The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Purchased tickets for an event in London, later as I was unable to attend I followed on line instructions to re sell tickets, they were sold almost immediately but despite following instructions and advising Viagogo that I did not yet have the tickets from original seller. They then cancelled my sale and charged me for the privalage.
The site and customer service (not responding to emails) is to say the least poor.
Having lost quite a lot of money through poor advise I would not recommend this site to anyone.
I purchased tickets on viagogo as a gift for my daughters 16th birthday. The price was over 700 euro for a ticket, which, was pricey but was supposed to be best seated. The ticket's original price turned out to be 54 euro! And we bought 2 of them! Via logo robbed us for our money and should be banned! Trust me when i say STAY AWAY!
I can hardly believe that Viagogo is actually legal. Scalping on the street is illegal, this site is nothing more than that only online and endorsed y the actual official sites. Did you ever wonder why you can't get your tickets after sitting on computer or phone only to find they were sold out within a short period of time. Perhaps it is because people buy up these tickets and then make a huge profit selling them on. It must be a lucrative business. I would now rather miss the concert than be so ripped off. We are being taken advantage of and beware my dud tickets are now being sold on that site for even more than what I paid and the person made nearly a hundred dollars profit per ticket eg a ticket actually priced at 137.50 was onward sold to me for 211.50 Then somebody got booking fee of 117.50 then another fee for handling 4.95. So now those tickets could be sold on for 400.00 plus all the fees! Beware read it all. Stay home if you can't get from the proper site. They investigate the airline charges what on earth are these. Perhaps a request to look into this whole business should be sought. However now with full understanding of this practice I would rather wait for it on pay television.
Do not buy from Viagogo - they take the money and then default last minute! Bought ticket for Shawn Mendes concert. Until 2 days before the concert they said all was fine and I should not worry. Then on the last day before the concert they cancelled the order saying that they couldnt contact the seller. Pathetic. Dont buy from them!
I bought 3 tickets for South Africa vs England at Twickenham for the 12 th November, The price was £120 per ticket on the Viagogo website I was then charged £180 per ticket because of handling fees which is a daylight robbery. The tickets have arrived with a face value of £45 So I paid 4 times the face value for the tickets. No body minds paying a premium to get sought after tickets but 4 times the amount is theft in my opinion.
Tickets arrived 2 days later than they said and we were already in another country. They were told 2 times. No action and you cannot call them. Horrible
Like so many others I thought I'd never be sucked into such a scam but I sadly was.
DO NOT BUY FROM VIAGOGO THEY ARE CROOKS.
Just did what I never thought I'd do and got sucked in. Website originally stated NZ$ but by the time I was to the billing it was in AU$. Got my head around that then ended up with a wopping $109AUBooking fee. Have tried to find a contact and theres nothing and the bank has said that they won't stop the payment- they are not fraudulent.
Totally dodgy - purchased tickets, they happily took our money at a premium price and now we are told they cannot and that the "appreciate your cooperation and understanding". They have no guarantee - DO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH THESE PEOPLE
I just brought tickets to Dixie Chicks and thought it odd when I could not search for actual seats to choose where we sit. Purchased tickets anyway then found out the official ticket seller was Ticketed not Viagogo even though they had on the page that they were. We overpaid $285 for an event that wasn't even sold out! Have been tying to contact them with no response and can not refund our tickets.
Watch out Viagogo are crooks. Tickets at Ticketek are sold for $161.11 which Viagogo sold me for $322.21. Viagogo CEO never responded... we are taking this further on twitter and through fair trading
VIAGOGO SUCKS!
Im not sure if they actually have human beings working for them, because I cannot reach anyone ever. I HAVE TRIED CALLING AND EMAILING FOR A MONTH AND NO ONE WILL GET BACK TO ME.
They sold me tickets to a Manchester United game, for the wrong day! Yet, they will not speak with me about this.
THIS SITE IS A CON AND THE PEOPLE RUNNING IT NEED TO BE TAKEN TO COURT!
I wanted to buy two soccer tickets. The Viagogo website stated I would be charged $72 for both tickets. I thought 'WOW' this is fantastic.
So I bought the tickets.
Then I received an email stating that I had been charged a total of $97. What the website had hidden was the additional $25 booking / handling fee I had been charged.
On the plus side: I did obtain (hopefully - as the tickets haven't arrived yet) two tickets that I wasn't able to obtain from the official ticket purchasing site! On the down side - I probably wouldn't have bought them had I known they would cost me $45 each!
Stated it was official site when it wasn't. Gave me wrong information and charged me 60 euros on top of the 90 euros for the ticket. As they gave me the wrong information regarding the event I ended up buying a new ticket from official site. I was not given a refund. It was to see the Dalai Lama in Zurich. There was no access to contact them apart from email. Basically I threw 150 euros down the drain.
I was anxious to buy tickets for Bill Bailey. I looked online and couldn't find dates for Melbourne. I then searched 'Bill Bailey, Melbourne", and Viagogo came up reading " Bill Bailey Official site. I then broke my golden rule and didn't research before buying. I won't do that again. Each of my two tickets were $105 more, plus $50 each booking fee. I finally received the tickets and they were in a different row. From reading others experiences I feel lucky any tickets arrived. They appear to be from Ticketmaster so I can only hope they're genuine!
We searched for tickets to Bill Bailey tickets at Jupiters Casino and ended up on the Viagogo site. Presuming they were the seller of all of the tickets we went ahead and purchased 3 tickets. We thought they were a bit expensive and there was no choice of seating. After buying realised they had tacked on an extra $30 PER TICKET booking fee. Then got concerned when the email they sent said that the tickets would be available to download 3 days before the show. After calling the Casino we realised that tickets were still available through ticketek for $91 each. We had paid $150 each. What a con! BEWARE.
Hard to believe i have been scammed too. No number to call and they do not reply to emails. Been "ripped off" for 2 tickets in Sydney to Coldplay on 13 Dec, am not sure if the tickets I have are fake plus i got charged $122 for handling. The biggest thieves - nobody should EVER use VIAGOGO.
Paid over £500: for 2 tickets to see justin bieber on Monday 17th apparently alternated service says they havnt recieved them yet to send them out no way of contacting them... hitting panicking now, 2 devastated heart broken kids NEVER AGAIN I feel sick!
I bought tickets about a week before the event took place and everything ran smoothly. I went to check out the pickup location and theatre day before the event to plan the time I was going to leave. The first thing that I noticed was the odd location of the pickup location. It is actually a Mail Boxes etc. not a viagogo office, so the person handing you your tickets is the only person there working for viagogo - supposedly. I never made it inside because when I got home the day before the event I got an e-mail saying my tickets were no longer available. Great, now the other tickets I was previously looking at on StubHub cost almost a hundred pounds more than they originally did. Well, I got two emails one said I'd receive a refund within 5 business days, and the next said 10. This strikes me as odd, but I'll be making sure I get a refund. I called viagogo and spoke to this incompetent worker who didn't shut up. "Sorry sir but your tickets are no longer available we have issued a refund how it works is we get the tickets from a seller..." Okay, but what I was talking about was the guarantee stated in their email and website that when your tickets aren't available they will work their hardest to ensure you get another ticket to the show. Well, the email said they couldn't find one, but their website had about 5 listed, so why couldn't I get one of those? Well, this guy never answered this question but their guarantee is a guaranteed piece of crap. Don't buy from viagogo use StubHub! Or any other company, because with viagogo all you'll get is a cancellation.
We bought the most expensive tickets for Notre Dame de Paris at Teatro Carlo Felipe in Genoa.
The seats were a joke, on the extreme right of the theatre & a few rows back from the front. If we looked straight ahead we stared at a wall.
Viewing the stage at an angle only 60% of the stage was visible, a great deal of the performance was out of sight for us.
Of course we asked to move but the theatre was fully booked.
We travelled from Nice, booked a hotel and so wish we hadn't bothered and saved our money which we feel was stolen from us under false pretences.
In addition the postal delivery was a shambles. We followed the delivery tracker and waited in all day as indicated - only to be advised at the end of the day that the delivery was rescheduled for the following day.
At the time of purchase online Viagogo did not offer a plan of the theatre to show where the seats were, but we selected the best seats and ended up in the worst ones possible. AVOID VIAGOGO.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
