Back on September 25,2023 I bought a delphi Fuel pump for my 2016 Audi S4. Normally, when you buy part on any website that it's sold on, it will tell you if there are modifications that need to be made or if you needed other parts included for it to work, but in this case, there was no mention on Vivids website that says you needed any additional parts to install the fuel pump properly. After having it installed by a very reputable mechanic shop, I immediately got a check engine light which you was strange given that I just had a full service done on my car and I didn't have any fuel pump issues installing the new delphi pump. I started getting error codes stating my engine was running lean on bank one and two and in case anybody doesn't know what that means basically, if you don't get this addressed immediately, you can melt a piston because of the massive amount of heat buildup. It back to the mechanic shop where I had paid to have it fully checked once again. They couldn't find what the corporate was at which point I contacted and spoke to a manager at Vivid Racing who told me they had to do a bleeding procedure and to make sure the fuel lines were all straight. The shop I was working with followed the exact protocol to no avail. I contacted Vivid again and spoke to another representative who told me I needed to contact the manufacturer of the pump which I obliged where I spoke with Delphi representative Bella who told me that when a customer has an issue with a part, it Hass to go through the third-party that you bought it from and they will contact the manufacturer and found it strange that they were forcing me to contact the manufacturer myself. I then spoke to parts manager Bailey and explained the predicament I was in, and I told her it was not right for how I was being treated for there was no mention on Vivid's website stating that I needed to add additional parts or that my engine would be running lean if I installed this pump. I informed her I had already spent thousands of dollars for mechanics to try and diagnose what was going on at this point it's already been over a month I've spent thousands of dollars for a $450 pump that is destroying my car. Then we will send you a new pump and supposedly they contacted Delphi. I then contacted who works at Delphi and asked her did anyone from Vivid contact Delphi she said no we have no record and the pump didn't come from us. It came from a third-party distributor and there's no proof to tell if the part that I bought was even new or not. I asked bailey who initially said it came from Delphi and they had talked to them directly, but then proceeded to say no I never talked to Delphi nor did it come from Delphi but a third-party distributor where she couldn't tell me the name. Then said I could return that but I told her it was on my car and I'm not going to pay to have my car sit at a shop for God knows how long since I have to have it towed, so can you send me a new one and I will send you another one back, they told me I had to pay for a second pump now I'm short $900. I had the second one installed and what do you know same story where are my car is running lean. Fast forward to today December 11. It's now been more than two months. My car is not starting properly. I have check engine light and false and possibly more damage internally to my block because of a stupid pump and negligence from this company who has zero accountability that they did not properly state, on their website that this was a problem. I spoke to a representative today and neither she nor Bailey wants to take any accountability or acknowledge how I've spent $5000 on a witchhunt to figure out what the hell is going on with my car when the corporate is a pump that is not meant to work on my car. To the point I contacted APR performance integrated engineering as well as Another tuning shop in New York, and all of them said the same thing an ECU tune would not fix the issue, and that I would have to go back to a factory pump. I contacted Bailey three times via phone and email and she never responded to any of them. I contacted Vivid again today where I was told initially she was only going to refund me for a single pump and after a great deal of back-and-forth she said depending on the integrity of the pump we'll see if you'll get a full refund so now it's not even guaranteed. Now I have to buy a factory pump and once again have it installed to eliminate the fault. I've never encountered a more deceptive classless organization than Vivid racing and even after all this wouldn't give me a discount on buying a factory pump nor were they going to compensate me for having to pay for another install. After spending well over $5000 to try and figure out what is going on with my car is there anyway I'm going to be reimbursed for all the hell this company has caused me and the damage they caused my car of course not all I got was a tough luck. We apologize for our gutless service. If you want company will treat you badly and bury you financially and destroy your car. Then truly I encourage you to buy your parts from Vivid Racing. What a absolute joke.
Before you buy any parts, I would definitely double and triple check to make sure that you will not have any issues with your car and personally do not go through Racing. There are far better companies with better customer service who value their customers more than this classless company.
Delphi fuel pump
This has been a phenomenal disappointment…DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
I ordered a set of titanium lug studs with ball seat tuner lugnuts specifically (per their website)
For my 2019 Audi TT RS.
This company shipped me a set of titanium, lug, studs, and Standard ball seat Lugnuts.
I didn't complain about them sending me the wrong Lugnuts, as I assumed I had missed a checkbox or something. When I attempted to install them, I found that the thread pitch was incorrect, and it made them extremely hard to thread into my hubs. Most of them, with some work, I could back out and thread forward and back out and thread forward until they would go in all the way but one specifically was not cut correctly and would not thread into my hub. I consequently snapped three different Allen head sockets, attempting to work at back-and-forth until I got it into the hub. Of course, this was on the very last wheel so we had to go back and take all three of the other wheels back off and pull all 20 of the studs back out. I then proceeded to clean them with a wire brush to get all of the Loctite off that they had recommended I use to install them, then, when I filed the return request, and specifically told them that I tried to install them, and they did not work, they put me off for several days and sent me several emails over a two week period…
Saying they were going to address the issue. I finally got someone to respond and they sent me a very polite email, saying if there was any damage to the packaging or marks on anything that they would refuse my return….
Please refer to the pictures below as their "reason" for refusing my return… Understand that it is possible to polish metal, so any light marks on their amazingly strong, titanium, lugstuds or nuts probably shouldn't have been possible, but should be easily polished out by a place that manufactured them in the first place. What they have pointed out on these Lugnuts was literally one attempted install and then removal… They were on my car for a total of 45 minutes because that's how long it took me to figure out that the kit they sent me would not work!
I question if they are actually titanium at all.
Also, notice how beautiful the parts are that I returned, and understand that working in the garage on an automobile is filthy… I took the time to wipe them all down and scrub them clean as well as possible, prior to returning them in an effort to be a respectful consumer.
I knew at this point they were going to attempt to refuse the return, even though they sent me the wrong product in the first place. To set a timeline, I received the product approximately March 26, I attempted to install the product March 27. I then spent two weeks trying to get someone to pay attention to the fact that they sent me an item incorrectly. I shipped them the return on April 16 they received it April 22 and then sent me an email stating they were not going to accept the return April 24 because I had attempted to install the product…
How would I ever know that a set of lug studs and Lugnuts didn't work if I didn't attempt to install them?! And when I told them that there was a problem installing them, that's why I was returning them. Why would they not have addressed it at that time?
This company is extremely deceptive, their customer service is the worst I've ever been associated with, and they will do anything they can do to steal and keep your money…
Consumers Beware this company is dangerous.
I ordered 2 Braum Falcon X racing seats and mount plates from Vivid racing in Arizona for a 1968 Nova twin turbo build 9/12/22. My order including tax totaled $1572.64. These seats were advertised on there website to fit 40 inch waist. They were FIA/SFI certified. Rollcage install was on hold for seats. The seats were drop shipped from Braum racing in California. My order did not arrive till 10/25/22. Waited over a month for shipment. Excitedly opened a box to check fitment. These seats were ordered specifically for the advertised fitment specs Vivid racing advertised. Needless to say these seats were not what was advertised! Immediately contacted Vivid racing explaining my dis-satisfaction with there false advertising. I was instructed to submit a return request to Vivid racing which i did immediately. After numerous emails and phone calls i received a RMA return authorization from Trinity Garner at Vivid racing on 11/11/22. I complied with there shipping instructions on 11/12/22 Fed Ex shipping back to Braum racing which Vivid racing will not cover. Due to the size of the box the shipping costs were $799 and change out of my pocket! My shipment arrived back at the manufacturer on 11/18/22 ( 6 days from Chicago to California) NOT 6weeks Fast forward to 12/8/22 and many phone calls and emails to Vivid racing i finally received a refund of $1290.24. Not the purchase price i paid($ 1572.97). Again many phone calls as to why. $282.73 difference and many Non returned calls and emails. I demanded to speak to a manager. I was connected to Sarah returns dept manager and was told Braum racing is charging me a restocking fee. She stated she would contact Braum and get back to me that day. Once again blown off by Vivid racing. This company is the worst company i have ever dealt with.
Long story short it cost me approx $1082 to try on a pair of seats based on their advertising. Companies like Vivid racing deserve to be put out of business for there shady business practices and customer service. I will make it a point to personally flood social media with there business tactics. I wish i would have read all 600 plus negative reviews about this company before spending my hard earned money with them. Braum racing, I'm coming after you next!
I have retained all the documentation for this claim
Buyer beware. DO NOT PURCHASE from Vivid racing
Braum Falcon X racing seats
I ordered two fuel tanks, paid immeidately and received instant email notification that they'd received the order and taken my money. No problem. Later that day I get an email saying they don't have the tanks and will notify me when they drop ship from a supplier. Hmm. Nothing on their website suggested that... I checked first... but ok. After two days of waiting I emailed at 5am asking for an update and specifying that if the tanks were backordered to cancel it. No response. So I called the next day mid-morning and waited on hold. And waited. And waited. And waited. And after 30 minutes I hung up to try the live chat instead. Was slow response but at least I was getting responses. Asked to cancel my order. Was told that Grace would check on that. Long, long wait. LONG. Finally told she was transferring me to John. Long wait. John said he'd check on that. Long wait. Said it is shipping today! I said too late, cancel it. Says I can't, it's already shipped. I said ok, let's open a return. He transfers me to Ursy. Long, long wait. Ursy says I can't cancel because it shipped yesterday. Note that I still haven't received any communication via email saying it's shipped or a tracking number, but she says it shipped yesterday, here's the number, glad I could help. I'm pretty irritated by now because it's been over an hour but I don't like being mistreated so I'm being polite to all these folks. I ask for info to return the tanks once they arrive. She says you can return at your own cost. Great, send me the info for how to initiate return, say I. Nope, they haven't been delivered yet so you can't start a return.
So here's my GUESS, based on now reading so many other people's lousy experiences with this place: I suspect they ignored my email because it would take a phone call to get the answer, and they figured better to ignore it and keep the money rather than do what 's best for the customer. Then when I finally got someone and they couldn't get rid of me with multiple transfers and long waits, they called someone to print a label and declare it as having shipped. I suspect it still hasn't shipped, although I magically got a "your item is on its way" email the instant I got off the chat thing. And lo and behold, they made sure to note in the 'it shipped' email that there's a 25% restocking fee for certain items.
I will absolutely, never, EVER order from these people again. If you need motorcycle parts, go to Revzilla or Rocky Mountain ATV instead. Even if you have to wait for an item to come off backorder, those places know how to get a customer for life. This place knows how to snatch your money, plug their ears and ignore their phone.
I ordered hub centric rings on May 6,2021 at 5:53PM EST. I called Vivid Racing at 6:05PM re: that I wanted to cancel my order. I spoke with a Vivid Racing customer service representative to cancel the order. The representative advice she would cancel the order. I was good to go, no further action was required. May 11,2021 6:39PM I received an email that Vivid Racing cannot cancel my order has been shipped. May 12,2021 at 12:46Pm I received a notification from FedEx that a package has arrived. At 3:15PM I picked up the package directly from a FedEx location. The package said it was from Tanabe I'm California not from Arizona where Vivid Racing is located. So I open the package to find out it is the hub centric rings that was canceled. May 12,2021 3:48PM I called Vivid Racing to discuss the order I canceled. I spoke to Ursy Horsteen with Vivid Racing re: advice that is canceled the order with a previous Vivid Racing representative. Ursy advised that the cancellation process takes 2 to 3 business days. I notified Ursy that I spoke with representative that stated the cancellation was processed. Ursy advised I was misinformed and did not know why the previous representative did not tell myself of the it company protocol. I advised I cancelled the my order and never wanted the hub centric rings. I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was denied. Ursy kept repeating company protocols. I notified that it was their representative's mishandling that brought us to this situation. Ursy acknowledged the problem with my interaction with the previous representative. Then denied myself a refund. I did not want the items and advised I would go back to FedEx to return them. Ursy advised the item was processed and received. She would not issue a refund. Ursy advised that I would email pictures of the box and items to a link she sent to my email. Vivid Racing would forward the email to the manufacture to find out if they would issue a refund to myself. Ursy advised that she could not guarantee I would get a refund. Even if I followed their protocol. In addition, she advised that she could not guarantee if the manufacturer would take back the items to get returned. At this point I was furious, even I took the proper steps I was at the mercy of the Vivid Racing and the manufacture. I was left with no options. So I sent the photos per Ursy at Vivid Racing on May 12,2021 at 4:06 PM I emailed the photos to Ursy. May 13,2021 12:23PM I received an email from Ursy that the manufacture would charge a 20% restocking fee, I would have to pay for shipping. The total was $53.74. Shipping alone is $15.74. The 20% restocking fee is $8.60 leaving a cost of $23.34. The items totaled $38.00 - $23.34 = $14.66 refund. This is simply outrageous. I called and canceled the order. Vivid Racing's representative canceled the order. The representative did not advise myself of the 2-3 day protocol to cancel. So I am getting punished with undue penalties because of Vivid Racing's representative neglecting to do their job properly. So I am left stuck. This is a terrible experience that left me hanging.
