“Great Price, and all worked out perfect”

Used Whatscheaper to purchase a ticket to Boston for St Patricks Day event! The flight going was completely sold out, and I was glad I used Whatscheaper because they preassigned our seats! My wife and i sat next to each other whereas at least 2 other couples that we saw were separated! Everything went as planned and no hiccups. We got a good deal on there site and it was easy to use. I will use them again in the future!

I gave it one star because I at least have a ticket. It took several days to get confirmation. You think you paid the price of the ticket but when I checked my credit card statement they had another $30.00 charge for travel assistance! Don't use. Fraud.

Our website is UNBIASED, it finds the best deals available on ANY airline we represent. Unlike dealing directly with an airline website where your given their fare only (which could be hundreds of dollars higher then another airline). Our website is simple to use, and fully discloses our fees! THIS REVIEWER was given the best fare available, which included our fee as disclosed on our site, and they agreed to it and purchased their ticket! THEY WERE NEVER CHARGED MORE THEN THE AGREED PRICE! They were sent an acknowledgement email IMMEDIATELY at they time they purchased, and a confirmation email shortly there after! Both emails included the price they agreed to online. This review is flawed saying they were charged an additional fee. I suggest this person goes back and looks at price THEY SELECTED online and agreed to purchase, and then compares that to the amount appearing on their credit card statement. They will see that its EXACTLY the amount they agreed too! This review should be taken down, as it includes erroneous statements and untrue remarks. Whatscheaper.com is one of the easiest sites to use and never charges more then the price agreed to online!

I booked my flight 2 days ago and then they said they were going to send me my confirmation number which they never sent, so I called the airline and they sent me my comformation number, then later on the day at 12midnight the travel agents called me saying that my booking is cancelled because I didn't answer the phone and that I will get a refund in 14 days that's bull$#*! so basically they took they fee out for free.#Scam #Scam #Scam don't use this website to book a flight People!

Josh - We are sorry to hear you are upset about this situation. We have acted responsibly and in a caring way in order to accommodate your travel needs. Responsibility is a two way street, which means that you, like all our customers, benefit from responding when asked.

In an effort to prevent fraud, like most online companies, we verify your credit card details. Unfortunately, you must bank with an institution that does not verify (AVS) details online. We therefore called you to try to get a conference call with your bank. Your voicemail is Generic and doesn't even have your name.

We left you a VM and did not hear back from you. We became suspicious that this was Fraud.
After giving you all day to call us back so we canceled the booking and left you another VM advising you of such.

Its unfortunate that you have given us such a bad review, when all we were trying to do was avoid fraud, and you did not get back to us.

Had you got back to us we would have verified the CC details and processed the transaction.

I accidentally pushed the wrong date for my reservation, easy to do when you are checking multiple flights. I emailed and called right away. Within 15 minutes I got a call saying they would cancel my flights no problem. The guy also was kind enough to tell me that changing my flight to the correct date would actually be more money. I really appreciated his honesty. I didn't end up going with whatscheaper mostly because spirit airlines ends up charging a lot of money for bags, etc. But I will consider using them in the future.

Thought I was going to JetBlue site but ended up on their site. Booked a flight to Boston that was four days away. They did not provided me with a confirmation number. Emailed several times and they respond once saying to checked my junk mail. I ended up calling JetBlue for them to checked so see I had a flight booked with their airline. After about 30 minutes they were able to locate my booking. Stay away from this site. They also charged a $35 booking fee.

It's the holidays and with a million things happening at once, I inadvertently purchased the wrong flight option. Whatscheaper immediately corrected my issue and it took off the extra pressure of worrying about my families scheduled flights. I plan on bookmarking this company and referring my friends due to their professionalism and quick assistance! Thank you Whatscheaper. Glenda Burrell

I searched for Kayak.com, clicked on a link that said it was. I entered my flight data. "What's Cheaper.com" fare came up and it looked good, I purchased it and trip
Insurance.
They sent me an email confirmation/itinerary: THIS WOULD NOT PRINT. I tried to copy the email; the booking #, flight# and dollar amounts would not highlight or copy to a new file.

I called their customer service number: A recording said they do not answer phone and to leave a message and they will "try" to get back to me soon.

I am satisfied that WhatsCheaper.com is the worst airline booking site I have ever used, or just a plain scam, in my opinion.

As a former travel agent, I believe that I have some better insight then many of the reviews listed.

Pros.
1. Booking was easy to do, and fare was good and acceptable.
2. Received email immediately after booking
3. Received "final" confirmation email a couple hours later.
4. Received notification of airline schedule change about a month after I booked.
5. Boarded and flew the flights with No problems.

Cons.
1. Customer phone support is not great. They call you back after you leave a message... however. Not bad either since they did call me within 20 minutes of my message.
2. They do charge a fee included in the price of the ticket, but billed separate. My fee was $15.00 which was ok by me since my total price was only $138.00! (which included the fee).

As for other reviews below. I do not think people understand the travel industry.
Travel companies do not have any ability to waive fees that the airlines charge.

They say tickets are nonrefundable on the website, and they say airlines charge $200-$300 penalty fees. Anyone that thinks they control these fees have never been in the travel industry before.

Also, I see a review that says they were notified the airline came back not confirmed. As a former travel agent I can testify to that! Especially with Spirit Air! The issue is that smaller cheaper airlines do not pay for full access to Travel computers. That means their is a delay in updating flight availability. The Travel agent computer may still show available because the airline has not sent the message that its now sold out. This causes the problem! It only happens on smaller airlines that don't pay for full access... This is NOT the travel agents fault! I have personally had to call customer back on this same subject when I was a travel agent!

I think people sometimes leave bad reviews because they are unfamiliar with the industry and unfortunately they blame the travel company. This company is NOT a Scam as one reviewer said. I got my ticket for a good price, I flew on the flights with no problems and everything worked out fine.

I am leaving 4 Star. With only 1 deduction because of the limited phone support.

Tip for consumers:
If you are satisfied with the Price buy it, they are similar to all other travel companies I have purchased from.

I am new at traveling and learning quick how to travel cheaply. I was super happy with the price of my airline flight booked back in December going from Portland, ME to Rapid City, SD and back. What really made me smile was however a smaller savings, yet done in a very conscientious manner. You see United Airlines ended up charging me for a $25 baggage fee which because they were wrong in doing this, I filed a complaint. Not getting any result from them for months, it was such an enormous pleasant surprise to receive a check for $25 coming from the folks at whatscheaper.com. You see they received the money from United and looked up my name as a prior customer and sent a check onto me. Yeah! Thank you whatscheaper.com for your awesome customer service!

I went on kayak.com to book a flight and ended up on whats cheaper.com, the rates look good so i booked and paid they sent me an itinerary then 20 minutel later they said my payment didnt go through which they lied because my card was charged twice 172.20 and the merchants were American airline. I contacted AA they had the booking but no ticket number or payment.
I tried contacting whats cheaper but you have to leave a message or a email, when they called me me back the lady said my credit card was denied, and i should contact AA.
I had to close down my bank account and report fraud because WHATSCHEAPER IS A SCAM THAT STOLE MY MONEY.

This person attempted to buy an airline ticket for more then $300 and their card was declined, its that simple. We have nothing to do with 172.20 they are talking about! They are so confused they even had their friend contact us. We suggested they call the bank and find out where the 172.20 authorization came from because it didn't come from us! Why would we get an authorization for less money then the ticket. That makes NO SENSE! They simply did not have the funds to buy the ticket and they are upset with us! We have called them several times and they even hung up on us. Sometimes people want to blame others for their problems and this is exactly the case here.

I wanted to share my good experience booking flights with Whatscheaper.com. I booked 4 flights for a family trip to Arizona. The booking process was pretty straight forward. I feel like we got a good fare too. One thing was that the airline changed our flight times but an agent contacted me and was helpful with that. Had a good experience and will definitely work with them to book our next trip this summer.

Do not use this site! Booked airfare on this site for a specific time. Got the reservation and it was for a completely different time. I contacted customer noservice and they told me it would cost me $200 + $25 processing fee. They are a scam company.

My ticket to Miami did include a $15 fee however, it was still cheaper then dealing with the airline direct. I called about seats and they called me back within 10 minutes and got aisle seats and everything worked out great. I gave them 4 stars and highly recommend them.

Booked a flite from las to phi. Unbelievable price! However after sending me a confirm # in small print it said my credit card did not go thru. I called their 800 # & u can't speak to a live person. I email them a new credit card # but the airline canceled the booking. This website advised me to go back & rebook the flite. Less than 24 hrs later that price never existed. The same exact fare was $500 more money. I believe they had no intentions of giving me that initial deal & their plan was to upsell. Better off going directly to airline

I just got back from my trip tand like to post reviews when i use a service. I booked my trip a couple of months ago on whatscheaper.com.
I compared the price they offered me and it was the best deal. My booking included seat numbers on Alaska airlines and everything went smoothly as expected. I will use them again in the future.

Even though I had never heard of them, I found a cheap flight on their site and thought I'd give it a shot. What a waste and a pain. They sent me a confirmation number and everything and then at the bottom (thank goodness I checked) there was a note saying that it did not go through, that they were "having trouble with that airline getting correct flight information." Horrible HORRIBLE horrible. Don't use that site ever.

Terrible! They are a SCAM! I was told by an operator of reservations from another airline co. That this is what they do.
You book a flight - then they wait 3 days and make up a bull$#*! story, For me- they said they didn't receive my credit card info. LIARS! They did and it went thru!
Again, they lied and said they tried to contact me - no phone call -no other e-mails,
LIARS AGAIN.
Oh, but hey, now I can book it at todays rate - which of course is much higher.
HOW CAN THESE SCAMMERS BE IN BUSINESS!
They messed up my schedule! Everyone knows they do this - how do they keep getting away with jerking, lying, deceiving everyone and still be in business?
They need to be reported - they need to go down!

Tip for consumers:
don`t bother

Buyer beware! I googled the airlines I wanted to fly and this site came up as an official site for the airlines. In haste I booked two tickets not realizing it was not "the official" airline site, only a booking site. My reservation did go through and I was emailed and confirmed in the 24 hour timeline. A couple of days later I added 1 additional airline ticket which I booked through the actual airline site. It was $15 cheaper at the actual airline site. Upon securing my seat assignment and bording pass on the two tickets booked through whatscheaper.com I was charged by the airlines for my seat selection and my carry-ons, adding a additional $40 per ticket for a total of $55 more on each ticket booked through whatscheaper.com. What's cheaper? Definitely not this site! Save yourself time and money, book through the actual airline site.

Although their name indicates it and they also flag "cheapest price" in reality you pay them a $30 booking fee that you don't pay anyone else. Stay away! Unless you want to pay them $30 to use their site.

I just got back from my trip to Canada. I booked my trip online with Whatscheaper.com. I spent several days looking for a good deal. I signed up for whatscheaper.com farealert program which sent me a daily email with the current price to my destination. After the 3rd email I decided to go ahead and book. The booking was simple, the acknowledgement email came through immediately, and then the next morning I woke up and received the final confirmation. I emailed them back because I wanted Aisle seats. They replied to me within an hour with my seats and all went smoothly.
Reading the reviews here, Its hard to imagine the negative people are talking about this company? I personally think they are great and I would use them again. I highly recommend them.

If you book a fare on their website, be aware that they will charge a "booking fee" of $15 per person. The fee is not disclosed prior to purchase. Shoddy practice.

I booked a ticket with this site and then stumbled upon quite a few horrible reviews claiming the site was a scam, I immediately called my credit card company to cancel the transaction but was unable to, that's when my anxiety set it. I called the airline to check that a ticket actually existed and was told I should have no problems. I then followed up by calling the site, but hung up when I realized I had to leave a message, they called me back within the hour. The woman I spoke to reassured me that the ticket existed and was very professional. I was very happy with th service I received from here and would absolutely book with them again!
