BE AWARE- Verizon will take money out of your account even after leaving! And no, I'm not talking about cancelation fees or a final bill owed. I'm talking $350 for a rebate I got from them 6 months prior. When I called to ask why $350 was deducted from my account without my consent over a MONTH AFTER I left them, they said it was because of a rebate. Before I left them though, I asked if I leave, would I owe them anything? They told me the only thing I would owe them was one more monthly payment. They assured me that was it. Then, a month later, I was hit with $350. I called customer service again, but they're a joke because initially, I was told they made a mistake and would refund the $350 back to my account within 10 business days. I was thankful. However, 10 business days later, still NO REFUND. I called once again to find out what was going on, and they said that refund was DENIED. So basically, I was misadvised twice, and Verizon will not take ownership for their misinformation nor refund my money. It's like I was being toyed with. They can say whatever they want and if they fulfill it, they do. If they don't, they don't.
After all is said and done, the only way they will give me back my money is if I go back to them! How conniving! I told them they could keep my hard-earned $350 because I would never return to Verizon.
I own stock in Verizon. I'm dropping them today. No company with that little of ethics is worth investing in.
I've been with ATT for over 20 years. Moved to an area with no att coverage so went to switch to Verizon. They ran a check and found that 2 years ago someone had fraudulently tried to open an account under my name. They will not approve me until I obtain a police report to file with Verizon's fraud dept. I asked if I could just buy a phone and get service but they say I have to finance a phone, but I'm ineligible because two years ago they screwed up and sold something to a fraudulent person. You'd think if they wanted my business they'd help clear this up to meet their requirements. BTW I have excellent credit and offered to pay the $1,010.00 for the phone up front. Must be nice to be able to turn away a potential customer.
I have a landline (I get very poor cell service); it's $115/mo for 99% spam calls, oh well. The service hasn't worked for 3 months, there have been FIVE service calls, each time the technician says "The problem is on the highway, the cable has been damaged and will need to be replaced." EVERY TIME, like they've been sent there with zero notes about any prior service calls. And, of course, it's one guy who is not equipped to drill into the highway and fix an underground cable, so there is yet ANOTHER appointment scheduled for the next week, and we do it all again. The best part - they pro-rated the first month's bill to $9, but this recent bill is for the entire $115, despite having no service for 3 months. Now, try getting anyone, even a bot, to respond to the need to have this bill adjusted. NOPE! As soon as I can get my number ported elsewhere, I am done with VZ. I want to rate them negative125 stars, but that's not available. TERRIBLE!
Verizons customer service is the worse be prepared to wait and wait and wait. I was going order a new laptop thru them but after waiting for over an hour for the tech for help in removing some excess lines I gave up. I can get one at Best Buy and get better service. I still have one line that needs removing 3/17/2022
They quote you one price then charge you something else. After you waste your time talking to there customer support people three different times they tell you it is resolved then they turn you over to collections.
I am a military member. The app is so messed up it refuses to process my military discount. They won't allow me to apply it in store or over the phone. It's like they don't want you to have the benefit. If they don't? Fine I don't care but don't advertise it if you are going to be declining it anyways. Verizon is straight dookie. A wall would be more helpful than they are.
Texting stopped working. I can send no texts. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with them and can still send no texts!
This test is ran 500 ft from VZW site 1 Downtown Columbus right next to their 4G host office. I ran the test 4 times and got the same report.-. 58 Meg down and. 58 M upload.
Don't bother chatting with that online chat robot/person or whatever it is, when on the Verizon site.
I have been trying to cancel my mifi device because you can not cancel anything online or on the app. I have set on the phone waiting for hours with no response and waited hours to text with a live chat, no response. The fact that they won't let you cancel your service when you login into your account is ridiculous. If the only way to do business in regards to cancelling a device is by calling them, then answer the phone. I will continue to be billed because I am unable to make contact with anyone. When I went to the store to cancel, they gave me the number to call. I have exhausted all avenues to try to cancel this device with no success. Do not choose Verizon if customer service is something you value.
I spent a week and a half trying to straighten out my account and am still trying to get issue resolved. I have been a Customer for twenty years and have never had bad cell service but that's where it ends. Can someone explain to me why it's takes "3 or 4 billing cycles to get credits due". They don't seem to have trouble adding billable add ONS to your account. I wonder how they would respond to me taking 3 or 4 billing cycles to pay them? Absolutely the worst organization I have ever dealt with. God know how difficult it will be to discontinue service an go to another carrier. Worst of all they ain't don't appear to care.
Don't trust their map indicating where5G is available. We were squarely in their zone for 5G, but don't even get LTE. A 5G device without 5G drains your new battery, and iPhone 13 pro is no faster than my iPhone 5S.
Horrible customer service in the store, as well. Poor selection of phones.
" BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS!" One of the saleswomen named Tabatha sold us two new phones that ended up costing us over twice the amount of money than we had asked for in our first billing along with no disclosures of return policies, fees, and when we decided to return the phones under their 30-day return policy they said that we would lose the previous phone numbers that we have had for over 12 years!

What a HORRIBLE customer service. After 6 months of follow up on my wireless home, still it does not work. I have spent many days and hours on the phone and I am still on the phone since 9 am this morning... and now it is 11:32 am. No response. If there was an option ZERO, I would give MINUS ZERO FOR RATING. SHAMEFUL
Applied for a phone, didn't like the prices so I decided I didn't want it. Was sent 2 bills that were both sent to collection and Verizon is doing nothing to fix it.
Absolutely worst customer service ever. They stand by nothing they tell you. Blame corporate to online to phone reps... passing the buck... customers are a dime a dozen to them. Rotten company
I asked Verizon for assistance for a late phone bill after I transferred because I was a victim of domestic violence. It's the only late payment on my credit report. I saw they have given up on providing phones to victims of domestic violence. In any case, when I tried to move apartments with no other changes to my credit report besides their late bill I was denied housing. I needed to move because of domestic violence. Verizon does not support victims of Domestic Violence. I had asked them to just help until I could move away from the violence. I want people to know how this company really is. People should know. I will never be a Verizon customer for the rest of my life.
I have been a loyal Verizon wireless customer since 2005. I have 4 smart phones 2 apples watches a Mifi hot spot device and a iPad Pro all with Verizon. Their service and speed is literally the worst anymore. I never have more than 1 bar of service and good luck looking something up on the internet. Called around and I can get better service for almost $200 cheaper a month with a couple better providers.
I paid for my mom and brothers cell phone for 15 yr, sent my mom to 7th st store to get her own account.The guy was tapping on his computer, told mom,"I'll save your daughter $". Instead, I got 3 road services on my bill! When I called corporate, she said,"your mom is stupid"! That was Verizon's response!
Verizon told my daughter that her phone can be credited up to $800.00 for trading in to iphone 13.
She told her her phone had a little crack at the back and working fine. The verizen lady said that most likely she will get credit $650.00.
She received the new phone that was fine, but we had troubles to return the her old phone twice to verizon.
Box for the return they said they will send to her didn't come first time. Second time the returning box was return back to her. At that time it was already 30days past for "that deal".
Calling Verizon was awful. I have to wait 30min to talk to someone every time i called.
Finally after they received the phone, I had to call about credit.
They said it is only $102.50 for credit because it was broken and not working.
I have to get mad at her and get another deal. She set another credit to $440.00.
I have to see how this goes. But I don't trust Verizon.
