I would recommend that you do not do business with this moving company. I contacted North Van Lines about a move from NY to CA. They provided me with a quote of $14,890 after I spent 30-45 minutes sharing the details of ALL the belongings in my home. There were not surprises, they had a list of 146 items outside of what could be put into a box. When the movers showed up they said that the final cost would be $30,000, over 100% more than the quote. They required a $3,700 deposit and refused to refund the deposit after they so grossly under estimated on the quote. The team of people including management: William, Mimi, Luz are some of the most unprofessional people that I have engaged with in business. I can't say enough about how unethical they are... I would strongly recommend that you do business with someone else.

Aside from the fact that they came on-time, were very courteous, and took great care of both furniture and structures, I have never seen anyone work so hard on my money. I paid for a full pack and was surprised what i got for my money. North van lines were great movers. I will never go anywhere else and so should you. And I felt comfortable since the first call was made. Thanks again.

It's a horrible position in which to find yourself when they got your household goods on their truck and in storage and are holding them hostage. North Van Lines are greedy. Whenever I called to inquire about anything, they were very rude and not very helpful. If you have a dispute with them about payment, they claim that delivering your things from storage will take a minimum of 21 days with no guarantees. This is very unprofessional, as it might very well take one or two months to get your stuff out. If you hire them for packing, they tend to change their prices on you at the last minute. When I first got a quote for packing it came to $2400, but by the time it was already done the total was over $4000. The salesperson who helped us at first was Cheryl, but they switched change their names every time you call, also a rude woman named Luz who was not helpful at all! Tracey that made sure you understand that payment will have to be via cash, or they won't be able to deliver your things. The price we negotiated was for 40 boxes since we moved during Covid, and we didn't need any more than that. But when they showed up with a mix of large and small boxes, they told us they couldn't carry any heavy things in the large boxes. When I tried to ask them to, they told me I couldn't argue because it was moving day. The movers were also very rude and threatened to leave our things on the street if we didn't let them handle it as they wanted to. The packers were terrible too, only packing the boxes half full (photos attached in this review or on google). We had a lot of wall hangings that they packed in more boxes than they needed to so they could overcharge us. This is something they'll do to bump up the overall cost. Also be aware that in the small print they say that if the elevator is more than 75 feet away from the truck upon delivery, it will cost you another $1000. It's clear that this is a scam from the very first time you call them, and they are great scammers, just terrible movers.

I was contacted by North Van Lines to assist with my move. I'm not quite sure how they got my information but we ended up with a quote that I was satisfied with. Customer service was great. The salesman, Marion was available every time I reached out. He told me that the movers would disassemble my larger furniture and reassemble them when it got to my final destination which was the first lie! The second lie was the number of boxes that he documented. I was surprised when the man said i didn't have any extra large boxes on the list which costed more! Some of my items weren't even on the list that we discussed like my rug! What I despised the most is the way they cared for my property. I caught the morning movers standing on top of my treadmill tray to secure my property to the truck. My furniture was delivered on time; however, the majority of my property was destroyed! My bookcase, TV stand, my treadmill, deep freezer, and the stand to my full length mirror were broken! My boxes were wet and soggy and my contents was falling out. Two boxes were missing! The drop off deliverers had the audacity to ask me if two items that was left on the truck were mine! My quote of $1,800 went to $2,500 the day of the move! The movers failed to pay any attention to 'fragile' that I wrote in big red letters. They failed to pay attention to the arrows I put on my boxes. The workers did not understand the English language well therefore could not understand anything I said or asked! As I complained about my broken items, the movers kept telling me that I have insurance!. 60 per pound? Disgusting! I am appalled and disgusted by the way my property was handled! I have yet to file the claim but I know they're not going to give me what my items are worth! Had I known my items would be mistreated, I would have either hauled it myself or took out extra insurance! I do not recommend their services! Period! I paid an arm and a leg (I was even charged for the packaging tape) and have to come out my pocket to replace my items. What a RIP off! The pick up day, I felt like I was signing my life away. The drop off day, again, signing my life away. I didn't have time to read anything. I asked what some of the fees were but they didn't know! I initialed blank spots and signed in blank areas! It's all a gimmick!

On March 15,2021, I was awarded a claim for $100! They damaged so much of my property and offered me $100! All I can offer is for you to take your time and question EVERYTHING! If it does not sound true, it is not! If you do decide to go with them, take out the highest insurance that they would allow because you will need it. Do not let them talk you into. 60 per pound because that is what they did to me and I did not know any better. Be very leery! Moving day is hectic and no time to be asking questions. Never ever again!

I was completely panicked given how hastily I had to move. But they made my moving experience very pleasant. They are not your average moving company that is made up of inexperienced yet strong looking men. Their movers were very professional and knew exactly how to do their job. They were done packing and loading everything from my apartment in just 2 hours. The delivery was made on time and there were no damages. I really appreciate the high standards this company maintains.

I would easily recommend them without any second opinion. When I called the company, I couldnt get them to come over on a preferred date. However, when they rescheduled it to some other day, they gave me a discount because I called them much earlier. A surprising move it was.

The experience was totally positive. I ordered a couple of large boxes and North Van Lines crew brought them in good condition. Packing was done in a steady pace without being hurried up. I give them brownie points for being understanding, responsive and responsible, all at once.

I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service provided by North Van Lines. They always asked us what we really need and helped us pack the items.

It took about three hours to pack them all and load them in the truck. I would easily rate them five stars without any second thoughts. Glad I managed to find someone good here and will be using their services again whenever required.

The organized crew were really at it. They never flinched even a bit and delivered their services with top notch quality. I couldnt have asked for more. Perfect moving experience.

I read a lot, studied and did my research. I hired North Van lines like a year ago. Now, I had the opportunity to hire them again.

The crew led by John is still amazing, co-operative and most of all doesnt shove things into the truck. They took time to place them properly allowing me to be at peace.

Most companies tend to get the job done asap and leave. While it is important to maintain time, our goods are priceless. Claiming insurance is a hard job and I am glad these people didnt put me into that situation. Great work

I have nothing bad to say about the crew who attended to my job. Everything was perfect and they made sure I received all the support I could got. With two bedrooms, it didnt take long to pack and load my goods.

However, the problem came up when we had to reach the neighboring state due to paperwork issues. The customer care people were really supportive and they spoke with multiple sources within a short span of time. It ensured that my belongings were transferred to my new home without any delay. They were really impressive throughout the moving period.

I moved locally last week and the move went perfect. I had a ton of boxes and they came and took them away with ease. I was thrilled that my new home was finished and I called these guys, they were there less than a week later. Disassembled my bed and my sectional couch, plastic wrap n all! Wonderful job from North van lines and we are so happy that we chose this company.

I cant explain how happy I am with the service of North Van Lines. Just a couple of days ago I hired them for a huge move. I do have a big family. I live with my wife and 4 children and 2 pets (bull dogs). Recently we moved to Maryland from New Jersey. Obviously there were many things to be moved and some were very expensive, fragile and needed extra care while moving. When I was talking with their sales rep about the move, he was very keen to know all the little details. He also came to my place before the move and got a clear idea about the current situation. He offered a price, which was well within my budget. Their movers came on time at the day of the move and did everything according to the plan. They were very careful and never in hurry but yet they managed to complete the move within the timeline. They showed their innovation, skills, professionalism and extreme level of concentration. They never took a minute to rest. It was simply awesome to see all my belongings moved at the right place and in perfect condition. I also liked the way they treated my pets. I am more than happy and very impressed with the outcome. I strongly recommend this fantastic company to everyone.

I mean, I never thought I would say the moving experience was incredible. Its just a usual transportation right? But, the crew from North Van lines simply brought the best people on board.

They were extremely cautious with the items. Something you cant find with many companies. But, they didnt slow down the process either. I mean when you pay them per hour, they should finish the entire move in five hours or so.

These guys got it done in just four and half. I should congratulate them. We even took photographs together. Very friendly people. I would hire them again if a need arises.

North van lines sent a team of five people to my home. With five bedrooms and plenty of areas to cover, we had to hire additional services. They charged on an hourly basis as most companies do. It was affordable, at least based on the budget I had in mind.

Besides, the good thing was the people never delayed a single minute even though we will actually pay them if theres an extra hour. The job was quickly done but in an orderly fashion. It was a fun filled day because I was totally carefree and they took the stress out of me. Good job people.

I came here to share my personal experience with the moving company North Van Lines. I am amazingly impressed by their service and support. The guys offered multiple choices with different quotes and I had the freedom to pick the one I found to be my best match. I clearly remember the name of the guy, Andy who was in touch with us throughout the move.

I just cant recommend the movers without specifying their highlights. They are inexpensive, very good people, friendly, punctual and most of all made sure our belongings were secured when loaded in the truck. Not many can make such claims but these guys could!

The client service offered by North Van Lines satisfied me to the core. It is easy to recommend them to any of my friends or family. They were completely reliable, responsive and punctual. The job was paid on an hourly basis which made it easier for me to stay within my budget.

Goods were taken care of and packing was neat. They brought cartons and boxes as I requested. I purchased them from the moving company which made it easy. The crew even took time to properly arrange them in the new address. I am not sure if others would be so attentive to the work they do.

The truck arrived and it was loaded. I didnt have to move a finger except to instruct them at some points. If someone is going to move, I will suggest this company without hesitation.

The pricing was surprisingly reasonable that made me pick this company. I had a long chat with the customer care department. They explained various bundles offered by the team and the quote. It was also confirmed that North Van Lines dont charge you on an hourly basis for total relocation.

We had four bedrooms in our home and I was sure it will take five hours or more to get them vacated. I picked the package that best suited my requirement and the final bill was the same as the suggested quote. Really happy that they didnt charge extra. Crew was punctual and ensured my entire family was stress-free during the move.

Three different guys showed up and I guess they were the team from North Van Lines. As any other person will be, I was literally scared of handing my belongings to them. But, within an hour they proved me wrong. The guys handled the goods with real care and they packed it with multiple layers.

Even when they loaded it in the truck, there was no sign of hurry. The items in my home including the home theater setup, bed and furniture had some fitting to be done. They did it using some tools which sped up the process. It was not stressful at any point of time.

Alex and Joe were the people who guided me throughout the job. I had to go for an interstate move and such services are often considered expensive. But, North Van Lines made it possible in the least possible turnaround time. The service quality, responsiveness were all good too.

They meticulously packed all the items which was something not many movers can boast of. Even though, they had to travel hundreds of miles to reach the destination, the goods were in perfect condition. None of them got any sort of damage. The team did a great job and I couldnt recommend them more.

North Van Lines is one mover whom I would whole heartedly recommend without any second thoughts.

They were really cautious about the goods. Being a musician, I had lots of fragile items at home including some instruments. I packed them earlier but they were the ones who loaded them in the truck. I was really restless at the moment but these guys proved me wrong with their service quality.

The people at North Van Lines are quite reliable. I was happy that I found them through a friends recommendation. They stood up to their name and offered fantastic service. Even when we came across an issue with additional tasks and work hours, all I had to do was make a call to the company and they sorted it out in minutes with a nominal fee.

I think most companies would have pushed the overall cost because I had to hire additional services on the go. Besides, the goods were promptly packed and delivered to my new address. I should also congratulate the truck drive for his impeccable driving. The items were in mint condition. Thanks a ton, people!
