“Dissappointed”

My daughter 18, first car, saved money for 4 months working in a very undisirable work conditions. June, 2017 Went to this place Way 2 Drive 1700 Metrocrest Dr Carrollton, TX 75006-*******178950 After seeing 1999 Toyota Camry car advertised online. Was a little Leary when drove up to business. Did not look like a car dealership. More like a warehouse/office buildings. Met Kevin. He was nice. Told us car was once his and he sold it to a lady who drove it 3 years and then came back to him to trade in for something different. Told us it had a complete check by his mechanic and everything was great condition. The only problem was motor on passenger side window was out. We paid extra to have that repaired. Purchase was easy cause we paid 2600. 00 cash. Signed some papers and off we go. 1st month the handle on passenger door broke. We called and he kept forgetting to order handle, then the anti theft system horn kept going off for no reason. Then the handle on drivers side broke. Still no handle fixed in passenger side. Then problems with battery. 4 months of driving it, less than 300 miles, and on way back from Sonic the car catches on fire and burns up. Thankfully my daughter got out and was not injured. Called Kevin and all he said was sorry no warranty. Did not offer to help her get in a different car or nothing. 2600. 00 of her money that she saved gone. Very cute burnt Car sitting in driveway and we can't even get 250.00 for the good parts and great tires. Now this might not be something he knew about when he sold her the car, and yes it's a chance you take when buying a used car, but now she has nothing to drive and he seems to care less. I don't really think that's good business. If I had been him, I would have at least offered to get her in a different car and maybe let her pay it out. Something, not NOTHING. Thanks Kevin for doing NOTHING to help us. Sometimes things and people do not always appear to be as nice as they look or act. Oh and still never got the handle.
