Hello Anita, we can certainly accept cartridges for recycling! Rather than shipping those cartridges back to us though, there may be some better options available for you. Typically, we recommend taking the empty cartridges to your local office supplies store such as Target or Staples. You may also check out earth911.com for more recycling information. If the these options do not work for you, that is no problem! Please feel free to ship them to us and we will pass them onto a recycling facility for you. If returned to us make sure to mark clearly "For recycle only" on and inside the package. Please send us a private message so we can provide you instructions. We are not able to offer shipping labels or monetary compensation, but you can still feel good knowing that you are helping to keep our environment stay green. Good question, you can use any model of printer as all printer should take remanufactured or compatible ink/toner cartridges, and using after market products will not void your printer warranty just because you choose to use compatible, third-party products. The clear piece of plastic covering the nozzles at the bottom of the cartridge. Do NOT remove these clear pieces of plastic, the printer will puncture these during the charging cycle. Just make sure the nozzle has been punctured properly, to ensure that the ink will flow correctly.
