I have been with VF for broadband 4 times now.
Connection is normally fast and hassle free. The engineers who install are generally friendly and knowledgeable.
The connection is rarely interrupted, and speeds are good. (I was on 150mbps before I got 100% fibre and didn't notice a difference in opening webpages. I don't game.)
Problems:
I wanted to move house and stay with VF. I couldn't contact anyone to organise the move or even close the old account. I just stopped paying bills.
Second account was over a year, and I was actually able to close it.
Third house, set up new account. All OK until I was offered fibre. They couldn't find my account (VF can't search by address, and welcome letters and emails don't have a/c number), so I was told to close old a/c when I got notification of new a/c being open. It's not possible to do online (almost nothing is with VF), so I called. She couldn't find my account, so she kept asking if it was the one from the old house, and repeating, "I understand what you are saying". Eventually I hung up and stopped payments with the bank. I am now getting letters from a debt collection agency even though payments for the new connection are coming out of my bank a/c.
For a rental house, I went with VF again (they were cheapest). Connection was OK, although 2 visits were needed due to the first man not having the right equipment. I had given my bank details for direct debit, but got a notification saying my bill was overdue. On MyVodafone, I tried paying just that bill with a credit card (not available at the moment) and then trying to set up direct debit (also not available). I tried again a couple of days later, but kept getting the same message. The service was then cut off. I phoned, and they took payment from my card, and said the service would be restored in 30 minutes. It was not. Phoned again. The payment was put through to a closed a/c. Paid again. Still no service. Called again. Payment was put through to a closed a/c again. Paid again. Told service would be restored. It was not. Called again. It was restored. The first overpayment was returned to my account. The second was not. 3 more calls. I now have to send screenshots from my bank a/c. I have just received a bill with an additional €25 for reconnection fee, and haven't even got the €76 refund.
VF may not be the cheapest option any more.

I will make this story short.
Vodafone has mobile broadband, stick modem. They are saying 20 euro per 30 days or 7.5GB data. After 3 days, the top up was gone. We went to Vodafone shop, they told us, we topped up that stick modem in wrong way ( top up was bought in other Vodafone shop and the staff did it there online) but the distance between this two shops is about 100Km so basically no point to drive there and back, if they have same computer system.
We bought another top up, the connection is very slow, but the point is, second top up was gone in 6 days an they said, we have use the data limit, so we need to top up again. Btw I got good router RB751G-2HnD and ALL data is coming thru this router, so it counts the data used. If you want the internet connecction you need to connect thru this router, I have changed password on usb stick, so nobody can bypass router. The data counter said about 2.16GB used.
One more story with Vodafone. I have bought top up for my phone, Samsung Galaxy 4S for 20 euro. The guy in the shop said, if you will buy top up atleast for 20 euro, you will have internet connection for free for next 30 days. So I bought top up for 20 euro. I came home, connected my Alienware laptop to the phone wifi hotspot. The top up was gone in about 80 minutes, 20 euro lost. Next day I came to Vodafonee shop to complain. They told me there is a landline and I can call to some $#*!ty support centre and tell them the story about lost top up. I did and nothing happened. Basically that was my most expensive internet connection in my life which lasted 80 minutes for 20 euro.
Last few words. If you are in Ireland and you are thinking about mobile network, avoid $#*!ing Vodafone. They will rip you off every day, till rest of your life.
Vodafone customers support = $#*!
Vodafone network coverage = $#*!
Vodafone prices for calls = even more $#*!
I switched to another network and I am finally happy.
