“EHost is a Total Scam.”

I am going to tell you step by step. 1: you buy a domain from ehost and you will be charge by Billing with your credit card. 2: Just Check the domain that you buy with another Hosting service. Such as godaddy.com, you will get that the domain is still available for sale. 3. you are not able to do anything in your cPanel. They said to send us the Scan copy of your credit card and Passport. '' Only the Government and security agencies have this right to ask these documents '' 4. You will ask to cancel the subscription and money back. This is not possible. They scam you... Solution: godaddy.com, 000webs.com, webs.com, weebly.com are trusted. I work with them. I think this is helpful for you. I don't want you to be victim. Say good bye to ehost.com scammers.

This company really sucks big time. Sign up for domains and hosting etc but nothing. But they took the money first thing. Service stinks bigger time. They don't seem to even know what they are doing there. Extremely long wait time for technical support. THEY OBVIOUSLY does not know the hosting or domain business. Or industry. Stick with other companies.

I have had my website with eHost for 2.5 years. They have charged me bogus charges of which they would not refund me. They tell me I have registered my domain name twice, it was because they charged me a second time for the name 6 months after I had purchased it. They charged me for "domain privacy", without asking me if I wanted it. That took many phone calls to have removed and refunded. Once my subscription is terming, I will be moving to Go Daddy who seems MUCH more reuputable. Stay away from eHost for your own good.

Tip for consumers:
One Pro - Managing design of website is easy. the rest is all bad, they abuse your credit card.

Awful! 1) Was not expecting to be charged full price but rather a monthly payment. No biggie but would have liked it to be disclosed 2) next I signed up for the 36 month term for $2.75 (50% off promo) however when my final receipt came, I was overcharged when I broke it down and it was only for 24 months. They also added a fee for SiteLock which I did not agree to. I cancelled my order completely. Beware! Not honest!

3 weeks ago, my email setup outlook 2003 was rejected by ehost. They elevated the problem to a higher tech that solved the problem 2 days later. This has occurred again, password rejected by server and numbnuts wants all of the emails changed from pop3 ti imap, or, deleted and reinstalled, or... well i do not work for them. This is not a good place to host your web site if you would like to have email access with microsoft outlook.

I subscribed on 2/24/17, cancelled immediately, because eHost pushed me into two plans which I did not intend to have. Until now my refund of about $200 has not been made, an unjust enrichment. I am to complain to ICANN, then to CA Consumer Protection, before I file my small claims. Terrible thing about eHost, when I emailed my request, they gave me ticket number, and when I followed up the issue they issued me another ticket number, then each follow up generates another ticket number, ad nauseam.

They have deceitful practices. I cancelled 2 years ago 10 days after starting with them because I hated their services. It just plain sucked. 2 years later, I get notice that they billed my PayPal account for a 2 year subscription. If I cancelled 2 years ago then WTF are they billing me for something I didn't want. They did not delete my account, and kept my banking records on file. Don't use them.

Bought a 2 year package for £100 (50% discount) - then they hosted my website OK for six months - then they advise me that unless they host my domain name they won't host my website - so withdrew their service. Basically they stole £75 from me. Now refuse to engage on the subject and ignore my emails. If they were in the UK, I would be happy to spend the money to take them to county court, but since they are pretty much immune in the US, little I can do.

Big mistake to go with them. They have charges for everything, and they go into your pay pal account claiming they are a recurring account, which means they can take money out of your pay pal account monthly. They are not an American company; they are hard to understand, but one thing is for sure, they are out for your money.

What a horrible company. I signed up for 3 yrs only got 2, they blamed it on PayPal; then they said they cancelled it and didn't charge my PayPal but they lied because they did charge my PayPal and I had to file a unauthorization claim. Many more problems than I'm writing about, but I've wasted enough of my time. This company is either dishonest & fraudulent or extremely incompetent. BUYER BEWARE!

Customer support is absolutely the worse. I have spent more time on hold than talking to someone. When I went to cancel redundant add ons they actually cancelled two of my entire websites! I am fed up with eHost. I have been hung up on and have had help tickets created that have never been responded to. I've never spoken to an actual native english speaker. I have currently, as I write this, been on hold for 20 minutes. DONE.

£2.75 per month the website said. £100.05 was what came off my Paypal account. I sent an immediate e-mail to cancel. 3 days later I've still had no refund, no response and no sign of a domain name or an e-mail account. I've contacted Paypal for a refund but please don't touch this company with a barge pole.

This company is a FRAUD. Stay away from this. They have the worst customer service and will continue to charge your credit card even if you unsubscribe with them already. Such a shame.

... this would be it!

Awful from start to finish, they grab your money then ignore you.

Hosting renewal fees grabbed a month early with no warning...

Be careful what you click in their emails, a "click here for more" was actually a buy now link and resulted in my card being debited 116.79!

Requests for billing support are ignored

AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COST!

I was told I would receive a refund after finding their ftp services to be poorly configured and a waste of time. I am a software developer by the way - I have worked with numerous hosting providers during my career and never had as many issues. As a service it is restricted and will keep you from doing anything beyond initial setup. As a company they will charge in any crooked backwards way they can manage. Save yourself and benefit from my experience - your better off anywhere else.

I paid for my website and a few extra options about a couple months ago, I started editing my site about two weeks ago and I have had nothing but issues. The site builder is pretty easy to use but the customer service absolutely SUCKS! You can't even understand what they say. Now, I'm locked in for 2 years with a service that has constant technical problems. They know you already paid them so they treat you like a piece of crap. I haven't been able to upload pictures to my site for two days now, they tell me they are working on it... SMMFH... :(

I subscribed, but then I found out they did not offer domain transfers, so I cancelled. Talking to a person took 20 minutes wait time. I am constantly being spammed with offers, as well as illegal phone calls. They still have not released my selected domain back to the public pool. I see that they still charged my credit card, so I have to fight that.

At first I thought they were okay cause they were cheap but then I got charged fees after contacting support and they never told me I had to pay those fees before but fine. Next thing I know they kept playing with my cron job and changing the permissions on my files so then others were able to then hack into my system.

Not recommended.

I signed up to ehost for a year inclusive of a free email account. I recently had clients contacting me saying that emails to my account kept bouncing back. Having checked my account with ehost I found that my entire account had been cancelled! Upon contacting ehost regarding this, I was told that I had deleted my own account and that it could not be reinstated!?! Absolute rubbish, has been very costly in terms of time and effort! Have now gone with godaddy instead!

I ordered hosting on a monthly basis to test their server performance and it took me less than a week to figure out it sucked big time! Constant sql server outages... slow slow loadtime... awful. I asked them for cancelation - not a refund, since in their user interface there is no option to cancel. But they keep ignoring every single ticket, email and keep charging me every month. That is a PURE THEFT! Stay away from them

Was doing fine and then my account was cancelled without my permission. They refunded me 79.20 and then wanted 191.68 to reinstate! Completely fraudulent invoices/billing with zero helpfulness through chat, email and phone. People barely speak english and are apparently trained to commit crimes against the public who have limited patience with the horrible support.

I bought a 4 year plan from ehost in 2015. I was pleased with the service for the first year. However, with no warning they decided to cancel my domain. So for several months my client was without a website and I had no idea until his clients started complaining they couldn't reach the site. I contacted ehost and they assured me the site would be back up in 24 - 48 hours (I never did get a good explanation why it was down in the first place). A month goes by and nothing! So then I started the dreaded email ticket trail that I've read in other reviews. They won't refund my money even though they failed to provide a service and now in order to get my domain, they are charging me another $15. Total scam and I would sue them in small claims if I knew who to talk to for all the time and money wasted dealing with them. Do NOT host with this company!

So many good reviews at least 3 pages on google. But I really think these are all created by the company. It takes a while to get a review from a real person online. And this is no surprise since what they do is websites. And they make up a whole mess of them to give them good reviews. And that's all that comes up on google for at least 3 or 4 pages. DO NOT USE E HOST IT IS A SCAM PLAIN AND SIMPLE

They said the domain name would be free for life when I signed up. A year later they sent an email stating they would shut down my site if I didn't pay to renew my domain name. F**k these guys!
