On top of having fraud on a gift card my son was given for Christmas, Vanilla Gift card gave us a different answer every time we called. We still don't have the $160 back and have to wait on hold for 30-60 minutes to speak with someone. It is disgusting and Visa should be ashamed to have their name affiliated with this company. We feel as if we have been violated twice! Once by the person who stole the money from the card and now by Vanilla Gift. I will never buy their product and recommend no one else does.

I've called 3 times on hold for 30 minutes I got a brand new gift card in the package never use when I went to use it he said there is an issue on the card so I don't know how to get a hold of anyone to see what the issue is it's a 50 card

I lost $470 and they let it happen!

I purchased one of their cards and put $500 on it. Within an hour someone had made a purchase of $470 at an Apple store in CA and cleared my balance. I reported it immediately though it took 40 mins on hold to speak to someone only to be told there was nothing that could be done because the purchases made with the cards are considered as cash. I would never suggest anyone purchase on of these cards.

Biggest waste of money!

I purchased a $100 vanilla gift card as a Christmas gift to my son. He used it for two small purchases. He went to use it two days later with a $66.98 balance and it was gone. All but.98 cents! Don't bother calling customer service. Complete waste of time. I purchased the gift card with cash and literally threw my receipt away last week. He was using the gift card. Live and learn or better my gifts will be cash!

NEVER BUY THIS CARD

This is all a scam. I purchased this gift card of 100 dollars for my son and he wanted to use it for online purchases. The card suddenly locked and wasn't able to use it. I called customer service and waited for about 1hr on hold to talk to a representative. The representative wasn't no help. The worst service ever. If you are planning to give money to someone as a gift, give cash only. Don't use this service.

My son used his own Christmas money from Granma to buy the gift card. After the card was activated, he can't check the balance on the website. It said, " System occurred". He tried to few days and same things happened. He tried to use the card for online shopping and shopping at store, but the card was declined. I can't even get through to customer service.My fried has the same experience.

B.S. Over charge

Ordered takeout at a Denny's restaurant using my AARP discount, they charged me $31.70 before discount. Discount brought it down to $26.42. Was charged original $31.70 on vanilla card. Denny's says vanilla screwed up. Vanilla has No customer service answering phones. B******* will never use it again. Vanilla card was $50.00

Sorry gift card excuse

Definitely the worst girt card I have ever received. The amount is $150. Jacket indicated I had 12 days to use it before it expired. Tried to use it over 20 times - online and in person. Each time said not valid. Website indicated $150. Basically non existent customer service. It may say $150 but is worth nothing if it can't be used. Trading rocks has more value than a Vanilla gift card.

Over the years I bought plenty of vanilla gift cards. However, several times I have received cards where half of the bard cod is imprinted on the card and the other half of the bar code is imprinted on the packaging the card is in. Therefore, you cannot scan the card so it cannot be used. When you call the # on the back of the card. Either they never answer the phone, the pick up and say nothing, or you cannot get through the recording. Finally after trying a lot of times to get through, I had to give all of my personal information to a person who I could not understand, and could not understand me. They did not say anything about reimbursing me my money. They just took all of my information. I believe they do this deliberately in hopes that you cannot get your money back. In order to keep your money. Do not buy these cards. I will be reporting this company to the FCC. They need to be investigated. This has happened to me more than once. Also. The money just disappears from the card once start to use it, and leave a balance. See the photo how part of the bar code is on the card & half in on the card holder. This card cannot be used.

Don't waste your time

Super bad useless customer service. I waited 2 hours on the line for every single representative to act rude and unexperienced. You could tell they didn't wanted to help me they didn't even ask for my card info and just ignored what I had completely say. Don't waste your time on vanilla gift cards. Terrible service what a shame get better representatives that are not their for the money and who actually want to help people do better wtf

Bought 5 gift cards worth $100 a piece. Of course the card doesn't work and when I called them 5 different times we got hung up on 3 times after waiting 40 minutes each time. Then they are making us wait 710 business days to get our money on the card. Worst company ever. I do not recommend buying these cards because walmart may sell them but they won't exchange or refund the broken cards

I never activated my card and yet it was used. I made a claim and they denied my claim to get a refund. The card was used in PR while I was in PA. I'm sure they took my money or one of their employee. Bunch of thiefs.

If you want to lose your money buy this card! 1 hour on the phone and the hung up! The put me ond hold for 30 minutes and then another person take the call, just to hung up.

Egift card did not work in store

I have this as a gift. It was very embarrassing the my niece was not able to buy her children's Christmas gifts in store. It was tried at Walmart, target, TJMaxx. The instructions were followed to a T. It was also embarrassing for my niece to be e rejected at the check out.

Bought my card never could use it. Total trash. Waited on hold for a hour for them to tell me that they decided to cancel my card that I never got to use and it would take 7 to 10 days to mail a replacement. What? I paid y'all six dollars and y'all decided to cancel my card and I have to wait ten days to get it back? Are you kidding me? Corrupt company terrible customer service just totally disgusted NEVER again
