“Flightradar24 is a must for Av Geeks!”

Kushaal S.
5/16/23

Flightradar24 is honestly one of the best flight trackers I have ever seen. Its real time flight data, accurate info etc makes it look very professional. It has an extremely easy user interface, where if you want to track a flight anywhere in the world, just click on it and you will get tons of information about the flight type, altitude etc. The best part is, IT IS FREE!. This is an absolute must-use for Av Geeks like me and I have immense respect for the people that made this. Thanks for reading this review and have a good day!.

“Wrong data”

We used the data to make an estimate of when a flight would arrive, but the data on the website didn't match our arrival date. Annoying.

Tip for consumers:
If you want to spot rare planes than always go to the "most tracked flights" section. There you will find unusual routes, aircraft etc.

I have never used this kind of app before so I wasn't sure if it would help me get the answers I really need right now. It has been a lot of trouble trying to sort through my current circumstances, like a bog, coupled with not knowing how to proceed. That is when I learned of apps like this and decided to start a trial. I began using the trial and I did find some revealing things, but it was not enough because there is missing data. I understand the data cannot always be provided but I wanted to ask someone who knows more about the laws/registrations/processes, etc... because I know that the information I need is somewhere. I just need to know where to look and how to proceed. I ended my trial because I couldn't see paying this much money for something that is not giving me the information I need, but when looking back over the screencaps, I noticed something that caused me to want to learn more. I thought if I could use what I saw to follow through in some way, that THAT would be very worthwhile for what I am going to need this information for... so I went to flightradar24's twitter where the twitter account manager was answering questions over time about the functions of the app. I made an inquiry tagging flightradar because it was a simple question at first that would let me know whether or not I needed to seek an additional service and what type, but I received no answer. Someone who made an inquiry after me, DID receive and answer so the twitter account manager is clearly present and engaging with with customers... just not ME. Mine was clearly passed up and just left there like a piece of trash someone forgot to throw away. I really needed some help. I'm not joking. I realize no one cares and no one thinks anyone else's concerns could ever be real or serious, but your response or lack thereof to someone's concern after providing them with CC information can because really important, for those who could not figure that out by themselves. I really need these answers and do not a whole lot of resources at my disposal to get those answers, but flightradar seems to be run by yet another group of people who no longer see the point in honoring what they say, and instead are more inclined to recoil when they smell money. In my inquiry I stated (and this was a mistake) "For what cost can I obtain this information?"... Big mistake on my part. What it got me was IGNORED. I'm not a stupid person, but I did not think the mere mention of money would invoke those shady primordial knee-jerk tendencies to with-hold, extract, play-upon and just be downright rude to someone who you know needed help! Yet another young company with no clue as to what honorable behavior is. Flightradar24 didn't want to assist ME with my inquiry because I had just ended my trial. They didn't say it but why else would they be helping other people right in front of my face, but not me? It was a simple question about the meaning of something on the app. Obviously these people do not think very seriously of my reason for needing this information, partnered with the fact that they certainly cannot expect people to shell out this much money at the end of a seven day trial if they cannot figure out how it is going to be useful for them! That is what the trial is for! That is why you need to give customer service DURING the trial. How do you think you are going to get blood from a stone without even giving me any reason to pay for your service? NOT a good strategy but some people's brain's collapse under the weight of their own financial insecurities. I would advise anyone looking for this type of app to TRY ANOTHER APP that may have people working for the company who do not play silly, money grubbing games. I don't know if others are better but it's worth a shot. I have no intention of putting up with yet more people who cannot honor what they say. You OFFERED the trial. HONOR IT. Now check this out, as I am sitting here trying to review this, it is asking me for proof of purchase under threat of my review being filtered out. I don't NEED a proof of purchase to talk about my experience with this company BECAUSE YOU OFFERED A TRIAL. Why is this so freaking hard for some people to understand? If you don't like the fact that people sign up but then end the trial, it is because you know that some people only want to use it for a SHORT WHILE because it does not involve their work, so let them use crucial key features that they need for LESS MONEY for a shorter period instead of the all or nothing TRIAL! It's not MY FAUL that YOU can't fix your own unfortunate processes that cause YOU to not get paid as much as you want to get paid. What a bunch of jerks! Yet ANOTHER bunch of JERKS! Did you really think you would be able to IGNORE the full purchase price out of me, or was it just punishment for me being one of those terrible, no-wealth-having people? If you had a button with an option to get full feature, for like a week, maybe a month... I would have gladly paid with no trial, so you just go assume what you want. As for you, I don't need to assume what YOU will do when someone needs YOUR help. Now I know. I will calm down and forget when I get good and ready but I'll never un-know how some people deal. DIRTY.

Tip for consumers:
I'm sure it's fine if you are just like them, opportunistic and not one to honor your word.
Then I'm sure you'll get along just fine with them.

I can certainly live with the ads on the free version but the app has taken it to a new level... I use this app occasionally to track in-flight emergencies on aircraft coming into major airports. The last thing I need while this is happening is to touch the screen, and have a stupid game ad pop up and hijack my audio as well as the app itself... For something as professional as this is supposed to be, you would think a game ad showing some child's play would be the last thing they would throw at you... Sort of makes me feel like they're holding me hostage to make a purchase... Very irritating... Moving on from the app

If you are bored and aviation interests you, you can see local flights around the world! Flightradar24 will tell you a lot about the flight, which I find very fun. If I had one complaint it's only that other information is locked behind a paywall, but it's understandable since the website needs money. You can also see most flights near your local airport! Very fun service!

I live in a part of a city that is located in an international airport's final approach range, so I typically see commercial airlines just as they are in their landing stage. This is what lead me to this site in 2016 and I've been using it on a monthly basis since then.

This site is very informative on aircrafts. They display their path, their departure and destinations. They also display the aircraft type, the year of manufacture, and even the altitude. This site not only covers commercial flights, but private planes, helicopters, military aircrafts, weather balloons, ect.

I've gotten so fascinated with this site and tracking aircrafts all over the world that I've bought an annual subscription from them to gain more privileges, and it holds up even better than the free version. The subscription allows you to see the live tracking in radar view. It also shows information on volcanic activity around the world and allows you to access the map in different layouts, including live weather. There is also a feature that allows you to see the flight in 3D view and see the outside layout of the aircraft, although this usually works on commercial flights only.

Very fast, quality service, all questions are answered clearly and clearly. The prices, by far, are among the lowest on the market and I liked the product, very high quality.

As someone who loves flying, FlightRadar 24 is one of my favorite apps and websites. I don't strictly need it as such, but seeing what's around me is addictive.

If you take commercial flights I guess it's a useful service, but that's not the way I use it. I like to know what's in the air around me. The augmented reality thing works great for that I can point my phone at a plane in the sky and it overlays everything I could want to know about it which is almost everything except the pilot's name!

It's worth paying for the lowest tier to get rid of the ads and to be able to set some alerts. You also get the 3D view which is like a flight simulator (you need a decent internet connection though, otherwise the landscape loads too slowly). If you want the top tier it becomes prohibitively expensive. Apparently if you set up your own station to contribute flight data you can get the top tier for free, but that's a bit beyond me.

Overall, a highly addictive and useful app.

I love Flight Radar. You need a decent amount of memory to be able to display it properly though.
Flight radar shows you all the planes in the air meaning that if you know someone flying you can watch their plane leave, travel and then land. You can see the altitude and location of planes and it's quite interesting when there are conditions such as snow as you can see the planes circling round waiting for airports to open.
Okay, it may seem sad to some of you but it is worth a look, believe me!

I am not a huge fan of flying, to be honest, but because of my job, I was forced to take a plane. And this app/service idk radar xD helped me. When you look on small yellow planes you just think that you are not alone and everything is fine and nobody's falling. So it helped me to spent my time in the line to the plane relaxed. Mostly.

Why does FlightRadar24 keep showing K35R flying into Iran? Other than that, the site is great. Bravo
