Ridiculous service charges. $23 USD PER TICKET! Didn't notice until too late. Tried to cancel order less than 10 min after purchasing but company refused. Advertised as Canadian company but all prices in USD and customer service out of the US and under a different name. I would avoid buying from here if possible.

Ridiculous service charges. $23 USD PER TICKET! Didn't notice until too late. Tried to cancel order less than 10 min after purchasing but company refused. Advertised as Canadian company but all prices in USD and customer service out of the US and under a different name. I would avoid buying from here if possible.

It's not until you go to checkout that you see that they charge in US dollars. The name of the website is vipticketsCANADA.CA So Canada in the name, a. Ca (canadian) domain and the tickets are for a Canadian event. But they surreptitiously charge you in a foreign currency. This should be illegal.

This site adds 14.95 US to every ticket at the very end of your transaction, but doesn't tell you. It just changes the total. And if you call to cancel after seeing this, it will not refund you, and their customer service people are extremely rude about it as they know they are working for scammers. Do not support this site!

The service fee is added at checkout, and customers are required to review the total and accept this amount, along with terms and conditions, before any transactions are processed. This, in turn, means that the fee and total amount including taxes and fees, were shown to you and confirmed by you before the purchase was completed. Company website is misleading. I assume VIP Tickets Canada will be selling in Canadian dollars. Not until after the purchase was it clear it was $US.

I called the company 5 minutes after the purchase and was told they would not cancel order. Can you imagine, 5 minutes after the order. This is how shoddy companies work

Thanks for your feedback on this issue. We are sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience buying from us. We are a Canadian company, and are owned and operated out of BC. However, we are unfortunately limited at this time to listing ticket prices in USD. This limitation is due to the software we use to list our tickets, which currently does not have an option to list prices in CAD way to fix this issue. Since most ticket exchanges are American companies, there is not software currently available to incorporate into our site that is designed with Canadian exchanges in mind. We are currently working hard on a feature for our website to display prices in CAD, and hope to have this changed on our website listings in the next few months, as we too think it is a priority to have our customers see tickets prices in CAD! Until then, in the spirit of transparency, we have attempted to make it as obvious as possible that prices are (for the time being) in USD. It is listed in several places on our website, including the checkout page (before purchase), the terms page, and others, that prices are currently listed in USD. If you have any suggestions on how to better make this obvious to our customers, it is welcomed! Thanks again for your feedback on this issue.

The tickets look a decent price but then there is a service fee of almost 30 a ticket then on top of that the prices are in US dollars not Canadian even tho is says Canada in the name so you end up paying almost twice the price. And the when we printed our tickets they had the original buyers name on them. No happy at all I will never buy tickets from them again!

Hi Jordan! It is unfortunate to hear that you did not have a good ticket purchasing experience. Service fees are part of the standard operating procedure of a ticket exchange like ours. We know they can be a nuisance, but they are what allow us to continue to operate and offer customers the best tickets available! As for the the other name on the ticket, that is again part of the standard operating procedure. I know it can be confusing for customers, especially if they are unfamiliar with the secondary ticket marketplace. Because we are a resale marketplace, we are unable to change the name printed on the ticket, and it will always show name of the original purchaser. However, this will not effect your ability to use the ticket to enter the event! Because many of the ticket brokers (individuals or groups that hold the inventory) are based in the U.S., the ticket price listed on our website is often in turn listed in USD, despite the fact that we are a Canadian marketplace. This is stated clearly on our website at checkout when you are purchasing your tickets. We hope that you enjoyed your event despite these circumstances and understand that they are an unavoidable part of running a ticket exchange! Guys, check all other review, they are FAKE written by the same person on the same date! AVOID this garbage scalpers! Bought 2 tickets and were FAKE, couldn't use them and no refund. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Bought 5 seats for the Raptors game tonight. Got to the arena only to be told that the tickets were no good. Apparently the seat owner accessed their tickets after posting them to this site. As it turns out the phone number goes straight to a guys voicemail claiming to be the Executive something or other... useless when youre trying to get into the venue. Turns out these tickets were sold to VIP from another ticket broker and tried contacting them. Apparently VIP is just a front for these guys. Their customer service says I have to email the venue and get them to explain via email that the tickets were no good and that the original owner must have logged into their account and generated a new bar code. Went to the box office, and they said we dont do that... all we can tell you is that your tickets are no good, so now Ive got to wait for them and PayPal to sort out how I get my $900 USD back... thanks for ruining a night out with my kids.

I got a ticket with super high prices, checked it else where and I found out there were much other low cost tickets. There was no way to get money back...

This is a spam, stay aware..

Does not show standing room only until after you purchase tickets. The seat view shows your "seats" and a picture of the arena. Of course no refund because that is there policy. Lie, scam, and mislead.

If I could give a negative number I would. Bought tickets from them in December for my boyfriend/best friends boyfriend, we waited 6 months for the concert, the guys have been counting down the days and were so stoked. Get there an hour early to get some t-shirts and some beers before they find their seats, to be turned down at the door because their tickets are false. Not only were our guys so upset, we also were because something so special to these guys was wrong from a phoney website. They missed a show of their favorite band, and we can't even send them to another city to go see them because there isn't another show. We are overly upset about this experience, not only will we NEVER use this phoney site again, we will be reporting it to the Bureau, and contacting our credit card company! Thanks for ruining what was suppose to be an amazing night for 2 guys!

Hello Sara,
I am sorry to hear that you had this negative experience and couldn't get into your event! Since we are a marketing company only and the tickets themselves came from a third party broker, the third party broker is responsible for the tickets sold and might be able to help you if you get into contact with them. All brokers that sell via our platform are licensed, registered, and screened for security, and hence issues such as yours are extremely rare. However, it is always possible that something goes wrong with the system on the broker's end or venue's end. We advise our customers to get a printout from the venue stating that you were denied entry - did you get a printout of this nature? This is the only way we can confirm that your tickets were not valid for whatever reason and start the process of issuing a refund. With no written proof that entry was denied, out hands are unfortunately tied and we cannot issue a refund of any kind. If you have written/printed confirmation from the venue that the tickets didn't allow you into the venue, please contact us at sales@vipticketscanada.ca and we'll help you begin the refund process! Thank you

Purchased tickets to a hockey game for $102 and some change and when I went to check my bank account there was a withdrawal for $141 and some change. I called the company and they charge in American dollars... I feel like they are misleading their customers. The company name is VIP tickets Canada and they are charging in American dollars. I could have got better tickets from another site for the extra $40 that they charged for the exchange rate! I will never purchase tickets there again... Don't bother calling to cancel your order cause they won't let you do that either.

I am sorry to hear that your experience purchasing tickets from VIP Tickets Canada was not a positive one. I understand your frustration here and will try my best to address your concerns as fully and honestly as possible.

Firstly, rest assured that we are completely Canadian owned and operated. We are based out of Victoria, BC and have been since our inception as a company just over three years ago. Our customer service centre is unfortunately based in the U.S., as we do not have a facility here in Victoria that is able to handle this component of the business at this time.

Secondly, know that we are aware of the issue you speak of and are in the process of tackling it. We are working hard to get our software provider (which is based in the states due to a lack of Canadian options) to change their formulas so that we can list prices in CAD. Until then, we are trying to make it clear to customers that prices are in USD by listing it on our website, at checkout, and on our social media pages. I purchased two tickets to the Raptors game and enter their promotion provided for this month and as I'm processing my order the promotion code did not go through, so I was charged full price. I emailed customer service and they say the promotion is expired. I called customer service and they say the same thing. HOW THE HELL DOES A PROMOTION CODE FOR THE MONTH EXPIRE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MONTH!?!?! I'm sorry but when you say "SAVE! This MONTH's promotion code..." I am expecting the promotion code lasting FOR THE MONTH and not expire during the month! It literally is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! Because otherwise I would have purchased my tickets elsewhere.
***I also have proof of the promotion code still advertising on the website***

ALSO, WHAT THE HELL IS WITH US PRICING during the final amount total! It was leading me to think I was paying with CAD! There is was NO notification or message saying that I will be charge in US!

OVERALL, the service was CRAP and the website has false advertisement! NEVER AGAIN will I be purchasing from VIP TicketsCanada
