“Epicurious.Com Website Reviews”

Anastasia B.
4/23/18

I have turned to Epicurious for years whenever I have needed a reliable website for recipes. They offer a huge variety of recipes that are clearly written and are easy to follow. Additionally, the site offers a wide variety of food-centric commentary that I find useful. I also love all of the stellar illustrations that the site uses. This is a thinking cook's website, one that is reliable, easy to navigate, and that deserves 5 stars, without question.

“Can't view recipes even after signing in”

Shayna D.
2/26/22

Even after being required to create an account to view the recipes, it is a huge hassle to even deal with the website. It keeps signing me out, skipping the recipes and going straight to the reviews, giving me ads, or refreshing the page without my permission so I have to start all over. To top it all off, there is no "help" section or a way to contact the administrator about this issue. Really disappointing, considering they have a huge arsenal of great recipes on their site.

I used epicurious for years, very happily. Great site. I have over 400 recipes saved on Epicurious. Recently, it decided to charge for the site. Fine. It was worth paying for this. So I paid. I still can't get on. I paid again- still I get a message every time to sign in. This is the worst. I can't get a live person to answer my concerns. I'll just use the NYT cooking site and Cook's Illustrated. Sorry to lose all those recipes I saved on Epicurious, but oh well.

They've not erased obscene Chicken Tikka recipe reviews even though they are well aware of them. Plus their app and website are a disaster. One will say I'm logging in, the other will tell me I don't have an account.

Have no idea why this company is still operating. Online is Not free after a few articles to read. Who actually pays?

Tip for consumers:
I am trying to review online epicurious. What the heck is this review about shipping & refund. Not buying or paying anything. Just need a recipe

I'm sorry but I google recipes all the time and don't get charged for them. If Epicurious feels the need to start charging me now to view recipes on their site, I have lots of other options out there where I don't need to pay. Dumb move on your part. Bye bye.

Since Epicurious began charging, recipes are slow to load. Now I can't log in. The system does not recognize me because I subscribed via Applepay. Multiple class to Epicurious have not helped at all. They tell me it's Applepay's fault.

All of the sudden, after years of loving Epicurious and telling everyone about it, I can't use it anymore. I don't see how to save or print recipes. When I go to my recipe box, it's no longer separated into categories and I have to go through 149 recipes to get to the second-to-last one I need. What happened? Am I not seeing something?

Deplorable site attempting to control society with recipes they approve of! Enough is enough. I will decide for myself what i cook not a recipe site. It became popular and decides to control our beef intake! Socialism at its best!

I've loved Epicurious for years, and have saved 100s of recipes. Since it was sold to Gourmet, the site now costs $50 to use AND has become virtually unusable. The search filters are limited and the site glitches constantly. I've lost patience and have canceled my subscription. The NYT recipe site is superior.

Use this site all the time. Great for food or drinks and very quick. Other positives include reader reviews with suggestions for tweaking recipes and pictures of finished recipes. Love this site.

Whenever I have an ingredient in the refrigerator and want to make a meal of it, I plug it into Epicurious.com and always find a great recipe. One of the best parts of it is reading the recipe reviews so you can find what other people have added to or subtracted from the recipe to improve it.
