“Excellent product”

Easy to install. Took me about 2 hours for 4 panels that make up my single car garage door. The side pieces for the edges added more time because of all the small cuts. This wasn't needed but I wanted to cover all areas of the door. Had a slight hiccup with my order since it did not include double sided tape after a few emails to customer service I was sent a roll via FedEx. Shipping was a bit expensive but the overall quality of this product outweighed the approx $60 shipping costs to Staten Island NY.

Product did not arrive at address specified. Had to go pick up in personal vehicle. Shipper refused to refund costs. Insulation for Less provided about a 10% refund. Product not used yet, box of pins damaged, will have to rebox. Can't recommend unless you go get it yourself.

Ordering and delivery was easy and very timely. I ordered the Prodex 10M product. It has been super easy to work with and because of that very very little waste. The product is heavy duty, able to take some wear and tear during cutting and installation. Overall very pleased with the product. This is no 'bubble wrap insulation'! The only small downside is not related to product but is shipping cost which I don't think much can be done about that.

I don't often post reviews but what the heck it's nice to say something nice once in a while. I got the insulation fast. It installed fairly easily on a ceiling with my screw gun and it works. I'll probably order more because I'll be adding an extension to a vacation house. That's it. See ya.

We installed this insulation in a new metal building last fall. It was easy to work with and easy to install on the walls. The ceilings not so much just because of the need to work over your head etc. This fall we have torn down the ceiling insulation and paid to have spray foam put in the ceiling. We could not keep the building warm and when we did get it warm, we had dripping from condensation. I asked for help and they did let me know that somehow we did not have all the holes filled and air was getting in from the outside. I'm sure they were right, but we were not able to fix this problem. I would say over all we are very disappointed in this insulation. I read all the reviews and everyone was so positive so I felt I needed to add a real life fail. Hopefully they will keep this review on the site for future people to read.

Let me tell you about it!
I am an Architect for 30 years licensed in 4 states and used this for my Daughters high performance house. R-17 going in and add another R-38 pink fuzz at the ceiling gives you R-55 for your house! Plus the attic does not need vents with this air, vapor and thermal barrier all in one product it meets code for a conditioned or semi conditioned attic. I am using an ERV for energy efficiency.
When selecting your product It does seem confusing because of all the products they offer but if you need any guidance they will help you pick what is appropriate and provide installation instructions. Each product is designed for certain applications and price points.

Its nice the product is water proof mold proof and you can install it fast and easy yourself. Beats calling in a spray foam contractor!

You’ll be able to see from this person’s email that she’s done this to other vendors. Ask yourself, “Who is so familiar with different state Attorney Generals that they know which ones are more sympathetic to consumers? How would she know that the Maryland Attorney General would be more sympathetic to her claim than the Texas Attorney General? What type of persons threatens to go to a State Attorney general on a such a small disagreement?

It sad, that small companies are occasionally forced to deal with this type of nonsense - People that threaten to post bad reviews and reports unless you agree to do give them free products or service. You’ll find below our communication with the consumer and the ship carrier.

The LTL carrier refused to grant her any discount given the facts of the case; never-the-less, as a goodwill gesture, Insulation4Less paid her $75. That wasn’t enough to avoid her rath.

Summary:

No carrier could get down their road with a large truck. The carrier agreed to meet them at a church lot but the lot wasn’t plowed! So the customer picked up the insulation at the carriers local facility.

As a goodwill gesture, Insulation4Less paid her $75 for the inconvenience even though it was her road and the unpaved parking lot that resulted in the insulation having to be picked up at local carrier facility.

This customer threatened to post multiple negative reviews, contact the Texas attorney general and CFPB unless we paid her $250. That’s correct - $250 to pick the insulation up at a local facility!

Below you’ll find a copy of the information from the ship broker and the email from the customer attempting to blackmail us to give her $250.

Message from Ship Broker:

“Unfortunately, ABF is standing strong in not reducing their charges at all. This is their reply from requesting a reduction of fees: The street Mr. Gordon lives on they can’t get a semi down it at all. The driver was supposed to meet the consignee at a church on Harpers Ferry Road, due to the snow/ice the driver could not get into the parking lot as it had not been plowed. So, he had to set it up to pick it up. We won’t adjust the charges as we did move the freight from TX to MD…”

Message from Customer:

“An amount closer to $250, would be acceptable.
Please consider this.
Reviews & reputation are important in all businesses, and comments on sites like Yelp & Facebook, are taken seriously.
The Maryland attorney general, unlike the Texas attorney general, is sympathetic to the consumer, as is the CFPB.”

This may seem weird but I was most impressed with your professional responses to reviews. That told me a lot and made me more comfortable ordering. My experience in inquiring, receiving, installing and having the Prodex Total in my roof is good. It appears to do the things you stated. It does to reduce the sound of rain and help control the temperature swings in the house.

This company is the absolute worst. I ordered about 1400 sqft of insulation. I asked them about how long to ship. They said I should receive in about 10 days. After weeks with nothing, I contacted the shipping company. They said they never received product to ship. I contacted insulation 4 less they said they found order it would arrive next week. That was a month ago. I contacted the shipping company again and they again confirmed no order had arrived to them. This company took my money and just plain ripped me off. Save yourself and go with a reputable legit company. This operation is fly by night * scam company.

We didn’t know that he hadn’t received his order until we saw his scathing reviews.

Rather than notify us that he didn't receive the insulation, Mr. James Lemmi chose instead to name call, exaggerate and lie on this and other review sites.

We emailed Mr. Lemmi the below evidence that the shipper dropped the ball and we were unaware that he didn’t receive his insulation. We and ask Mr. Lemmi to modify his reviews and complaints to reflect the truth of the matter. Rather than remove the hyperbole, exaggerations and claims of scam, he instead replied: “I don’t care…”

Below is proof that:
We offered him a choice of a full refund or an extra insulation roll added to his order.
The carrier dropped the ball on getting his shipment to him after telling us that they would.

Good morning Kathy,

I've finally gotten an update from Estes on this. Unfortunately they are advising this shipment was not located as they originally reported and this is still missing. At this point it would be best to file a claim on this. I do apologize. Do you have the information on how to file a claim?

Thank you,

I reviewed several different products before deciding on my Prodex purchase. Being a swimming pool cover contractor I noticed the insulation layer in the Prodex product was the same stuff used in the commercial pool covers you will find at your local High schools/Gyms & Country clubs. The three days it took to erect the 30 x 45 (24FT high) building the temperature was 105 degrees outside. The temperature inside the building was 15 degrees cooler. The insulation looks neat and clean. Shipping was quick and easy. Product arrived in good shape. I would do business with Insulation 4 Less again.

We were unsure of the product - gave it a chance. Works incredibly well. Just a sheet metal shed. You could touch the metal on the outside - very hot recently, in August 95 degree weather. Inside was Incredibly cooler! Thin material. Easy to manuever, Easy to install. Will use again!

Facts:
1. Order placed on August 27th, delivered on September 11th - That's 11 business days. NOT 3 weeks!
2. NOWHERE on our website does it state we can expedite LTL shipping!
Unfortunately, businesses are forced to respond to blatant and easily provable falsehoods.

This company just wants to argue, we are still waiting for our order 2 weeks after placing our order and they said its our fault that the delivery company is holding our order hostage and hasn't delivered due to residential charge. I have the receipt that clearly shows from insulation4less own website that I not only selected residential delivery, but I paid the residential delivery fee. They then said that there is no fees for residential delivery on their website, Well then why is it on my receipt from their website? Rather than get to the bottom of the issue and have a civil conversation that could result in a long term customer spending lots of money with their company, insulation4less just keeps sending argumentative emails threating us if we file a charge back they would keep the product and our money, (which we never said we would do, but now we are now seriously considering a civil suit) buyer beware! Shady business practices. After reading many of their other reviews this seems to be a pattern with them. Wish I would have done more research.

I ordered the 10M. It works well, seals well and looks neat. My primary concern was condensation and heat in my metal building. I give it 5 stars on improving my building on both of those things. I previously had fiberglass in the building but it started cracking so I certainly wasn't going to replace it with more fiberglass. I was in a hurry. Fortunately, Prodex Insulation4less shipped quick.

I purchased 4 rolls of this product and have installed 3 rolls with no issue. Unfortunately, the last roll is separating and flaking apart. I contacted customer service and was told that this roll must have been exposed to moisture and there was nothing they could do for me. I assured them this product has been stored in an enclosed garage since we purchased it in sept 2016. They responded that it had been too long since our purchase for them to do anything for us. So if you are building and not going to use this product right away DO NOT PURCHASE! They do not stand behind their product.

CustomerService I. – Insulation4Less Rep

Summary of case:
1. Customer did not install insulation for over 8 months.
2. Insulation left if plastic packaging.
3. Insulation was exposed to moisture - The moisture was trapped in plastic packaging - The insulation was not allowed to dry.

This issue does not occur after insulation is installed. Proof of the accuracy of this statement is the fact that you will not find more than one or two such a cases reported anywhere (This review site, reviews posted on product pages the BBB etc.). Any reported case includes the following common facts: Insulation was not installed for at least 6 months and the insulation was left in plastic packaging. The consumer may not be aware of the moisture being trapped in the plastic packaging. The moisture can enter via small tears in plastic packaging.

Details of case:
September 10,2016 Order placed
June 17,2017 Customer wrote: " I ordered 3 rolls of insulation back in September 2016. I just got around to installing the last roll and the radiant barrier is falling off the insulation along one side of the roll. Can you contact me back on a resolution.

June 17,2017 Reply from I4L: " Unfortunately your issue has to do with the storage of the material. The insulation was stored in area with moisture at some point in the last 8 months. The moisture was not allowed to dry (product still in plastic bag)."

Easy install so far, but too early to tell what I will get for temperature control (Steel quonset building) I will find out this winter. The only thing disappointing with the prodex 10 is that the heat seam sealing doesn't work, so I had to buy a whack of reflective tape to seam the seals. It sticks in some places, in others it wont stick or it will let go after a few minutes. The metal tape works though, just an additional cost.

Tip for consumers:
After 2 Years I can say that this product works. I was told that my steel building would drip and have condensation, especially because I live in NS where there are huge temperature swings and high humidity. So far no drips, and no condensation. The building is dry and comfortable. It is also cool during our hot humid summers

The trick is to start at a low temperature with your heat gun and keep increasing the temperature until you get the foam soft enough to stick. Once the foam is soft enough, you'll have no problem sealing the seam.
