I've called 3 times on hold for 30 minutes I got a brand new gift card in the package never use when I went to use it he said there is an issue on the card so I don't know how to get a hold of anyone to see what the issue is it's a 50 card

Got for Christmas...tried to use 3 different places...different amounts.no go...tried logging in web site.big joke kept saying system error. Called number on back of card.1st time got put on hold then dropped. Second time.guy wanted to much info.address birthdate email.I refuse to give it.got hung up on.after 40 minute wait.called back same thing...lady wanted to verify me with all my info...when I refused and said I wanted to check balance.didn't want to give my info.put on hold I finally hung up.
We were given 2 Vanilla Gift Cards as a present. On trying to use the cards we found that they did not work in most shops and it was impossible to find out how much was left on the card. The terms and conditions applying to the cards would need an experienced lawyer to understand them. They also charge a maintenance fee on the cards. I would advise anyone thinking of purchasing these cards as a gift to think twice and stay well clear.

This was the worst experience of customer service I have ever encountered. Purchased a $50 gift card for a friend. When he tried to use it, a message that a hold had been out on the card. No reason given only that it was compromised. How or why? Called customer service took well over an hour and very angry. First they said it would take a couple of days to issue a new card for recipient to receive a new card. Why? Just send a new card cancel the other. Refund will take even longer.
Just a bad idea to buy these cards.
Horrible! Purchased 150.00 for Xmas gift for grandson. I tried to activate it when I tried there was NO Security code in back. I called was told to use the swipe method. Of course Did NOT work. I'm trying to get replacement they giving runaround and now want MY ID why?! I have emailed receipt purchase. I have reported to Better Business Bureau I suggest everyone do the same. It's the principal.

I gave this card as a Christmas gift. When he opened it, part of the card number could not be read. I contacted the company and sent them the evidence they requested. After they received it, they sent me a claim number for the "Track a Problem" link. I tracked the progress; it said it would be resolved by 2/13/2024. So I waited. On 2/24/2024, I returned to the site because I still had not received a resolution. It had changed to 6/18/2024. I will never buy another Vanilla Gift Card again.

It has been over a month trying to get my gift card activated correctly sent all the required documents and was told that it would be fixed. 15 days later checked it was not fixed called again. They asked us submit the same information did it and got a confirmation email again from the website stating that my documents were submitted again on February 3 over a month later and they said they would prioritize my case was emailed on the eighth that they need a correct instant number called the number just to have a customer service agent tell me it's going to take another 2 business days, this is ridiculous. I'm just trying to access my funds.

My wife and I received a gift card for Christmas sent by my aunt. When we opened the card up it was missing the last four numbers on the front of the card as well as no cvv code on the back. My wife called to get a replacement card and had to deal with a rude cs agent. So I called today to see where the replacement card was and was told that because there were 2 claims against the card, I needed to send the receipt along with the card and a copy of my drivers license to get the replacement. First problem being I am not sending a copy of my drivers license to anyone ( identity theft). Second my aunt is 78 and pays cash for everything and did not keep the receipt. So after going back and forth with the gentleman I spoke with, it was really clear that my wife and I will not see any of this money. I will tell everyone I know that this company is a scam and to stay away from them.
I have been to 3 different stores in the past 4 days trying to use the card. I have checked, it is activated, has a balance of $50, and i have used a PIN, and tried credit. NOTHING! I called, got no where. Tried online, and there is a disclaimer, if your card is declined, and you have the available funds, try shopping online? This is BS. I cant get help anywhere.
I got a gift card for $60 $30 was taking off my. Card they said it would me back on the 13 here we are and now there telling me I having to do some frad thing I ask to take to management and she hung up on me horrible horrible customer service would never buy gift cards from there again
Customer service is just about non existent.
I was given a 50.00 card. When I went to use it there was only 3.19 left. I've never used the card. I called customer service and after several calls finally got thru. I had to file a dispute and that department came back and said the transactions were valid. I asked for proof and they said they considered the case closed and wouldn't provide me proof of receipts.
Called to check card balance and they want to give me a free medical alert device. I say I am not interested and they do not stop talking about this device. It is a scam to get money from Medicare. I go online and their verification process will not work. Do not buy these cards.
I called to the phone customer service to check the balance on the card. The automated operator ask me tricky questions for security, 5+8 answered 13. But it told me I was wrong and cut off my phone call. I try 2 more times the same thing happened :(? What kind of costumer service it's this. I never seeing this issue with any other company. It's very confusing. :(
I've been receiving Vanilla gift cards over the last three or four years, and honestly, I can't imagine why this company is still in business.
I have constant problems getting online purchases to go through. This happens even when there aren't heavy shopping days. Forget trying to shop on Thanksgiving weekend...it's impossible.

My card did not work and contacted customer service. I emailed the information in 5 different times and called 4 times. Given the same answer each time. The last call I was on the phone for over an hour and a half and had a supervisor finally that ended up hanging up on me. My issue is still not resolved and it has been over 2 weeks. Stay away from this company and their products. They are terrible!
First i lost 50$ ont vanilla prepaid visa open à file whit vanilla prepaid custumer services on febuary 04 2024 and Still no return from them and on a second card i lost 10 $ that is Block for no reasons and once again costumer service can not fix it so dont buy these cards cause if you have à problème whit il you re gonna be stuck whit your lost

I received a $100 Vanilla gift card. When I went to use the card, it would not work. I went to the website and found out that the balance was $1.00! I filed a dispute that the card had been drained. After a two month review, I was advised that the card was used to purchase Amazon items and because of the time delay, there was nothing that could be done. Believe it or not, two weeks later, I received a replacement gift card with a balance of...wait for it...ONE DOLLAR! Save your money and stay clear of this outfit.
Received a vanilla gift card for Christmas. Although initially excited, that ended quickly. I tried to use at four different stores and would not accept. Checked online and my money was there. Called customer service and was assured my money was there. Called customer service 3 times, each time, waiting an hour. Finally I was issued a new card. When my card arrived it was unable to be activated because the 11 digit # was on the bottom of the back of the card. Now I am waiting for a new card. Something that should be so simple WAS NOT Due to this experience, I would never purchase these cards as a gift and I hope never to receive another.
I had 8 vanilla gift cards compromised from purchases in California (I live in Illinois) before I used them.
I am out $600 and Vanilla Gift does nothing to correct the situation. Their dispute process is ridiculous and calling is even worse. Nobody you talk to can do anything (after extreme hold times) and they simply do not back up their product. Do not purchase from Vanilla Gift as they are unreliable and unresponsive.
Tip for consumers:
Stay clear of Vanilla Gift. Do not purchase any gift cards as the company is unreliable and does not help at all when theft of funds from unused gift cards occurs. Terrible experience in attempts to correct the problem.

I've been dealing with this company for over 2 months trying to get the $150.00 my sister tried to send me for Christmas. They had the card locked for no reason, so I could not use it. After I receieved it 2 months after Christmas. I went online to activate it, it told me to call in. I waited on hold for an hour and a half. They "verified security" by asking me where I used the card on a specific date when it did not work. I verified all the other information the gentleman from India refused to accept any other possible verification. Then he insisted on sending me a new card. I new that was it. I was never going to see the money. And I was right. 5-7 business days later, here we are the card never and will never arrive. I tried to explain to my sister, she thinks I did it wrong. Its ridiculous. It should be illegal, but it just implies that it was some how the customers fault they never recieved the money. When the company never intended on the person recieving the money.
I purchased a gift card from Vanilla Gift and when it arrived it was damaged and the card number was rubbed off. I have been trying to contact Vanilla Gift for 3 days and have been put on hold for over an hour each time. Finally I was given and number to call and they took all my information. Then they told me I had to call some other office because they don't handle "replacements" It's the same number I've been calling for 3 days. As I type this, I'm on hold AGAIN with that annoying voice saying to stay on the line. Lousy customer service!
My Dad got this for me as a Christmas gift 150$ I used it once at Walmart for a hot wheels car it worked just fine but the next day I wanted to buy something on ebay and it says "your payment didn't go through" and it kept saying that I didn't know how bad it was until I was reading people's conversations here. I feel bamboozled, wondering if this card is gonna work other places but it does not what so ever work online I've tried ebay. Xbox. Ps4. It just not work. I have no idea it was this bad and I hope people get there Money back. As for my dad I have to tell him in the morning he might have been scammed.
I purchased a $500 gift card for a Christmas present. After I activated it with the purchase, it had a zero balance shortly thereafter. Someone had the card and pin number and used it to make a $500 purchase at Target. It wasn't me. I filed a dispute and they rejected it and said the card was present. It was not.
They do not back there product and they could care less if you were ripped off. I'm out $500. They are horrible to work with and I will never use the Vanilla gift card again. I SUGGEST EVERYONE DO THE SAME!
