Negative expected returns...
August 14, 2025

I've been trying out the stocks& ETFs, commodities, options, and Apex Live Trading room, but unfortunately, I've ended up losing a lot of money. The losses are much bigger than the gains. It seems like most of the trades are countertrend, and when you win, you make a small amount from a small investment. But when you lose, you double down, from 1% to 2% to 4% and even up to 20%. However, the track records website only shows the percentage win, not the actual sizing, which gives a much higher profit factor that's not really accurate. In reality, the expected returns should be weighted by the sizing, which would be negative. When you lose, you lose a lot, and when you win, you win a little. For the live trading room, I've found it unprofitable because many positions are only held for a few minutes or even seconds. By the time it's announced, the price has already gone up significantly. For options plays, it's been a total disaster. Most of the puts I've put on are on the strongest stocks of the strongest sectors, which have the strongest uptrend, like GE, MSFT, NVDA, HOOD, URA, CCJ, WMT, and so on. While the stock market is making new all-time highs every day, our puts are also melting away to zero or expiring worthless. For the commodities play, the short on URA and CCJ with a 20% allocation each has also been a disaster. At one point, I was so frustrated that I thought I should do the opposite and go very long the market to hedge it. I know many other members are losing, but Gareth still insists that it's a number game, meaning that the win will make up for the loss. But that's just not true. My account went down a lot while other people went up with the market making all-time highs. It feels really painful even as I'm writing about it now. Finally, the admin keeps deleting genuine negative reviews. So the reviews looks fabulously positive everywhere. I'm attaching screenshots of my statements and purchase records.
