I have been searching for makeup with healthy ingredients so I took a chance with JULEP! I am 69 years young and Never have I tried a mascara that did not make my eyes hurt and burn all day! I have been wearing With a Twist mascara all day now and the relief is amazing! I also bought three colors of eyeshadow I absolutely love (don't let that charcoal scare you away, ladies) I use it like an eyeliner ALL around my eyes AND as a brow filler! It is very soft and I do not look like a raccoon. Lol I also bought the Clay Matte & the Pearl Shimmer … just a perfect combination and so natural looking. And last, I got the concealer which I Love because it brightens your eyes without looking shinny or oily. I always had to use face powder and now, I do Not! I am getting ready to order more products, especially have my eye on the healthy nail polish. I am so thankful to this company because I can now wear makeup again without irritation all day long! And it truly does LAST! Thank you JULEP for a healthy product and at a very SWEET Price! Patti

I placed an order for amount 200.00 worth of make - up with the understanding it would be shipped out ASAP since I paid for express. It now has been 10 business days and still no word on my order other than it's being processed. They claim 3-5 business days... Yeah, right. I could go to Ultra or another shop and get the same items by another company without the bs this company is handling out.

Absolutely loved the product and especially the smoky taupe shimmer colour but very disappointed that you have to sharpen after every use which is making it very expensive to use unfortunately

35% discount displayed during checkout disappeared in the order confirmation. So disappointed...

Poor experiences are so rare, but this has sure been one.

You people cheated me out of more than $20. Shame on you.

I ordered a kit of eye shadows and received only one color. False advertising, do not trust. I agree with the other poor reviews and will not purchase from this company again.

I like the quality of their nail polish. Didn't chip or lose shine for a week. You can customize your box or swap items, which is a plus. They have discontinued the option of skipping a box. You get that option only after getting 10 boxes in a row or something.
Unfortunately, 2-3 new nail polish a month is way too much for me. They have hardly any other beauty products, the ones they have are not very enticing, so I had to cancel. The cancellation process went pretty smoothly for me.

I placed an order online and it arrived today. I was billed for my full order. Two items are missing from my packing slip and my shipment, however they show on my online purchase order on their website. I noticed the items that are missing are no longer in stock. I'd specifically placed this order in the first place FOR THOSE ITEMS and had added a few others, the items that did arrive, just to reach the free shipping threshold. Normally when an order is placed the stock should show accurately whether it's available or not. If for some reason their inventory was way off, then they should at least reach out to the customer to let them know that said items are out of stock and refund the difference to the original method of payment. I run a business myself - very similar in process - and I have the system set to show accurate inventory and errors are never made. If for some reason an error occurs which has not happened thus far, my system would automatically refund the difference and alert the buyer of the situation in advance. The LAST thing I'd ever do is just bill someone for something I'm not shipping and then just "wait and see" if said customer notices. I also notice that the negative reviews on Julep here tend to be billing related as well. Perhaps Julep may take notice and make the three clicks within the site's platform that it would take in order to put these in place to avoid further inventory and billing issues.

I received my order today. I placed an order for 6 bottles of nail polish and nail decals. What happened to the pretty box? Mine came in a white envelope and return address said it was from AS Beauty. I have been ordering from them for years and this is a first. I don't want my items to arrive broken or crushed.

Ordered something. Never received it. Contacted customer service. You only receive a grammatically incorrect computerized response. There is no live person to help. Had to dispute charge with credit card company. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

I placed my first order with Julep last Wednesday. Today is Monday and still hasn't shipped. I wish I had not ordered from them, and never will again.

Julep had me at "nail polish maven". Seriously though. Julep is a great service and as a maven I get all sorts of deals on beauty products, and I get bonuses for referring my friends. I guess the only problem with all these beauty subscription services is that you get stuff every month and sometimes I feel obligated (or lazy!) to keep things I might not buy otherwise so maybe I spend more money. But I still love Julep anyhow.

I placed an order on cyber monday - it has been in process for 9 days. I emailed to ask when it would be received and if not by Christmas I would want to cancel. The person that responed never gave me a timeframe or status - sent me a return form. I emailed back that I only wanted to return if not rec'd by Christmas. Someone nicely replied that they would send tracking once shipped. A couple of hours later the first person who was so rude cancelled my order. Worst customer service ever! They billed me on 12/3 and now tell me to wait 10 days for a refund? Worst company ever - will be out of business soon.

I like that you can answer questions about your preferences and the selection is somewhat personalized, however, you may get a shipment of things you do not want or need.
In one box, I received two small nail polish colors, a nail buff that is about 1 x 2inches and a cuticle serum. Meh. If I were to go to the store, I would have bought one of the polishes.
If you like a lot of extra items and want a shipment to come monthly, this is the site for you. If you don't like a lot of clutter and want to pick items based on what you would use, you may want to avoid this service.

The customer service line receives 5 stars. Quick answer, very friendly and easy to use prompts.

An order from December was returned according to their policies, however after several emails, there is no response on the over $200 worth of products that were returned. From other reviews. This company likes you to order from them but doesn't like it when you need to return or cancel. Look at similar reviews and be very cautious when ordering from this company.

What can I say that I got every product I paid for and I paid for a few that I did not want. Customer service is impossible and more like customer handling. I loved the products and the prices but it is not worth being taken for. My CS rep told me we had discussed something after no reply for five days and then doing the opposite of what I asked. If you do not have funds available at the time for the box in your shopping fund, they will keep running it until it goes through although your window to order/edit/skip a month is about 3 days. Shady shady shady. I cancelled my membership with sadness over the loss of products and gave them every chance to make it right. And then they tried to send another box before they refunded me. I had to escalate to get the refund that I havent gotten yet and escalate again to skip the box this month. Then I just cancelled. Use a prepaid card if you really need the awesome polish.

Julep SUCKS. Seriously.
Subscribed to get my first box free and that was all fine and dandy until I tried to cancel.
Called, canceled, got no confirmation email.
Called, hold, voicemail.
Called, hold, voicemail.
Didn't get ahold of someone for weeks, and when I finally did, they canceled and I STILL never got a confirmation email.
Long story short, I had to have my credit card company put a stop payment request for all charges coming from them and they FINALLY canceled my subscription.

The nail polish isn't even that nice either. And the stupid eyeliner smudges like nobody's business.

The products are not small sample sizes. They are good quality and I like the fact I can choose what product and change it before they mail it to me. I had an issue with my address being off by one number and never received my first two boxes. I called them and they fixed the problem and resent the two boxes. Very nice customer service. You get your moneys worth with Julep.

I love this site, it has so many great product and great deals. They are a little on the high end but each time you spend you get points that will cover the cost of products later. I've gotten a total of two boxes so far and love them!

I have placed numerous orders from this Company many times. Although they are an American Company, they ship FREE to Canada on all orders $10.00 plus. They always have a special deal for your first order. They offer many sales throughout each month. I always receive my orders promptly and have never had an error in any order I've placed. All products have arrived as shown on their website. Take a chance. It is well worth your while. I have tried most of their products. This is definitely a website that is of interest to the female population.

Wonderful product! Great customer service--quick to respond fully and friendly. Affordable! Ability to buy one at a time, subscribe and buy automatically monthly, skip a month, change "styles" which gives you a different option of items included in your monthly box.

I have loved every box I've gotten so far!
(I am really not into buying loads of makeup and beauty products, but this box lets me get the girly side of me out.)

What I like about julep is the surprise I get every month and the colors really are very unique and always fashionable. The discounts are great and it makes a great gift for friends living far away. Here is what I do not like-- I do not like how you cannot sign up for just month to month :(

I love Julep so much! I'm a busy mom who doesn't have a lot of time to fuss over manicures, so the fact that these polishes STAY ON, CHIP FREE is great! The website/style quiz is so easy and I feel like they always send me polishes I like. I've never had a problem, and will continue with my subscription.

I have been a Maven for over 2 years now and I LOVE my Maven box! I have heard some complaints in the past, but I've personally never had a problem with them. I love the polish and for $20 a month, it's a great deal considering the polishes are $15 each! I love the beauty products that come along with each box. It's an absolute great deal and I highly recommend this subscription! You can always skip that month if nothing seems to suite you. There was 1 month that we had some "funky brushes" in the polish and they had quite a few people complain. About a week later I received 2 new bottle tops with a note saying they don't know what happened but they acknowledged the mistake and replaced them for me! I also had one bottle broken and they sent me a new bottle within a couple of days. To me, that's not a big deal considering how many beauty products I buy in the mail. They do a great job in packaging and the box always gets to me super fast and I love the whole process! Love being a Maven!

Good Service! Very nice people, although i was disappointed in the previous box. I loved the nail polishes but disappointed in the DD Cream( BB CREAM). It didn't match my skin, doesn't give any coverage, makes my skin feel sticky also the container was only half full. Love the packaging though.
