I wanted to find a good apartment building to live in near the Chevy Chase DC area. From the outside the Kenmore apts look ok but after the review I saw on it by a former tenant there I would never move there. Fortunately I found an Apartment Bldg. Nearby called The La Reine Apts across the street (with a work out room downstairs and far less on rent) and will be talking to them soon about moving there. Thank you very much for giving a new person like me in DC a heads up about good and bad apartments to live in! Job well done! Chris

The Kenmore Apartments is by far the worst apartment building I have ever lived in. Owned by Washington Real Estate Investment Trust (WRIT). They care about nothing when it comes to the tenants needs and couldn't care less about legitimate complaints from tenants, such as water leaks (more like minor floods), roaches and mice (rats) roam around inside and outside of the building, A/C hardly ever works, no security, cars and bicycles stolen frequently in a badly maintained parking lot, car tires slashed almost every week and much more, and yet they are Brazen in charging Unbelievably Sky High Rents! The Executive Officer and President of WRIT is Paul T. McDermott a left over failure and former Vice President of Freddie Mac (In charge of the money) who along with Fannie May Bilked The US Gov't and it's Tax Payers out of Billions! BOZZUTO Management an underling Management Company - in name only- contracted by WRIT is a Total Joke as they Do Nothing! All totally Incompetent in their own right. I am glad I left the Horrible Decaying Kenmore Apartments when I did and Do Not recommend Anyone to live in such a Horrible Place Ever!
