The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I am new to buying tickets online and foolishly did not realize this is a sell on site. They did not state the exorbitant fees until you click 'pay'. Then the event was cancelled so they refuse to return the money. They should be banned from trading
Bought some Human Nature tickets & only after you hit the pay button do you get hit with all the fees. Which totalled about $86.00 plus could have bought tickets on another site heaps cheaper! Not a happy customer & tickets dont come until 3 days before event so what if the post is late! Should have done our homework first!
They say that these are the last tickets for the event but don't make it clear you are buying 2nd hand tickets.
Completely untrustworthy, ended up buying 2 tickets in a bad section for 105 each and then booking fees came to an additional 80. Every other site only charges 10-20 for booking fees. Ridiculous.
My intention was to buy two Santana tickets at $165 each - as per the booking site. The website showed "Currency: AU$ Australian Dollars" An exorbitant $90+ booking fee that was hidden in a General Information tab, was added to the above amount.
The final insult - the amount deducted from my bank account was converted to US$, bringing the purchase from $330 to a whopping $590. This matter has been handed over to my banking credit card department to investigate further. I didn't think that scams of this nature were happening on popular, well visited event sites.
And it appears that the ticket is actually issued but Ticketek - are they aware of this scam. Beware!
The site tells you that a low number of tickets is left and that you should buy immediately or all the ticket will be sold out. However, this is not true; on the other ticket sites it is obvious that a lot of tickets are left.
Also, prices are higher than on other sites.
Don't use this "service".
Paid a total of $740 for 2 Bruce Springsteen tickets with a fa e value of $138.50 each
Devasted. Got totally ripped off on booking fees and now I've looked at other reviews to check... looks like my tickets might never arrive. I bought them as a gift for my 18 year old son and nephew with a group all contributing to the cost. Money has come from my account. How will I explain this? I can't afford to buy more as I am unemployed! Shameful!
Booked my ticket and after all confirmation being done on the ticket, I booked my airflights and accommodation.
Only being told after which that the seller can sell the ticket to me.
Paid high premium for the ticket is already bad but due demand and supply, still bearable, but to cancel the ticket after confirmation is a ripped off.
Irresponsible middle agent...
I wanted to surprise my wife during an upcoming trip to Leeds an noticed Andre Rieu was in town when we were there. I googled the tour and it came up with viagogo. I assumed this was the official ticket seller and proceeded to purchase tickets. What a rip off! I ended up paying over £500 for 3 tickets. They were advertised as £123 each but actually turned out to be £80 tickets, they added what appears to be a random VAT cost (not 20%) and a massive £105 booking fee! So I ended up paying £250 over the top for three tickets. After I had booked them I realised I had not gone to the official ticket sales site and checked there and found all the tickets were still available for face value! It true rip off style, when I realised my mistake there was no was to get my money back. Watch out - this site is a complete rip off!
I bought 2 tickets for the Elton John Concert in Dubai on the 15th of December and was ripped off by VIAGOGO. Only after paying I realized that the "face-price", printed on the ticket, was half the price I paid for and they charge you an insane amount on fees.
After downloading the ticket I saw that there was a different name on it a note saying:
"If the ticket is bought via a reseller such as Onlineticketshop, Viagogo or Dubizzle it is considered invalid"
There is no way to call or to get in contact with VIAGOGO to complain or to claim your money back. The only way is to resell your tickets through VIAGOGO and they will charge you AGAIN for that.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE.
Got stung for £90 that I didn't know I had to pay on top of the ticket price today.
Viagogo do not advertise the total price - they add on huge booking fees when you are finally charged - which is then clearly shown to you on the final booking confirmation screen after you have paid.
They do not clearly show the breakdown of charges at the top of the screen as you go through the booking procedure on the site (it was featured in a box on the left hand side of the screen below a seating plan). They add pressure with messages like "you have joined the queue" "you are next in the queue to buy these tickets" "Hurry up! Just sold 8 tickets in Section: General Admission!" "x amount of people are looking at this right now" "only x minutes left to book" etc.
This is an unscrupulous and a short sighted way to run a company (I wont be booking again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know about this too).
You cannot get through to Viagogo to speak to them. I called their number and was asked to enter my order ID by an automated service. The order ID was not recognised (I repeated this 6 times). I have not been able to get any further... it is very hard to contact them. I notice they do not have reviews on their site...
These people are crooks. Do NOT use them. I was horribly ripped off. Paid more than three times what the tickets were worth. They charged a booking fee of $236.
Paid 5 times the amount of face value for 7's rugby Cape Town. Never received tickets! Hidden costs!
How can they get away with it in this day and age?
Stay Away!
I have been SCALPED!
Brought tickets to Grease for my wife and I at Sky City Theatre AUCKLAND NEW ZEALAND
A company called Vaigogo (Based in The UNITED KINGDOM) came up as selling the Tickets saying only a few Premium Seats left. LOCATION was not noticed by me
After buying them i see the Ticket was issued to T J Conner. Last night half the Theatre empty then one half of audience caught out same as us.
Although i feel stupid for being "Dupped" please spread this far and wide so ensure Vaigogo fails next time!
Paid $250 each for 2 Adele tickets and they have charged me $2085! Can't get a response on email, twitter or facebook. Going to report the website, absolute disgrace.
Paid $350 for x2 nhl tickets Blackhawks vs Rangers and none have been sent, the game is tomorrow and we are in new york and cant even get through to speak to anyone, really unhappy
Bought Adele tickets now I'm just finding out you need to have ID that matches the ticket on the day and doesn't seem like I can get my money back :( I paid double for tickets doesn't seem like I'm going to be able to get in
Paid £150 for 2 tickets which were £25 each face value total rip off
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
