THE Worst People Who Lie to Steal Money From Hard Working People
July 10, 2023

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY! If I could give them zero stars I would! We had an AC unit installed by them about 18 months ago. We have a 10 year warranty. Yesterday they came out because the outdoor unit kept "clicking" on and off. From the moment Joey T. Technician stepped in our door you could tell he was looking for things he could tell us would disqualify our warranty. Thankfully, we regularly change our filters in the house, we are the original purchasers of the unit, etc. He inspected our handler inside and unit outside.

After about 45 minutes he came in and gave me a sheet of paper he had written three options on. He told me our warranty was not going to cover the cleaning and pressure switch that needed to be replaced because it's going bad because we hadn't done "required maintenance cleaning" every 6 months. Our warranty doesn't say anything about this as a condition.

The first option he gave was to clean the coil, replace the pressure switch and join their year of "membership" for $240 per year and the end price would be $951.80. The second option was to do that and join their monthly membership for $20/month (with various add on benefits) and the final price would be $731.80. The third option was just to have them clean the unit and replace the pressure switch for $891.

After I inquired further (because I really believed our warranty to be in effect), they said I could just pay their $79 service charge. We did this, even though, again, this should be under warranty. He told me to keep the unit off because it was too dangerous to run. Last night, after getting a second opinion from another company saying it was ok to turn it on, we found Velocity (Joey) had disconnected the main power to the outdoor unit plus disconnected power inside the unit without telling me or asking me! Today, we got a second opinion in person of our problem.

The other company did some cleanup of the unit and reconnected the power. It's working perfectly! They also confirmed that the 10 year warranty is still in effect. Bottom line ---- Velocity Air Conditioning disconnected power to our outdoor unit without our permission, left us completely without air and HOT, said our warranty wouldn't cover the repair and it would (if it had been needed), said it was a safety problem when it was not, charged us a service fee and didn't clean anything, tried to charge us for a pressure switch when one wasn't needed, and tried to "upsell" membership plans that we didn't need!

Our air is working perfectly after another company cleaned our outdoor unit and hooked everything back up the way it should be. We will NOT be calling Velocity for service again. The owner I found out is William Tyler Snyder, a dishonest person who will lie to whoever he has to in order to get money and has no values. Clearly just out to make as much money as they can and are NOT honest!

Tip for consumers:

I cannot stress enough. DO not trust these people, they lie and cheat to make money. NO VALUES!

Attempted to scam me out of my money. BEWARE
March 26, 2022

Velocity Air Conditioning is a company which operates multiple scams on unsuspecting people like women and elderly. They installed my TRANE system LESS than 4 years ago, sent a rep (Foster) who thought well, well, well, a woman, blonde, hmmmmmm, let's try this trick on her.

During tune-up, he "found" and even played a video trying to fool me into thinking that my coils are leaking, then started the whole scam routine of "ma'am, that would be $1,328".
When I said that it is under warranty, he mumbled: " warranty will expire soon". So I said, "Aren't the parts 10 yrs. Warrantied?"

He recomposed himself, and continued, yeah yeah but labor and "OTHER" parts so it will be $1,328. Seeing I'm not badging, he pulled CAR SALES TRICK "lemmmmmmmme ask my manager", and came back from a SECRETIVE CONSULATION with $1,028 -- $300 discount.
NO WAY FOSTER-JOSE.

I paid him puny $65 bully fee, and called other A/C guy who came, and said, VELOCITY ENTERS Mr SPARKY bullying where these guys even pull permits for their triple jacked priced work.
VELOCITY, you lost the customer... and recommender. And gained one who will discourage and WARN others against you.

Owner, Mr Bill Snyder, are you reading this? But you don't care as long as you make your money scamming.
