I paid $40 for a review of a one page query letter. I asked for a specific reviewer by name but I was told that person was booked and Jess Dallow would give my review. When I got the review back it was vague and basically just said I needed The Who, what, where, when, why of my story, but I thought most of that was in my query. I asked if I could make the suggested changes and resubmit. They sent me a reply that did not answer my question. It said, "please find the notes attached." It was the same original review. Then I wrote back "that doesn't answer my question. Does that mean the answer is no?" Then I received a reply that said, "I don't work on weekends. That is why you didn't get a reply." It was rude and still didn't answer my question. Finally I got a reply from Sue that said "you will have to pay again, but you can resubmit." So basically they don't help you fix your query. They write a brief comment and it's up to you to figure out how to fix it, but that is the entire reason I was using their service because I don't know how to fix it and make a decent query. So basically I'm back where I started.
