The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I paid £104.33 for 2 tickets, they arrived by post in good time, however when we arrived at the venue having queued to get through security for about 20 minutes we went through the scanning process to be told that our tickets had already been used earlier by someone else. We were totally embarrassed and treated as if we were the perpetrators. The tickets were immediately confiscated and we were told to go to your office at 02. This was at least a 25 minute all-round walk, we were at your office for at least 30 minutes and needless to say when we got new tickets we had to queue again and missed the first 30 minutes of the Murray / Wawrinka match All because it would seem Viagogo had sold these tickets TWICE, and whoever got there first was allowed in!
The treatment we received at your office ( when we finally got seen) was nothing short of downright rudeness and again we were being treated as the guilty party, when all I had done was spend a load of money and not got what I paid for.
We got there in good time so please do not use this as an excuse. Your company have behaved, in my opinion, in a fraudulent and at best dishonest manner and I want an outcome that at least reimburses my total outlay.
I purchased tickets and they were instantly delivered to my email, went to concert, got it, perfect.
Booked and paid for 2 vip tickets for elvis concert in leeds in July for concert in mid November. No contact until I rang prior to concert, hotel sorted and time off work. Told tickets not available and they would try to get some prior to event. Got two cheapest seats sent by royal mail standard post at 1pm on the concert date, charged for booking fee also to add insult to injury. Be very careful folks a very doggy company that sells tickets, holds people's money well in advance when they don't have tickets in their possession. Still waiting for refund of difference from vip tickets to cheapest provided. Advice don't go through what we have had too. Thanks
Bought 2 tickets for Dan TDM. Price per ticket was ridiculous, but event was sold out so bit the bullet. Admin costs charged by Viagogo, on top of ridiculous ticket price, was insane - £150 became £225 (the site doesn't inform you of hidden costs until the end of your purchase). Tickets were originally £21 each. Contacting them is likened to contacting Elvis - ain't gonna happen! Unless you're happy to waste your well earned bucks... AVOID AVOID AVOID :(
Viagogo has asked for so many ID docs to buy some tickets for Coldplay, I'm wondering if another of their operations is Identity Sales (customer supplies their ID, Viagogo sells the Credit Card details, Driver Licence Details, and Passport details)... Sounds crooked... Looks crooked... Possibly is crooked
***FOOTNOTE A:
- The tickets have actually arrived; we just have to see if they are accepted.
- We didn't provide any of the mandatory ID info
- Still no response at all from Viagogo
***FOOTNOTE B:
- Well, we attended the concert, Coldplay were terrific
- Not a single problem
- And still nothing from Viagogo
We will still avoid Viagogo in future, but it will remain a RoLR (Retailer of Last Resort)
I wish I would have read the reviews before wasting nearly £800 yes £800 on 3 tickets to see Coldplay. My fault I didn't realise the high booking fees until I had paid. Please please beware and do not make the same mistake I did
Booked two tickets for England V Fiji months ago. Paid over the odds as it was for my Fathers 70th. Booked and paid for the rail tickets to get to Twickenham. Received the tickets a week before the event - so all looked good...
Then 4 days before the event, I receive an email from viagogo stating:
"Your seller informed us that due to an issue on his end the tickets you received have been voided. These tickets are no longer valid and will not gain you entry to the venue! We apologise for the inconvenience, but please disregard the tickets that you have already received."
"As per our guarantee, we attempted to find replacement tickets for you which were comparable in both category and price to what was originally ordered, but unfortunately, we were unable to locate any. Therefore, we will refund you the full purchase amount of £xxx. Xx."
Interestingly they are still advertising tickets - at a higher price - so my guess is that they are reselling the tickets for a higher price - totally unethical.
As a result, I've not only been left with no event to attend - but also left out of pocket as the rail tickets are none refundable at this late stage. In addition to this, there is no method of contacting viagogo.
Disgrace of a company!
Wouldn't use this company again, and certainly will be telling all my connections via Facebook / Twitter regarding this joke of a business.
Avoid at all cost!
I had bought 2 tickets for Paul Anka concert dated on 02, 02, 2016 in Cracow. The concert was postponed (as Viagogo said on 02, 02, 2017). I have checked in www, and found nothing about this concert. I have asked Viagogo to give me any url that could convince me about this event. No result. Finally they have informed me the concert is cancelled. According to their procedure I have sent the tickets to their headquaters. I should have wait 10 days for money return. In fact more than 20 days I have no return, but only e-mail they say we are working hard on it
What disappointment. Think twice before you buy a tickets from them... there is no protection of the buyer!
Standard response to each of my queries. Paid more than 4 x the price for Dixie chick tickets in new Zealand. I will never receive them so had to buy more from legit site. Google, you need to remove them from your search engine as they are scam artists. So sad.
I bought Justin Bieber tickets for the Perth Concert March 2017 and was told I would recieve E-Tickets, I have not yet recieved them even though I know for a fact the tickets for the concert have already been sent out/released. Has anyone else had this problem? Please help!
Terrible no co contact available, please do not put yourself through the pain, BOOK direct with the venues, if not it will come back to BITE you!
I bought three tickets via Viagogo. Tickets were selling out fast and I failed to spot all the hidden costs. Just to give you a flavor of what I am talking about, I was supposed to pay £237.45 for 3 tickets (£79.15 each), to which they added £65.98 booking fee, VAT £13.20 and "secure ticket delivery" for an additional £10.36.
I paid £326.99 in total for 3 tickets@ £79.15. I will never EVER use Viagogo again, will let everyone I deal with know about this and will spread HONEST reviews until my fingers can't tap anymore.
Avoid at all cost! Paid twice the price for nosebleed seats at a function not even sold out! Then advised 'B' reserve is basically whatever is left. DO NOT USE THIS SITE! TOTAL SCAM!
I'm not sure how this site pops up on a Google search near the top of the page but it is a 100% fraud. They will steal your money. Never do business with this company.
BOOKED 2 TICKETS TO MESHUGGAH. HAVE BEEN CHARGED NEARLY $80 IN BOOKING FEES. NOT HAPPY. I COULD HAVE PURCHASED ANOTHER TICKET FOR THAT. NOT ONLY THAT I HAVE PURCHASED THESE AS A XMAS GIFT AND CANT GET THEM UNTIL EARLY MARCH. WHAT A JOKE. I WANT A REFUND!
DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM THIS SITE. This site is a scam they took £71.00 from my account and I never got my tickets or my money back. Your better off buying it from somewhere else plus it's cheaper everywhere else compared to this crap site
DO NOT USE THIS SITE
I bought two tickets for Hot Dub from Viagogo and they said there were only 8 left so i quickly grabbed them, each was $93, i later realized that you could buy them from Ticketek for $52! I am not happy have been well and truly ripped off!
Hi everyone sorry not a review just need some advice as i'm extremely worried. I purchased two Justin Bieber tickets for 2017 in Australia of my credit card. For starters they added a $99,50 booking fee which I wasn't happy about. And I've been waiting doesn't tickets to arrive as I payed for postage etc. I've recently received an email saying they've turned into "e tickets" and i'm able to print them off. When I click to down load them it says on the email I should have to sign in. There is no sign in anywhere and when I click down load it comes up with a ticket with a random name on it I've emailed them plenty of times and am just receiving automatic emails back which isn't helping at all. I just need some advice on has anyone else has this problem? If so how did they fix it... is viagogo a scam? I spend almost $500 for two Justin Bieber tickets and don't want to loose that much money on a scam.
Thanks guys. :)
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
