“Fools who don't have Shaun Berry as their agent gave all the 1-star reviews.”

2/6/24

Just type, "Shaun Berry amerisave" and he will make your application look as good as he can. It costs $750 for him to prep everything and pay for the govt appraisal of your property. He will send your application to the underwriter looking good w/a current legal appraisal. He will tell you what to expect from the underwriter's team of loan processors. The loan processor is actually a cop who thinks everyone is a liar. She has power over your amerisave agent, she does private investigations and personal judgements of you. She tells the underwriters what to do,. And her words are orders for my amerisave agent. Me and amerisave with Shaun Berry have gone to bat against the processors 3 times. We hit 2 home runs and struck out once. I am just happy to get an honest swing each time and know that my amerisave teammates did their best. I felt sad for my agent when my christmas refi failed last month. I felt like I stole his christmas bonus. The 1st loan which was conventional failed because of a property tax delinquncy foreclosure on a garbage property in 2019. Barry then tried thru FHA and made a second attempt at no charge. Don't blame Amerisave if you're a long-term unemployed felon who has lots of cash in the bank. That loan processor can sniff you out no matter how pretty amerisave makes your application look. If you're qualified,. Shaun B will send you current charts of loan options that if studied will help you understand how to make the best gamble on your different loan options. He will present you as best he can to the billionaires who lend money. He will navigate you thru the underwriter cops. But he is not God and sometimes you will lose your $750 dollar gamble, but when you score, you score big. Here's a 2017 photo of my crappy tri-plex house. 1957 construction w/no improvements. Yet fully remodeled with no permits! SF Bay views, was worth $1.15 million 2018-2020, December 2023 FHA appraisal $780,000! Upstairs flat rented at $2511. Two downstairs units occupied by owners. Under rent control! TWo foUr TwO tHrEe columbia blvd, please make a $million dollar offer that I can't say no to.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of applying for a loan - actually assisted my elderly mom - and the loan advisor walked us through the process and requested a $500 lock down fee during that process. Well, after we were transferred to the loan processor we decided that we no longer wanted to continue. Reason being was that the loan processor was not only rude and short with us, she also requested over 15 documents that were too much trouble and to us not worth the time involved. So we wanted to stop the process. Well guess who wouldn't refund the $500. They did absolutley NOTHING for us and refuse to return my mom's money. This company can go to hell.

They tell you anything to get you to sign papers. Brian, our loan officer, said if you give me a $500 fee this is just in case we have to have an appraisal on your house, if we don't need the appraisal you will get your money back and if you change your mind or do not get approved you will get the money back because you did not do an appraisal. Two days later, after discussing it, we decided the loan was not for us so we contacted Brian and he said oh no you can not get your money back, that is a Lock Fee Agreement and he sent us a paper that I had never seen that said it was a lock fee and it was non refundable. We did not sign this agreement and never saw it. Be very cautious about dealing with this company.

We have people out of state doing mortgages. All they are wanting is for you to sign a documents to collect their $500.00 fee, which is none refundable. They give you a list of documents to be provided but they never get done with the requested paper work. There are E-mails from these folks stated for the same paperwork you already provided. No communications with the gentleman that accepted your application. He has gone on to accept more applicants. This is a scam!
Deal with your local Banks instead of getting scammed by these People!

Underwriters are constantly changing the goal posts and asking for more docs, just delay, delay, delay. Communication is non existent from my loan officer and i am having to constantly chase them for information. I don't know if Amerisave has a funding issue or if its staff are just completely incompetent.
For the record I have an excellent credit score and good income with lots of equity in my property, there is no reason to hold the loan up this long.

Good evening my name is Lynette Lewis. I applied for a loan with your company. I was approved.

Approximately 2 weeks ago William B called me and told me that my loan was denied.

I sent several emails requesting speak with a loan manager.

William said he would ask his manager to call me. It's been over a week and no call or email.

At this point please just send me the denial letter.

Thank you

My loan officer was very unresponsive, I'm not sure if he was really even working most of the time. Delay after delay, had to resubmit documents multiple times. Tried calling his manager who never called me back, also called customer service, that was a joke too. Customer service just puts in a request for the manager to call you, but they never did. Save yourself the headache, especially when time is of the essence and money is on the line.

Should have ignored the initial sales pitch. Too much documentation (never had to go through anything like this before), advised 3.25% was good due to no points--now I know that's not true. Keep asking for more documents that make no sense. Felt like it was bait and switch experience. Just all around bad and here our credit score is well over 800. Want to rescind but need to know if there are costs attached. Do not go with AmeriSave. We have been put through hell.

What a clown show! I had a straight forward re-fi with a LTV ratio of 28% and more than adequate income from a job Ive been at 16 years. They would have made 600k if I had defaulted. The originator left the job- leaving me with an idiotic processor that requested the same documents over and over again. Then had the audacity to ask me for my employers tax returns. I kid you not. Needless to say- Im three months in and am losing my much lower rate. Avoid this clown car at all costs.

While my loan did, eventually, get approved and funded, it took three and a half months. At least two of that was due to idiocy and incompetence on the part of the title company AND poor communications internal to Amerisave, as well as poor communications to me.
Had they communicated more fully, I could have resolved the issues sooner. And yes it was me, digging and calling and harassing, that finally got the issues resolved.

If you have the time and the will to beat them, constantly, then you can get a good rate. Otherwise, go somewhere else.

Veterans stay away from this Company, they lure you in with false promises, I cancelled a VA Home loan application, due to the fact my house is in need of repairs, after telling 3 people the shape my house was in they continued with the loan, even though it wouldn't pass a VA home inspection and charged me for a BS appraisal, then looking at the loan papers, the points and closing were insane, I'm filing a report to the Department of Veterans Affairs about this company

Lynn Ong is a very knowledgeable, kind, attentive person to have working for you when trying to navigate the stormy seas of getting a loan. She made a stressful time for us much more bearable and explained things in a way we could understand. Lynn was always very prompt at getting back to us when we had questions and she guided us through all the many steps that are needed when trying to obtain a loan. I am very pleased with her performance and will definitely use her again if needed.

My husband and I were seeking a mortgage to refinance our home. We have stellar credit, no debt. If you want a total waste of your time, AmeriWrong is for you! We started the application process in August. It is now January 30th. We were bounced around from one loan officer to another because their company can't hold onto their employees. Never... I say never join in a contractual basis with this company.

Awhile back I posted a negative review of Amerisave. They had not paid my county taxes at the time and I had spoken with someone that was less than helpful regarding this. The issue has since been resolved and they agreed to pay the late fees. Also in hindsight while there were other things that didn't please me, I can understand that all mtg companies are swamped at this time and I'll attribute the delays etc. to that fact. All things considered, even with basically only social security income to qualify me, they did get the job done and I got better rate. You'll be OK choosing Amerisave.

We got our AmeriSave Mortgage loan about five years ago. It was a fantastic process. Quick and painless as mortgages go. Thing have gone generally well but if you ever have issues that is where the trouble starts. In this case we decided to make an extra payment and send the payment in as usual using the provided envelope and sent it in the mail. We noticed a few weeks later that while the check had been cashed the credit had not shown up on our mortgage account. We called and they could not find the payment and asked us to email the service department. We email the service department with copies of the deposit and proof of cash from the bank. We get a letter back a week later saying "we are researching the situation." The fact is we are not months into missing a payment and the service consists of we might get back to you someday. I pointed out that if I skipped a payment they would not be so understanding but apparently the demand for patience only travels one direction in this relationship. Multiple calls to the service center have resulted in the response of "I see an open ticket, you will just have to wait for an answer."

Tip for consumers:
Use only electronic payment types.

They are a lier, it's a wasting time. I was trying to get cash out refinance, first they gave me hope and they seem nice when they talk but they are evil! Specially, the woman I work with, her name is ( SHERRICO JESKA), she's a liar. After make me wait 5 month and make me paid appraisal money($600)before they do anything. And finally, they denied the loan. I wish, I had read the reviews first. When I paid the appraisal money, they said, if Im not approved, I will get the appraisal money back, but after they denied they ignore me... to me they trying to steal my money.

What's the definition of insanity? That describes my experience with Ameriwaster. I've wasted my time, energy and money on them. They requested the same documents over and over like many others. They then keep moving the goalposts like many others. I was even called last Friday with what the processor (T.T) said a good news Friday call claiming we were all set and would close a week later or so. They just needed one more document from our Edward Jones profile. I called EJ and we had 7 minutes until they closed. We sprint across town to get those papers! Made it with one minute to spare! Excited it was finally over only to hear on Tuesday they couldn't accept it since my Wife's OT was consistent for 2 years. Just a year! Really? We came all this way just to learn that. Something like that should have been discovered two and a half months ago. Now after this bad taste left in our mouths we will wait for better rates again. It's obviously a sign this isn't the time. It's also a sign to next time pick a real company not Ameriwaster.

Next time we need to spend more time researching a company so we don’t waste a lot of time.

They will offer you a better rate than anyone else, charge you a $500 non refundable fee, then ignore your emails for weeks. Once rate goes up, they will tell you that you need to pay them $10,000 for them to honor the rate they initially offered. None of their initial disclosures are binding so they can do this scam in total impunity. I hope my loss is your gain, and that you will select a real mortgage company for your refinance needs.

Horrible experience, My opinion stay away at all cost. Sent them all my personal information for processing which to be honest I regret. More than 80 days past with no rate lock. Loan Originator keeps answering you with the same answers as if they buy time with hopes that the rate goes on their favor. Now I carry a hard pull on my credit which has left me outside the 45 day window in applying with a new lender and not being considered as a 1 hard pull hit.

Dealing with Amerisave, and their loan officer Andrew Torres, was the worst mortgage experience that I have ever had. If you want a timely loan process, than go elsewhere! Heck, you would be lucky if they even answer a question via email (because they will not answer their phone). Andrew was very misleading, and after you pay the application fee... poof! They disappear. I would never suggest even thinking about using Amerisave.

do not even think about using Amerisave, because you will definitely regret it!
