First registered for Vyking Ship a couple of years ago. The experience is without fault, straightforward shipping options (not to mention giving you multiple shipping from postal mail to express couriers), and the completion process is prompt.

Refused to allow me to add a US forwarding address (Becuase it was there competitors), When questioned on this it was met with a rude response stating 'If the other companies are perfect why are you using us'... I'm Closing account and using others who are a lot more helpful and NOT rude when asked a simple question. The fact is if I pay the shipping and fees and taxes I should be able to have my parcels forwarded to any address I require. Attempt to have your parcels sent to another forwarding company (so you can easily consolidate parcels) and you will be met with rude responses. They can hide behind there hidden T&C; s in any response here, however there is no excuse for rudeness. Used once and never again

Hello Mick,

I looked at the discussion you had with our chat agents and you had left abruptly before our agent could discuss other options with you.

Our policy of refusing to ship to other forwarders is not uncommon: many other forwarders share the same or have a similar policy. When our chat agent said "if the other companies are perfect..." this was not meant as a rude response. They were trying to figure out what the benefit of the other company was so they could trying to determine what could be done here to bridge any gap. We always want to provide the best service when possible, and I understand that your situation of having multiple items at different locations could be frustrating. Allowing people to ship anywhere opens our business up to people that may ship to multiple forwarders as means to obfuscate their paper trail. As we do not want to help facilitate fraudulent activity, we have to screen addresses being added by our customers.

All businesses that provide a service have Terms and Conditions. This is not something we hide behind and all users agree to (and are recommended to read) them on our registration page. Per said Terms and Conditions, we note that we will not approve any shipping addresses to other forwarding companies.

STILL WAITING FOR MY ITEMS TO ARRIVE, THE WEIRDEST AND THE STUPIDEST THING IS MY ITEMS ARE BEING SHIPPED TO BANGLADESH? CAN YOU BE SERIOUS?! ITS BEEN A MONTH NOW I HAVENT RECEIVED MY ITEMS

Azyan does indeed have the right to be angry, but it should not be at Vyking Ship. The package we shipped to Azyan via the USPS got stuck in Chicago due to an issue with scanning the label (USPS offered no further explanation) and we only got it moving again by launching a Domestic Trace. However, when the person at the USPS manually entered the label information they mistakenly (I don't know how) put the destination country as Bangladesh instead of Brunei, so the package went to Bangladesh and sat there eventhough there were clear notes to ship to Brunei.

During this entire period of time, which has now been more than 1 month, we at Vyking Ship have been in constant contact with the USPS trying to get this package moving properly. Anyone with extensive experience shipping internationally by USPS can attest to the feeling of helplessness in situations where the USPS has made a mistake and you are constantly given no updates and are simply told "you must wait until we hear back from X station or X country".

Azyan's frustration with this situation is shared by us at Vyking Ship as well, and especially me as I have taken the point on this situation. However, the negative aspects of this review should be directed towards the USPS and not Vyking Ship as these delays were exceptional and out of the control of Vyking Ship.

Even so, we will continue to press the USPS for information and push for progress regarding this package and will do our best to recoup the shipping fees from the USPS and return them to Azyan.

Vyking Ship offers a free USA based address to where our customers can have their US purchases shipped.

We offer an array of services (such as consolidating multiple packages into one box, re-sizing packages, taking pictures of contents, checking the contents against an invoice, and completing the customs declaration) to help save our customers time and money.

We also offer a purchase assistance option for those customers who are unable to make purchases online.

And finally, when our customers are ready to ship their package, we ship their packages to wherever they may be in the world using USPS and FedEx as our shipping carriers while offering discounted postage rates.

Business History

With experience in international package forwarding Clinton brought the know-how to run the day to day of the business and merged it with his absolute certainty that what the industry needed was a Customer First mentality. Too many reviews spell out the sad state of affairs in the industry: customer service is nowhere near the priority that it needs to be. Forwarding companies should treat their customers like the life-blood that they are and understand that the constant churn of customers, as they bounce from forwarder to forwarder, is a very bad indicator that something is wrong.

After 2 years of planning the services and offerings, and developing a website to fit our goal of a simple layout with clearly communicated information, we officially launched our site in November of 2014. Since then we have been gaining traction and doing what we can to make our customers the happiest customers in the industry.

With the years of customer service experience I have, I felt that what the International Parcel Forwarding industry needed was a Customer First orientated firm. In this industry of clones and and the shipping experts that may (or may not) do customer service, I decided to create the first Customer Service firm that does shipping.

I can empathize with our customers and understand the excitement, stress, and frustration that can accompany international shipping. Even when we do everything right, sometimes delays or mistakes occur mid-transit. I think it is important, as our customers' only contact in the US, to treat their concerns with the same respect and dignity we would like our concerns to be treated even if events are out of our hands.

You will not hear: "That's not our problem" ever. Our customers' problems are OUR problems. We may not always have the power to fix those things that are out of our control, but we will do what we can within our power to remedy the situation.
