychological rather than physical abuse as the primary tools in their abuser tool kit. At first our abuser was really enthusiastic about using this App as he saw it as another platform to manipulate and there is nothing he loves more than to have a new venue in which to abuse. Now that he has come to see that OFW can't be manipulated and everything is recorded he no longer cares for it. He really cut back on the number of abusive, denigrating and accusatory messages that he sends me. The problem of adult survivors and their children being forced to maintain a relationship and communication with their abuser is rooted in a broken Family Court/Uneducated or Corrupt Judges problem. Other reviewers have a valid point that OFW financially benefits from the lucrative, niche divorce industry but it didn't create the industry. Family Court and our government system is the chicken and OFW is the egg. Our abuser now rants to our kids how much he hates OFW, he reads our messages to them out-loud and tells them it's all your Mother's fault for bad communication but he has blamed and denigrated me to the children for anything and everything for going on 2 decades so nothing new there. The judge tells him to stop involving the children but does absolutely nothing about it when he admits what he does, the children tell the judge he involves them and I repeatedly provide proof that he still puts them in the middle. The family court system is broken in California. Survivors should not be forced to communicate with our abuser. We should be allowed to "just leave" as everyone tells us to do and praises us for. No one seems to know about post separation abuse and how abuser's use the family court system to weaponize the children.

The smarmy, dissembling customer service representatives responding to the criticisms on this website (and failing to handle the complaints of this company's customers) should be embarrassed and seek out worthwhile employment.

From stealing my money and applying it to some stranger's account then claiming to be unable to find the transaction, to canceling my paid-up account (on which I made a SECOND payment to stay current), to the obviously false marketing-department fantasies they parade on manipulable review sites, to their extortionate business model, this is nothing but a bunch of crooks feeding off struggling and broken families. No one working for this company has the capacity to feel appropriate shame or moral opprobrium, or they wouldn't be working there.

The idea behind this website is idiotic on its face. It saves your e-mails for you. You know what else saves your e-mails for you? YOUR E-MAIL SERVICE. All of the site's other features are of course also garbage in comparison to freely available versions.

If you and your ex can cooperate, just do so. If you can't, and you think an app will help, you're the crazy one.

I am pretty upset with the communication with this company. I've reached out multiple times and about a month later got a response which was not helpful at all. My coparent requested through court to use OFW as a form of communication and once I signed up, she refused to use it. So I spent a little over $200 for nothing, and I explained my situation multiple times to this company, asking for a refund and all the responded with was that I was past the 30 day refund policy.

This is a garbage app that costs WAY more than it should. Their "full suite of tools" costs more to use than the base $99/year for each participant. So for $200/year you basically get a text app. You can link your lawyer to your account, but they do not actively review your communication.
Customer service is abhorrent. I've had an easier time explaining math to my 1st and 3rd grader.
Courts should not be allowed to force you to use this app.

First off I can't help to think that judges in a bunch of lawyers got together and made this app knowing that it's going to be court ordered and you cannot refuse it because if you do you will be out in contempt, I had to purchase it because I had children's to more than 1 mother who both like to team up on me and have the same lawyer and try to get me in trouble and try to take my kids away they haven't found a way to do it yet. So now I'm paying over $200 and change for this app, I don't even know what it does that only lets you have one babies mom wife or ex-wife or girlfriend or ex-girlfriend because trying to have two different accounts in log back-and-forth. Now on the other hand here's the thing when people are trying to take your kids away from you Just because they're butt hurt that we're not together or I have physical custody I'm good to my kids and I pay for them and I don't make any mistakes so to take my kids they have to falsely engineer mistakes like I'm abusive or blah blah blah I am very passive as far as bother them. They try to start with me daily and my end is me all day long my phone's usually quiet I don't say anything I'll let it go for $#*!ing decades but then they start to lie and try to take my children away stating a lie may he be on drugs for whatever it is you know the same old same old. So even though these women do not want to be on it either they hate me so much that they have to pay for this subscription, 2 women who absolutely hated each other because of how the others treated the other kids mind you and that's why we're not together because I won't let anybody treat my kids like $#*! they absolutely hate each other and each other's kids and they teamed up and sold them selves the devil. Goes to show there's no truth no morals and the judge and the lawyers that made this OFW getting rich off our back because these women and men let that system have too much power. But this app is really for those lying crybaby's who start $#*! and can't listen to the truth when you finally stick it out there.

I was a victim of domestic violence and narcissistic abuse, that extended into post-separation legal abuse. Our divorce lasted over five years from this… it gave me plenty of time to research and go to therapy, where this became suggested to me (not by my attorney, who turned a sick profit from my misfortune). I wouldn't say the tone filter is worth it, but documenting the messages and showing restraint in what you are willing to actually entertain does when dealing with verbal abuse. The program cannot make your ex go to therapy, or into a better version of their self any more than you could do while together, feel me? I volunteered to pay my ex's subscription fee, and made sure our order stated that all communication that isn't an emergency is done through it. The calendar has a bit of a learning curve at first, but after that it's pretty easy to set it up, and the OFW pay is hands-down the best part of it. Do I upload reciepts for copays of $0.67 even? Yes. Yes I do. Every single one now. I'm sure my ex would write a one star review against this, just because of the accountability involved. (When) My ex pays their half of stuff, they do multiple items at once to avoid the extra fees, but it's an easy way to show documentation on both ends of things. The only one who could complain on that, is someone who doesn't want to do the right thing. The messages still come at me full of word-salad, deflection, projection, lies, and complete disrespect… and if it's not conductive coparenting, I don't mess with it. Let them explain it to a judge later if it gets too bad. It's within your parental rights that you aren't spoken about or to in a derogatory way. You are paying for admissibility in court. If that upsets you enough to leave a bad review, maybe you're mad you can't speak to your ex any old way anymore. If it doesn't help your child, don't do it. This helps organize everything though. Messages, expenses, calendar, regular providers, medications, and even details about your child in case if the worst of the worst happens and they are abducted (I'm which case if the other parent didn't do it, I would HOPE you work together to be sure they're found and safe!). Anyways, seeing all the bad reviews, I wanted to keep it real with y'all. This has been the best investment ever, and I wouldn't trade it for a second. Messages in ONE PLACE, no calls, texts, emails, hijacking teacher email threads to harass, social medias, whatever else… the order says it's HERE and here, can be submitted as evidence. That peace is worth anything, and takes up server space, especially for their highly secure servers.

Our Family Wizard has horrible reviews for a reason. The app doesn't work on newer model devices. Our Family Wizard corporate deleted my account by accident and it caused me to lose my domestic violence case against my abusive ex.

Beware! The information you put on OFW that you don't make private is not confidential! This includes the medical tab where you upload info on your children's medical information. I contacted customer service tonight for a different questions and was told that ANYTHING uploaded that you don't make private, is the same as uploading to Facebook for all your friends to see. Just keep in mind when you're using the site!

This does not give you the option to report verbally abusive messages to the court. I think this app is probably great for parents on speaking terms, but when one is cruel, it's basically useless. It's been a few years now, and I'm still being harassed and treated like garbage, and this site is helping him do it. This is supposed to be for correspondence about the children only, and OurFamilyWizard needs to take steps to ensure it's being used properly and responsibly.

Tried this app, was a nuisance. Using texting and email was far easier and could do off my hands free. This app forced me to pull over continually log in, select the messaging program and message. Further the messaging interface is inferior to apple texting or android. You can not take pics out of the app and it is confusing the way the threads are set up.
Big pass unless you want to further complicate your life.

Complete scam. Made by attorneys and enforced by courts to pocket even more money from struggling parents. Nothing on the app that can't be done on a regular phone.

The expense tab is worthless. If you enter a valid expense, the other parent can reject it and the expense is removed from what they owe. Or the other parent can mark that they paid it when they did not, and the expense is removed from their total due.
I have requested a report that shows the total expenses no matter what the other parent does on their end and for the report to show how the other parent marked the expense.
Our Family Wizard customer service does not respond to any emails and when you call, they are rude and do not listen to what the request is about.

They need to have monthy plans. I have three months left before my child turns 18 and i had to pay 119$ to write 1 message.

Court ordered app but when trying to set up payments they had my information wrong 3 times. Then I had to pay for their mistakes. Cant view times on calendar unless you go to browser. Rip off! Horrible customer service! App not worth a penny.
