Awful Products and Customer Service
September 2, 2020

First of all they only show the good reviews on their website so I wrote this review on their website and they never posted it so it is a copy and paste. After I made this review somebody from their team reached out and wanted and explanation then another person from their team said they they handled it and to disregard the previous messages. Not only is that unprofessional, it's just really confusing. Here's my experience:

I bought from Velvet Caviar before and was impressed. I got the flame case and ring holder. Both were great and lasted a long time. The second time I ordered was awful. I ordered the neon pink iPhone and AirPods pro cases. Those looked how pictured and worked fine (I waited for the neon line to be restocked). Also in that order was a black phone wallet. When I first put it on I followed instructions to put it on my brand new neon case and held it on for about 45 seconds. The wallet looked like it was on until I actually put the card (one visa card) in. I picked up the phone and the wallet fell off into my hand. I contacted support and they said to wipe my phone case down with rubbing alcohol (it was a brand new case) and hold it on for 30-45 seconds (I did). They also mentioned that if that didn't work to leave something heavy on it all night, I did so and again the wallet fell off when I picked the case up. I contacted support again, explained the situation, and asked for a refund and I said I would send the case back because I was quite frustrated. They ignored my request for a refund and asked to confirm the shipping address for a new one. I really wasn't in the mood to fight so I gave them my address and I was sent a new one, though I had a suspicion that it was just a bad product. I received my new wallet early today. I cleaned the case with rubbing alcohol, applied the wallet and held it on (for 60 seconds this time), then moved it to a flat surface where I piled some textbooks onto it. After 6-7 hours I took the textbooks off the case and picked it up, again it appeared so be attached to the case. I gently slid one (literally one) credit card into the wallet and the sides of the walled immediately peeled away from the case like before. I picked the phone up and the wallet fell off. Clearly it is just a bad product. Which is really disappointing considering it was $15 and had 5 star reviews. At first I loved this company but now i'm just really disappointed in it. Save your money and buy a case/stick on phone wallet at 5 below. This was my one splurge on myself and it was not working the trouble. I plan to review elsewhere as well because I have a feeling they will not post this review to keep their ratings high.

I love purchasing phone cases from Velvet Caviar
March 14, 2019

My first time purchasing a phone case from Velvet Caviar was from the carlibybelXvelvetcaviar collection and I loved it, not only the phone case but their costumer service was AMAZING! I can track down where my shipment is at all times and I got my shipment in a week mind you I love in Canada. Overall I'd 100% refer this site to everyone!

Still horrible.
January 8, 2019

Where this left off - I had to contact Velvet Caviar myself to ask for them to refund my shipping costs, which they did amazingly fast after I sent them an email - which is just kind of proof to me that they easily could've done it when they offered the shipping cost refund, they just didn't. I don't know if they were hoping I would forget about it or what?

I got my shipping costs refunded, and I ended up putting in a PayPal claim to get the rest of my money back for my case because it was pretty evident it was not going to arrive to me in the time frame they had outlined on their website.

On December 6th (I originally ordered on Nov 9), I reached out to them again asking if perhaps my order was lost by USPS, because I had done some research online via USPS and the scan of "In transit to carrier's US operations facility" actually just means that a label has been printed but item has not been received by USPS. The package had not been scanned. I asked Velvet Caviar if either my package had been lost in their warehouse/or by USPS or was it sitting on a truck somewhere.

They offered to reship my phone case to me, at no cost to me, and I would get the NEW tracking number in 24-48 hours. They also offered me $10 off my next order with them, and they wrote "we assure you a delay like this will not occur again"

I never did get a "new" tracking number. I checked my original tracking number on December 7th and guess what? My package was in motion, which is very odd, since they had told me the whole entire time before it was on the way. It took from December 7th - December 17th for my phone case to arrive to me (Even though I ordered on November 9th, and apparently it was on the way to me the whole time)

When my package did arrive on December 7th, I saw something very interesting. My package arrived with two labels on it, the label on top was the shipping label created on December 6th - the day they said they would send me a new order. So to me, that looks like they shipped me a completely new order. But under that label, was a label that was created on November 9th - my original day of ordering.

So, I guess they must've just left my order sitting around their warehouse from November 9th - December 6th. All the while telling me that my order was on the way. When it hadn't even left them yet. I posted a very long review on their facebook, with the images attached of the two labels and they deleted it. They will delete bad comments from Facebook, Instagram and their site as well. I left a 1 star review on the case I had ordered, but when I check for the worst review on the case, mine doesn't show up... nothing below 4 stars show up!

Now things get even more interesting. I decided since they told me a delay like this would not happen again, why not use my $10 off coupon they offered me? I asked for my coupon and placed a new order on December 28, because I wanted to give them a second chance as a company. My new order has been sitting in the same pre-shipment like my first order, since December 31. They are trying to tell me that it is on it's way to me, when it has the scan of "package has left seller facility and is in transit to carrier" - which I already know that means a label has been created but USPS doesn't have the package - because I researched that the last time I ordered with Velvet Caviar. So, they still have the same shipping issue they've had all along - if they offer you discount or coupons - don't use them.

They are the worst, scammy, online company that I've ever dealt with.

The worst quality, condescending customer service
June 17, 2017

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. I saw this ad on Instagram of marble cases glowing like a gif. It made it look super luxurious and almost as if were real marble with the iridescent features. I went on the site and it had over 1000 reviews and 5 stars for the Cotton Candy one and 400 reviews for the blue opal. I figured there was no way I could go wrong, given all the raving reviews. I think there were only 3 one-stars and they were talking about how they were sent the wrong case, not about the quality. I ordered two cases to get free shipping and was super stoked for it to come. When it came my jaw dropped at how bad the quality was. It was the cheapest plastic case ever with a sticker put on it! And the sticker was pixelated, wow was it pixelated. And peeling ever so slightly from the side already. I immediately went to email them for a refund, "
I'm sorry but I need to return my item. It doesn't shine like in the photos and I was very disappointed with the quality. Please let me know what I need to get started with the return process."

Their response was:

"Our marble cases are our top sellers and we have great reviews on them. In regards to the print, we use the most advanced TPU material to deliver you the highest quality design possible. It's honestly personal preference. We have many very happy customers who love the cases, just depends on your expectation:)

Our cases are designed in a way to be very sleek yet protective. While many appreciate this, a handful of people will still find this to "feel cheap". However, this product was specifically designed to be light weight, thick TPU rubber plastic, and flexible. These features may elicit poor quality, but it's actually the complete opposite. Our cases have protection on all sides and the material has shock absorbing elements to help protect your phone from drops.

Since we know some may not be happy with the physical product they receive, we offer a very reasonable 14 day (after delivery) refund option. We can also offer an exchange if you would like to try a case with a different pattern! We can send you a return label with your new order so you can send back your case and once we receive it, we will refund you minus the original shipping cost :) Labels are for exchanges only!

Please let me know if that works for you or if you would like to proceed with return instructions :)"

When I received the response I couldn't help but laugh at how stupid she sounded. Clearly they get complaints all the time and have a long defensive response written. I didn't say anything about the print so it's funny she would say, "regarding the print.". And she also said, "while this may elicit poor quality, but it's actually the complete opposite."?!? What the lol?!? Are you serious? I know it may seem like a cheap piece of sh*t, but...

Awful awful quality and it's SO shady how they delete all the bad reviews! I thought I was crazy when I went back on the site to search for bad reviews and couldn't find any. I was like NO WAY am I the first to complain about this 99cent phone "case". Your 5 year old daughter would not be happy with this shiz.
