“You ever have one of those major Indy friends, you...”

You ever have one of those major Indy friends, you know the ones thats that no matter how good (or in this sites case average) something is he'll think its bad simple because its popular? Or in El Santo's review of "So... You're A Cartoonist" he puts its best,"Have you every run into a bitter person who will talk your ear off about all their problems whether or not you actually want to listen? Will that person rant and rant and rant, and at some point say that they're speaking their minds, and if no one speak up, then who will? But really, everything they're complaining about is trivial? And that person is really just goddamn annoying?" Not until I ran into your I reviews I haven't. A lot of his points are valid and I found myself agreeing with him multiple times. Notable on his review of "Better Days" by Jay Naylor. But then I then as I scrolled more and more down the one star section of site I noticed somewhat of trend that I couldn't see in the four and five star catagory, a good deal of these so called one star webcomics where fairly popular and recognizable to me, someone who does not read a bunch of them. Webcomics like Jack, Control+Alt+Delete, and VG Cats. All of which read and enjoy myself, with the exception of Jack of which I general skip over most of that. Then as I read the reviews for said comics and some of the comments of his followers I came to the conclusion that webcomicoverlook.com functions in the same way as MMO.com (A review site for MMORPG games). Which is the thought process of "Mainstream sucks, indy comics FTW.". After reading most of the reviews for the Webcomics I have heard of, I then processed to check the web trafficking for each of the three webcomics above and here is the kicker, each one has more traffic than webcomicoverlook.com. My final thoughts are that webcomicoverlook.com is ran by a bias man, who could not write an unbiased reviews if a gun was pointed at his head. The irony to all of this is that El Santo does not have a webcomic of his own.
