“Cannot access account online or on the App "oops! It's us, not you"”

My loan was sold to Freedom 3 months ago and I have never been able to access their online portal. I like to always make an extra principal payment each month. I do not want to call in every time as I'm very busy. I'm seriously considering contacting my lawyer because customer service is ZERO help. In fact one person told me to try again later that they were able to access my account when they logged on as me. What does that even mean?

I have been trying to log onto my account for several days. I have contacted Freedom Mortgage's customer service no less than five times about this issue and I have not received a resolution to this issue. I'm told it's been escalated every time but I have never received any kind of contact from these people to resolve this issue. All contact has been initiated by me and no one has solved this problem. I have spent hours on the phone to no avail.

I get no response to my issue. I'm disgusted with their service.

Unfortunately, Roundpoint sold my mortgage to Freedom Motgage and it has been hell ever since. They paid out two insurance companies at once under my name and basically informed me its my job to recover my fees. Thanks to them I am out 1400.
00 negative equity and an increase in my mortgage. They told me I need to request my refund from Nsure and of course one is pointing the finger at the other one. Please dont do any business with these people. Again my mortgage was sold to them ang the problems began and never stopped. My only hope is to contact the department of veterans affairs

Tip for consumers:
Please read reviews carefully. Why would an insursnce company pay out to escrows in the same year knowing it would cause a shortage

Freedom purchased our original mortgage shortly after we bought our home. Shortly after this they sent information to me letting me know a refinance option was available to a lower rate and a better payment. The rate was lower and the payment was considerably better than what I was paying so I went with it.

What I didn't realize was that they estimated my taxes for escrow at 1250 for the year. This was grossly under any estimate for the area where I live. There is no one in our county who pays close to that. They were off in there estimate by roughly 7600 dollars. So of course I am short in my escrow and now owe a little over 9000 dollars to cover the shortage.

Now, I know a person should always read the fine print but this estimate for my taxes was so grossly under any taxes that anyone pays in my area that something just seems fishy. This seems like some sort of tactic used by a mortgage company to get the best of their customers knowing that most probably will not read the fine print. If you can, I would avoid Freedom Mortgage at all cost. At best I would say their business practices are questionable.

We have had a lot of trouble rewriting our loan, so frustrating over 6 months we send documents and they say they never got them, over and over. Then they say, times up and we start over. Not sure what is going on there but My advice is, find another company

Do not use this company

So infuriated with this company. They are the worst. Made payment then called because I've seen they hadn't taken it out of my account, the automated system said I had mad a payment on a such date. Then when trying to make my next month's payments it shows up the last payment didn't post all because my checking account number was off by a number. They then posted a late payment on my credit. Wich I disputed because they have the calls for when I called and tried to make a payment. My credit went down after and they won't make it right even if they have proof that I tried mking a payment. Im Done with this company. Never have I ever gave a late payment and they never took that in consideration. I agree if I didn't make the payment then do what you have to do. But I did... and the fact that they have a 1.3 rating but on credit Karma they have a 4.0 that's fishy. People don't use this company they are awful just be aware.

My original lender sold my loan to Freedom Mortgage and gave them incorrect information. I submitted the correct closing documents to Freedom Mortgage as soon as I realized a mistake had been made. Freedom mortgage ignored multiple requests to correct my loan information even after they had been given proof of the correct information multiple times. These requests went completely ignored and they destroyed my credit based on the erroneous information. I called their customer service department many many times, the agents were always friendly, but completely useless since they only had the most basic loan information and had no way to actually help me or to refer me to the right department. Attempts to speak to someone who could actually help always just lead back to the same customer service people who had not been able to help me any of the other 20+ times I had called them over several months.

I did eventually figure out that you can get a response by filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at https://www.consumerfinance.gov/. This finally got some amount of resolution, but not all. The individual who responds to those complaints (Joseph Pompetti, Director of Customer Service) only does so in writing and his letters are rude, unapologetic and condescending. They provide no way to speak to him or anyone else outside of the front line customer service department. Information attached to help clarify was typically just copies of previous letters and new spreadsheets with accounting that doesn't match what is shown on the Freedom Mortgage Loan Servicing website.

They say on their website that customer satisfaction is important but it's not at all. They could care less about their customers' satisfaction. I began this process with the intention of working with Freedom Mortgage to resolve my loan issues since I did recognize that the original errors were not created by them, however there complete disregard for me as a person and a customer is deplorable. Even after this awful experience with them, I would like nothing more than to get over it and move on but the long term impact on my credit is unforgivable and they refuse to correct it. So be warned, this company cannot be trusted.

Our neighborhood has deteriorated over the last 3 years, so my wife and I decided to buy a home in a nicer neighborhood and turn our current home into a rental. Freedom Mortgage bought the mortgage on our current home about 6 months ago, so we figured a new mortgage with them would be an easy process. We were wrong. So very wrong.

From the beginning we have been asked several times to provide the same documents (tax returns, pay stubs, employment verification, sales contract, etc.) It seems that as the mortgage application moves from 1 step to another, it also moves from 1 department to another, WITHOUT the documents we send them. So, we have sent them the same documents 4 times, each time to be told "We don't have such and such documents, can you send it again?"

Their online document delivery/signature system doesn't work, and they can't figure out how to make it work for more than one applicant, so they shipped our application to us overnight for signatures, except they sent it to the wrong address. We got it 3 days later when a neighbor that lives a block away brought it to us, after he opened it. These are documents with our social security numbers and other personal identification information on them! Did I mention our neighborhood isn't the greatest anymore? Thanks to their mistake we now have to place a fraud alert on our credit reports.

They have refused to give us an accurate estimate of closing costs and have repeatedly told us we will have to pay items that the VA and our state do not allow lenders to charge the buyers. They are also telling us we need to pay into escrow at closing the current property tax bill, due in 2 months, that is for last year's taxes, and enough to cover taxes for this year prior to closing. It is not the buyer's responsibility to pay property taxes for a time period before they purchased the home, it is the seller's responsibility to pay the taxes for the time they owned the home.

Now, 3 days before we were scheduled to close, their agent sent an email stating we will not be able to close on time because they don't understand the documents we provided that prove our income and employment. What's hard to understand about the last 4 years' income tax returns and last 4 months' pay stubs? They now want written and signed statements from us explaining so-called discrepancies in our taxes and pay stubs. I've explained in an email that the so-called discrepancies don't exist and are a result of their mathematical errors, but they still want written and signed explanations. I suspect this is an effort on their part to delay closing since they haven't been able to calculate actual closing costs and provide us with the Closing Disclosure that is required by law no later than 3 days prior to closing.

Now, because of their incompetence and unprofessional behavior, we have to ask the seller for an extension of the sales contract, and hope the seller doesn't object, or we lose the house.

So far, everyone we have dealt with at Freedom Mortgage has demonstrated an absolute lack of knowledge, competence and professionalism. I would not recommend this company to anyone I know. In fact, I've told everyone I know to avoid this company like the plague!

I've been with Freedom Mortgage for 2 years and have recently decided to start using their website to access my information (I have not needed to up until recently when I decided to go paperless). After two weeks of attempting to login myself and through a customer service representative I finally get Pamela (id#3883) who informs me in a not so nice tone that their website is not compatible with Apple computers. She stated that their was nothing they could to help me! She refused to give me another solution. Logic begs to ask: What about the other hundreds or thousands of customers who only have an Apple computer? Their marketing slogan should then declare: We will only service those individuals who boycott Apple! -Since they know their website was setup this way.
