“Fraudulent.”

Richard D.
1/21/23

My credit rating & online reviews about perfect. Yet MyLife published false data on the web for me, incorrect birth birth year & making it appear that I was perpetually transient. Then began sending me emails to repair the damage that they caused & was picked up by other venues. So I paid for a premium subscription & reputation repair subscription. I've sent them documentation (scans of all records, ID's, diplomate statuses & certifications (in psychiatric social work, substance abuse counseling & pastoral counseling. Sent them scans of perfect BBB reports & much more, including all official academic transcripts. They will not act to change. When one calls, it is not uncommon to have a wait time in excess of 3 hours. When one does get through, agents appear to be outsourced overseas, incapable of or unwilling to listen to your concerns & will disconnect you after a few minutes. I've sent 22 emails to them, with attachments & a means to easily document my assertions. Further, they refuse to cancel my premium & restoration service. I've spent more than 400 hours trying to rectify problems they created. Obviously, this is bizarre & criminal.

“Chinese Communist party scam?”

This site looks like it's targeting people to scam them for money to get public records accessible for free. They also have some sort of reputation score which sounds like the Chinese Communist party's fascist social 'credit' scoring BS. Reject any organization with this kind of un-American behavior.

Products used:
None. Sat through a very phony data collection screen which should take no more than a couple seconds to load that runs forever. I would not purchase their service because the records are available generally for free and easily accessible. The reputation score is very creepy and another turn off to the service.

I signed up and gave them a CC # which they said was declined by the bank. I called the bank and they denied ever having been billed or having denied any such thing. So I closed my CC and requested a new #. Since then i have received emails and phone calls from the vendors who had bill renewals charged on my CC account asking for an updated new CC #. My account with MyLife was phished and my information stolen by or sold to scammers. Don't sign up for this, you will be sorry.

Products used:
I cancelled my CC with my bank, and MyLife Account with MyLife and just went through the on line process of removing all of my personal info that MyLife has on line. I also requested that my perssonal information not be sold to anyone.

After years of being on the Free Service I thought it would be best to Correct all the Wrong Information supposedly found by My Life. I was just trying to put my card info.in to pay the $12.95 a month payment program wen I received that my card on PayPal was just charged $145.00 by a company called Reunion.com.Needless to say I didn't even finish putting my Original PayPal Card info.in n went right to my PayPal Account. I mean it was like...2 min.after I clicked on the Pay w PayPal they charged my PayPal. But guess wat...I had n have all my Cards Locked.! Fortunately! But this company Reunion.com is a subsidiary website for My Life.com. N I will be Reporting both Sites for Theft. If it's possible, because that's wat they tried to do to me. But also it's late in month n I'm Broke...lol...lol But it Still Sucks.! Shoot I had to close out my Bank Account because my bank...got tired of my reporting I did not make that transaction n I did not give them my info. They accauly took my debit card away. People steal you're info. So Easily Now...it's Scary. And my 2 ins.company EFT...they kept sending them in Be4 My SSCheck was Deposited. N I was paying $50 extra a month to the bank for that. N the companies...I'm ready to send them my Bank Statements Proving they Costed Me Extra Money I really don't have almost Every Month. The Bank...oh that's You're Problems Mrs. Dunn. Excuse me...my husband passed n I think it's you're job to Help Me.! Ohhh Nooo. Bye Bye UKnow Wat. Anyway yeah MyLife.com has co-conspirator at Reunion.com.

Tip for consumers:
DONT TRUST THEM !!

This website wants to sell you information and it's somewhat based on fear. It collects public data and then miscategorizes it sometimes and makes you think you need to update it, but you can't do it without paying. I will tell you the trial method was cheap and it was easy to cancel so props for that. But for example, it said I have a criminal record and it turned out to be a parking ticket. That's just nonsense - parking tickets are not crimes. ‍

And any other present or future companies they own or control. The provisions bar MyLife and Tinsley from misrepresenting consumers' legal backgrounds and expressly prohibit them from stating directly or by implication that a traffic citation is a criminal or arrest record. The order also bans MyLife and Tinsley from using a negative-option automatic renewal feature in their current and future business activities. The order includes 20-year compliance and reporting requirements.

The order also includes a $33.9 million total judgment against MyLife and Tinsley, representing the entire amount of consumer redress sought by the government and found appropriate by the court on summary judgment. Tinsley will personally pay $5 million of this sum, with MyLife liable for the remainder. The amount MyLife will pay will be suspended to $16 million, with the suspension to be lifted, if the court finds that either defendant materially misrepresented their financial status or if MyLife fails to make its required payments.

The case was handled by attorneys in the Civil Division's Consumer Protection Branch, including Senior Litigation Counsel Patrick Runkle and Claude Scott, Trial Attorneys Zachary Dietert, Rachel Baron and Zachary Cowan, and Assistant Director Lisa Hsiao, in conjunction with Andrea Arias, Jamie Elliott Hine, Whitney Moore and Robert Schoshinski at the FTC Division of Privacy and Identity Protection.

Not sure why anyone would be foolish enough to put money into it. Not sure what everyone else sees but when I see my profile it shows that it's among the best. Granted I have a clean record but that doesn't mean my reputation is as great as they make it look. Apparently changes were made not long ago because at one point anybody could go in there and just edit people's profiles and some of them were outrageously done in error out of spite. I wouldn't trust this site anymore than my worst enemy.

I received an email telling me to look at my profile. I paid the fee to view what was listed for me. It was about 20% correct. Had me listed at an address that was five years old. Had me married to a woman I divorced over five years ago. Showed me owning a vehicle that I sold ten years ago. When I contacted the company I was told " we access information that is shown on public records." I don't believe that. I checked the public records and the home that previously owned is being shown to owned by someone else. There is a divorce order entered into the public records for my previous marriage. I would tell someone to ignore this company. Don't believe what they have posted, further send their emails to the spam folder and unsubscribe. They are only trying to get your money and feeding you a line of bull sh@t.

For $4.98 I asked MyLife to find a missing cousin. All I got back was data re: myself. Then MyLife added on an additional $155.40 charge for a service I NEVER ordered. I was unable to reach a live person at MyLiofe by phone. I only got a recorded message telling me to Email. My credit card company is disputing the charge. This has been a horrible experience.

But low and behold I get a fraud alert within 5 minutes stating that they tried to charge my card an additional $155.xx. Irritated to the max with these thieving companies they had all kinds of info wrong on me couldn't change anything on my profile so I just spent nearly $10 for zilch then have them turn around to try and scam me out of more. Don't run into me on the street I'll get my $10 back trust me. Sick of the brazen thieves in society who never worked for a living who think it's okay to take what is not theirs. Scum and God is watching them all so in the end He will set them all straight!

I purchased 1 single report...on myself to see how accurate it was. For the $9.95 fee they didn't show me anything but my name and age. It kept popping up a window trying to scam me out of $159.99, the info it did show was SUPER dated and terribly inaccurate. Seriously, this site should be shut down for scamming people.

Do not ever go on this site! I was a member for 2 days and discontinued it. I got a message from my bank that Mylife hit me up for $84.40 my bank blocked the transaction and sent me a text. So I loose my bank card because it was corrupted and have to wait 2 weeks to get another. I called this scum site and told them what happen and they did not seem surprised about this at all! Hopefully authorities will shut down this site and throw these scumbags in prison.

They are textbook fraud. 1) take your cc info; my bad! 2) then they withdraw MORE than they claimed IN FINE PRINT….
3) ABSOLUTELY no response whatsoever to emails, phone calls, notice the "s" as in plural meaning several attempts at inquiries to contact with no replies!

I found out this site posted ALL my personal info including the last 4 of my SSN, mother's maiden name, address, credit cards, car, photos of me, my house--setting me up to be victimized. Called and emailed asking them to take it down and they want me to PAY a membership fee to "edit" or "remove" my info. Some of the info is straight up wrong and other is defamatory. I wonder how they pick their victims?

Went to obtain a report on my daughter who recently passed away looking for anything discovery that might disturb an already grieving father. Indicated a one time fee for a single report and they added a premium charge that was not authorized. Called customer service and became argumentative refusing to grant my request to remove the premium charge that I did not authorize. Instead the agent tried to get me to authorize and additional four dollar a month for the service. What a scam! What a fraud!

This company should be put out of business and have a class action suit filed against them. I signed up for a trial offer just to see what info was available on me and found it had my current address as an address I haven't been at for over 30+ years just for starters. For a company that supplies info that gives a reputation score that could be used as a basis for employment, housing, loans, volunteer services should not exist anywhere at any time. The info provided is unreliable and could be damaging to good and honest people. I was billed for $179 and $156 and it's impossible to reach the company at any phone numbers or email. There should be laws against this type of "service" and the info they provide. I urge others to not even bother with a trial offer because you will be hit with outrageous charges with little recourse to get your money back. Let's put this company out of business and start a class action lawsuit. I only gave a one star because it's not possible to give them anything less.

Tip for consumers:
Mylife.com could be very damaging if the info is used for employment, housing, loan or to volunteer. To judge ppl

Impossible to understand contact folks. Charged twice within 5 min and contact person refused to remove one charge. He was rude, impolite, not good with english language. Gave me conformation number but would not repeat the number, continued to say let him talk and then he went silent? Asked if still there and said what can he do for me, for third time asked him to turn auto renew which is set automatically if you pay a dollar for 7 day access. In my case was charged twice? Two dollars and auto renew, now have to watch closley for the auto renew on either charge? What a bunch of total crap to get out of something each month

Tip for consumers:
Be careful with hidden auto renew, it may only be undone by phone because u are not allowed to login to your account , forgot password never returns an email thus u are stuck with rude folks when they do finally answer.
