“Incredible for bulk emailing lists”

Mailchimp has a very easy to use interface so you can keep your email lists up to date with beautiful and responsive emails. They also have a great product for transactional emailing (Mandrill). Wonderful!

Mailchimp deleted an account of mine for reasons unknown and now claim they cannot restore it, yet the email address I use with the website remains in their system. As a web designer and internet marketer I know any account can be restored on the server side, so the rep is flat out lying. This is an arbitrary choice on their part not to reinstate it, yet they claim they will "let" me to set up a new account with a different email address. This is ridiculous and stunningly stupid when they already have the only address that is associated with the website and has been since the beginning, so I cannot simply create a new address to represent a website that has been in business for years.

After deleting and completely clearing my mailing list of 1800 (maximum allowed is 2500) I re-entered the new list, also of around 1800. This triggered an automatic notification that I had exceeded the limit allowed by my subscription. Every complaint to the service desk resulted in automated response, followed by an automated follow-up asking "how was our service" responding "unsatisfactory" that message simply triggered another automated response, followed – you've guessed it – by an automated "how was our service?" message. When despite everything an invoice then followed for the non-existent additional addresses I lost patience and cancelled my bank direct debit. This led to a pathetic message saying that it was for my security that they do not respond to any address other than the one used to set up the account (which in this case was a marketing company acting on my behalf). One of the worst examples of pigheaded adherence to self imposed rules that I've come across. I have just signed up with Sendinblue, ticks all the same boxes and is actually cheaper. My first contact with customer service resulted in a telephone call from their Paris headquarters, and dealt with the query perfectly

It is a completely reliable email marketing system. They used to have a different free plan, but now the prices changed. They are expensive, that is true, but undoubtedly, they are no. 1 in the market.

The whole Colouricious business is based on Mailchimp - it is totally fabulous! Basically you write one email to your own database - our's is currently 10,000 subscribers and we send a newsletter every week via Mailchimp which generates our branding and our sales. Without Mailchimp our company would not have grown as big, ever, probably. One link to sign up for newsletter is the way forward for any company & Mailchimp is incredible. Love it!

I could almost give them their props for providing pretty designs and offering free service besides paid options. Unfortunately, I can't give them a decent rating.

The navigation process on their site is too slow plus my bottom line wasn't met. Though you can create pleasing campaigns, preview them and send a test email to yourself, it's too hard to actually send newsletters and introduction messages to subscribers you listed in their system.

MailChimp is great! We use the free plan and it's been more than enough for us. No support, but we might upgrade to get that option.

I have used many email platforms, this one is definitely the best. It's the cleanest UI experience. Make sure you clean your lists before uploading, they are strict on bounces, etc.

Had a great experience with the Mailchimp support. I'm not so tech-person, so had some stupid cashe issues in the begining. But the support team explained me everything. Thanks for your help and patience!

(1) Neat that you can upload your own templates. But sometimes Sublime text says my template is perfect while Mailchimp cannot render it correctly and I need to add extra tags just to satisfy Mailchimp.
(2) Neat file managing system. Basically, like a CMS - no need to worry about locating files on your business FTP server.
(3) Pricing bites sometimes.
(4) I wish they offered more options for conditions: like "send this campaign to people on this list who did not read my previous email".

I had an account that collected those whom subscribe on my website. In Christmas of 2018, after 3 years as a customer, my account was hacked. They required I send an email asking the people to confirm subscription. We all know how busy people are at the holiday, so majority did not open their email or confirm. I am sure it worried them to get such kind of email. Those that did not confirm were deleted from my subscriber list. After that, I did not login until February when I find I am locked out. They got back with me in late July to tell me because my account was hacked, they locked it and I had to do a virus scan, among other things, for them to consider giving me back my account. Remember, I am paying a monthly fee the whole time. Today, he said I can get it back if I make a two step verification process, and agree to the terms that no one else will access the account. Well, I am not a web designer or digital marketer so I am not going to be doing that, so obviously my web designer will be using it. Make me use it and make me waste my money since I do not have those skills. In total, after 4 years of using mailchimp, I lost over 700 subscribers as a result of being hacked! Not like I could help it or something I did wrong?! Being hacked is enough to deal with in itself! I do not need more trouble from being hacked! Stay away! They will ruin all your hardwork and not value your business. They are halfway a scam charging me while locking me out for 5 months!

Great service. Great company. I have never had a problem with my marketing campaigns. Unlike other providers, which dont always follow through the agreements.

Mailchimp by far is the easiest and quickest way to build a list, and start staying in touch with your customers via e-mail. The free option allows up to 2000 contacts and even automated campaigns. Must use for any business.

My company uses mailchimp for the sending of all our system related emails to customers, password resets, alerts the customer has configured, receipts, etc.

We have had a few issues with MailChimp in the past six months and they literally offer ZERO customer service. Well, they do offer email, but their response time is many hours. When you have a critical portion of your system (like email being sent to your customers) a response time of many hours is simply not acceptable.

On top of all that their prices went through the roof. We were spending almost nothing for this service and now we are spending about $1500 per year. When the price first jumped I thought, "Well things can only be free for so long." But the customer service did not change, improve, and frankly it seems to have gotten worse.

We will be moving away from Mailchimp ASAP.

You would have to be an awful business person to use mail chimp. How can you use a system that only has service M-F 9a to 5p? Is that what is good for the customer or the company. How can you as a business person, give money to a company that can shut down your email program at their whim because their "system" flags something and then YOU have to work to prove you were not wrong.

This is a decent eblast service, but I definitely see room for improvements. Especially, with the lists. It would be helpful if you could view the whole list and uncheck a few you don't want to send to. There are several templates to choose from, but it seems they're all about the same. I do like when you preview, it shows you what it will look like on a mobile device. I don't know, it gets the job done, but I would like to see more flexibility.

I really love MailChimp service and I believe it's one of the best email marketing solutions out there.

One thing I can't figure out is their weird pricing model: the FREE plan allows you to store up to 2000 subscribers, while the PAID plan worth $20/mo only allows up to 1500 subscribers. Is that fair?
