I very much like the content of the website. I have been able to change my resume to suit the individual cover letters and resume to suit each potential employers. I had some technical difficulties on the website, however. There was no live chat; I filled out the form to request an email reply, and the submit button did not work. I called Customer Service. The CSR asked me for my name although I gave it to him upon connection. I needed to repeat my account# 2 or more times. Get a pen!
October 30 2023 I joined with the full confidence in receiving a professional cover letter. I received a document that provided the same information I provided in the questionnaire they do when you initiate the transaction. It was not until I received a call from a prospective employer advising me to change my cover letter because government recruitment companies use a program to detect AI generated documents, if it's over 85% AI they will automatically reject your cover letter. They asked if I could rewrite my cover letter using less than 20% vocabulary assistance. Because of the feedback I waited for my trial period to finish and attempted to cancel my subscription, nope can't get through to them and there was no cancellation option other than an email address which alarmed me because they claim that it's like a Netflix subscription, at least with Netflix they have the cancellation option on their website without emailing the company. That was November 16. Then came December and still no response yet they took my money again for a AI generated document that can be for free and found on Google. I sent an email adding that I would like them to cease my subscription and stop accessing my bank account. I received an email saying that I didn't have an account in my real name. I provided them with my alternative email and account details that I use so to stop spamming. In January I resent the details again after seeing I was charged again even after advising them to stop my subscription and desist from using my card. Again no response but again they deducted the February payment. I immediately sent an email advising them that I am angered that they continue to deduct money from my account even after providing essential information to cease the account. Again no response from them. They left me with no options but to advise my bank to stop future payments and start legal action to retrieve unauthorized activities on my bank account, I also reported them to our governments fraud agency ACCC (Australian Competition & Consumer Commission) and scam watch. I advised them of my actions taken considering that they needed to know that I had to cancel my card, advised all associated companies that I use to pay my power, phone, insurances etc etc of the change of card details. The domino effect is the bank has to cancel my card so they could not access it again Having no card access only having to go into a bank physically to withdraw funds to cover me until my new card arrives angers me knowing they have no remorse for the inconvenience that they caused because I trusted them to do the right thing and follow their own cancellation process. I still have no response AGAIN from them in the form of an apology for their actions or lack of. I received an email from my bank saying my " stop request" was approved and the Bank found the transaction to be fraudulent and will be refunding my last 2 transactions. They have handed it now to their legal team. My only feedback to My Perfect Cover letter is to add a cancel subscription model the same as Netflix, im only using Netflix because you always refer to them when talking of subscriptions, so do the right thing and stop the email bull crap and give your customer based a genuine stop subscription like many other subscription based companies do. I had used there service back in January and signed up for the 14-day trial that costed $2.95. I never made an account with them just paid for that and was unaware an account was made for me. I never authorized any billing and now (in June) have seen Ive been billed for the past 6 months. The "account" only has my email and first and last name on it and only part of my first name Alex (I always make account with Alexander). I called and was told it was a subscription service like Netflix. When I explained I only used it once and never again since, it kept getting reiterated that it was a subscription based service. I was refunded half of my bill 2 days after I was charged that was promised to be received 7-14 business days. I am out about $135 for this "service" that I never used. I would not recommend never clicking on myperfectcoverletter or myperfectresume for this reason. They make their money off of charging people that are unaware they are being charged. Preying on people who are unaware of their tactics.

I cancelled my account in May but was charged for June and July. I called and they apologized and said they could send me a refund for the second half of July (I called on 7/7). And would submit a claim for the rest of July and for June and that I would receive information about that in 3-5 days. I was told an email would be send to me confirming everything we talked about. No information came. No refund for the first half of July or June was received. I have emailed but all I get in response is confirmation of the half of July refund and no acknowledgment of anything else that I'm saying. There are many resume/cover letter businesses out there. I would take my business elsewhere.

The cover letter truly wasn't bad at all. It gave me enough to go in and take the same ideas and repackage it into something that was more, "me." I think this is what most people are trying to do.
That being said, I cancelled my subscription two months ago and it is still being charged to my card. They will not refund the money, even though it was illegally gained. But I guess most thieves won't give you back what they robbed you of if there's no one holding them accountable. If you're on here reading, too late, like I did, go to BBB.com and file a complaint. No offense to this site, but most people only see these reviews after the fact and it will have little to nothing to do with these terribly immoral people being put out of business. At least the BBB has some pull.

HI all, Coverletter was good but for $2.95 and then discover after 4 month they charge $34 for each month and then try to contact them on Asutralian time half an hour with no answer.
And they offer me $27 a year!
Very disappointed.
Not recommend them be carefu dealing woth them. Alway look for hidden words. Not happy can't trust them anymore

This is one of the most shady companies I have ever come across! Communication within is ridiculous! I sent an email inquiring about what type of subscription I was enrolled into and was reassured that I had signed up for their free subscription only to be billed 19.95 about a week and a half or less later! I hold myself partially responsible for this happeniong as I previously had similar problems with their resume site so why I would sign up for their cover letter assistance is beyond me! I too will be handing this issue over to the BBB. Stop preying on people that need this tool due to being unemployed!

This site has a great setup and makes it easy to create a cover letter. What they don't tell you is, after you spend the 2+ dollars for your cover letter, that they sign you up for their monthly subscription (which is over $20 a month). They have that little snippet in the confirmation email. And be honest, who looks at the full extent of the confirmation email? I had it charged me once and I wouldn't have been aware if the fraud detection agency hadn't called me. I figured it was my mistake for subscribing and just canceled my subscription. Or so I thought. A month later, I receive another call from the fraud detection agency, and lo and behold, it was my freakin perfect cover letter. They had charged me AGAIN for their monthly subscription. I called customer service, and the sweet lady refunded my money and canceled my subscription. I didn't get her name, but she was a big help. If they charge me again after all of this, I'm going to leave them an even lower review and report them to the fraud detection agency.

Don't trust this company, they are the worse, I asked from September 5 to delete my membership and after that they told me are working for my request they charged also October 2 times in October 3 and October 31, so don't trust this people they are really unprofessional and not honest!

I must admit, I cannot speak to the sites overall service as I have never used it myself. You may wonder why I am writing this review...
While I have not used this service, my card was being charged as if I had. Yet, I'd never even heard of the site before the charges appeared on my account. I tried to get the charges to stop and was told the service attached to the card was cancelled, but it was not. I was charged again the next month. This time I contacted customer service and explained that my card was used but I had not signed up for the service. Customer service did offer to cancel the service for me but did not offer any refund and was completely unmoving about this. I was forced to file a dispute transaction form with my bank, as well as report this "business" to the BBB.

It's worth remembering it is subscription based but having made a low-cost monthly selection to find that I had been billed incorrectly they resolved this issue without any discourse.

This website has taken over $150 out of my account. They don't have my name correct or my e-mail correct but they have taken money out of my account for 6 months. The "customer care person" did not even speak clear English, They would not even refund all of the money they have fraudulently taken out of my account. They still want to keep $50 dollars for " acceleration" what ever that is? Beware-don't even visit the site they will steal from you--- they did me!

Although this is a good service and has helped me a lot in getting a cover letter done, I paid $1.95 for being able to download and print my cover letter/s etc. for 14 days (I think), but then 2 weeks later I was automatically billed for $34.95. They did inform me of this, but I think $34.95 is way too much to pay for such a service, plus I don't remember them informing of the price change and automatic billing before I actually paid for the service.

I used this service once to create a professional resume an cover letter. I obtained a job offer rather quickly. When I decided I wouldn't currently need their services, I proceeded to cancel my subscription. The representative was friendly and didn't continue to push the product on me, but did offer other discount plans if I was still interested but respectfully declined. He proceeded to go through the cancellation process without any problems. Great customer service. I would recommend this site to anyone looking to build a resume.

He was very polite, efficiently and quickly took care of my cancellation, and arraigned to refund this months service fee!
