This website is easy to use, I like that there are all formats of the textbooks needed. Its nice to be able to either rent, buy new or used. I've never not found a text book I was looking for. They even have international options. The returns are easy. I do kinda think that its ridiculous to offer textbook buy backs and it being one penny, that would be my only complaint at least make it worth a dollar because whats the point in selling 12 textbooks and only getting under $1.

I ordered my books on May 24th 2023 and its June 16th, there is no update, there is no seller information, the tracking number doesn't show anything, its been that way from the start. You can't contact them by phone. Classes already started 2 weeks ago and no one from this company contacts you back. They got your money and to bad about your books. Now i'm stuck in a class with no books and no way to contact them and get any reply back of where my books are.

I ordered my books on May 24th 2023 and its June 16th, there is no update, there is no seller information, the tracking number doesn't show anything, its been that way from the start. You can't contact them by phone. Classes already started 2 weeks ago and no one from this company contacts you back. They got your money and to bad about your books. Now i'm stuck in a class with no books and no way to contact them and get any reply back of where my books are.

It a fraud, avoid at any cost. I was just swindled for 1 book for which I had to pay return shipping and the other is somehow lost in shipping. For 2 books I got nothing, you better sell your college books locally.

This company is a complete scam. I wish I never would have encountered them. Seek out a more reputable organization for textbooks. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the positive reviews were paid for. Their customer service is awful.

I tried to order a number of college textbooks on Sept 5, but two days after confirming my order it was cancelled. I missed the cancelation email but noticed I was never charged about two weeks later. I figured something had gone wrong and re-ordered the books on Sept 20. One day later that order was also cancelled. Confused, but wondering if a problem with a single book would hold up the entire order instead of just being removed from the order, I ordered 4 books on 4 different orders on Sept 24. All 4 orders were cancelled with the same generic, non-informative message on Sept 27.

All of the books I attempted to order are still showing up in search on their site, so it's baffling to me what is going wrong. If they're not actually in stock, or the (multiple, different) vendors that had them on offer weren't making them available, then why have they been on the site for weeks?

They refunded/wiped out all the charges, so I don't think this is an outright scam, but it's still super frustrating.

I had two textbooks in very good condition and tried to sell them back at Valor books. Then after shipping my items they rejected them with ridiculous excuses like "cover damages", etc. which is impossible. They refused to pay me, and I need to pay if I want to get my books back. Also, they said they would "recycle" them, so I think they will get the books from students for free and then sell them.

It took them 7 days, the maximum they alotted, to reject my book for sell back for "binding damage; even though the book left my house in prestinie condition. They quoted me $81.30 for buying my electronics engineering textbook, and it was too good to be true. Total Scam I expect. They quote great deals to get you to send a book to them, then once it's rejected you have to pay for shipping, or they will "recycle it" free of charge. Meaning they get your book for free!

I "sold" a textbook back to this company 9/3, and there was a very poor response. First, they "sent the textbook to the publisher to check if it was counterfeit." Even though, there was NO evidence for the book to be counterfeit and NO explanation why they deemed it so. I NEVER received any notification of this happening until I went on their website to see why my payment was taking so long. I reached out to their customer service by email 9/18 and was told it would take 1-3 MONTHS for the publisher to review whether the book was counterfeit. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and set an event in my calendar for 3 months after on 12/21. In that time frame, I NEVER received ANY word from Valore Books. I reached out once again by email, and was told it was deemed to be counterfeit without ANY further explanation or evidence. I truly feel they kept the book and resold it without paying me and blamed the publisher as a scapegoat. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR RESALES.

Purchased a textbook 12/31/19, today is 1/23/20 still no book has arrived even after several correspondences via email. Don't like that there is no way to contact the company by phone. Asked for refund twice, no response until a complaint was filed with the BBB. Never again, I'll stick with Amazon!

They have been in possession of my book for 6 weeks now. Their payback policy is significantly longer than any of the other 10+ buyback companies I have used. By their policy I should have received payment 4 weeks ago. After several complaints I get differing stories from customer service and always get apologies and a promise to be paid in the next few days. I have serious doubts if I will ever get paid. Do yourself a favor and do business elsewhere!

If I could give zero stars I would! Stay away from this company! It is an absolute scam and fraudulent business. I used the site to sell back textbooks and first they gave me very low offers for extremely expensive textbooks. I understand that most companies won't give you much for buyback textbooks so I was understanding at this point. However once you send them your textbooks, they will come up with ridiculous excuses for why they are not acceptable and refuse to pay what was agreed upon. At that point you are either forces to forfeit your books to them or pay a ridiculous amount to have them shipped back to you. This is clearly a play to steal the expensive textbooks without ever paying back what was agreed upon because most people will just choose to forfeit. If you ever want to see the money you're owed or get your textbooks back to sell somewhere else then DO NOT USE ValoreBooks!

From ny to boston it takes an entire month turn around time to get money back out of these people. Find a local place, the prices would be the same and you get your $ back immediatly. NO. IDEA WHY IT TAKES SO FRIGGIN LONG TO MAIL A CHECK BACK. Seriously one month! It takes 6 hours to drive from ny to boston! Why does it take a month to get money back from these monkeys? DO NOT BOTHER, PLEASE FIND A LOCAL PLACE AND DRIVE THERE YOURSELF do not give these monkeys your business or you will be hasseling them every step of the way to get anything back in your end!

I rented two Campbell essential biology books from this thief, only for them to ship ONE of the books. I contacted this con-man through the "contact the seller" button 6 times with no response. I called directly to the main office only to receive help from a man that had absolutely no social skills what-so-ever. This man was stupid beyond belief and could not help me at all. It took 5 weeks to receive an e-mail from some associate in their "help" department, only to see a copy and paste response from her e-mail sent to the seller claiming they "thought" they sent both books, but only sent one. Now I am stuck paying for TWO books at full price over this disgustingly scamming seller that this website is harboring. This was my one and only time ever doing business with this website, never again. BE WARNED!

I ordered a book for my daughter that she needed by today to take back to college with her. I paid almost $9.00 for expedited shipping for it to get here today. When placing my order it shows the delivery date to be today. Well my daughter has left to go back to college and still no book. When I try and reach out to the company they give me a bs excuse as to how many days it could take to get here. They ignore the whole part that I paid the 9 to receive it today. Why did I pay the extra to be sure it was here today if they don't even get it here. Never again will I use this site, I ordered 2 other books from other websites and didn't even pay extra for shipping and they have already arrived. If you want to be over charged by false arrival dates and a customer service dept that treats you like you are stupid then this is the site for you to use.

I ordered a book, it stated that it was on it's way but then for some reason, a reason no one can provide me with, my order was canceled and the money was taken out. I was told that the money would go back and that I needed to re-order.

I purchased a textbook just for it never come in. 6 weeks in and im now failing my class because I needed the textbook. I suggest not using this website if you care about your gpa in college.

I ordered a book for over $100 for my son's college course. Valore claims it was delivered and it never was. Their response was that UPS was sloppy and to look at my neighbor's house and in my SHRUBS! I have never located the book and they refuse to answer me on any level. I will NEVER buy from them again and I hope you don't either. Textbooks for college are expensive enough without having to hassle with this to get a refund.

I was suggested this site by peers and decided to give it a shot as it was my first year of college. So i ordered a book that i needed for a class that i was getting assignments for and i waited two weeks and got no email for a tracking number at all only to recieve an email saying that im being refunded because my book was lost by the post office. Its not the post offices fault but it wouldve been nice to have been notified that there was problems with shipping so i couldve searched elsewhere for the book that i needed ASAP but no i waste 2 weeks of my time only to not get the book that i need.

No stars. Had a picture of one book and sent me another book and said it is a alternative book. To the one i need after sending the book back they do not want to pay for it to be sent back. All they will say is sorry and they will not do anything else. Avoid this site!

I placed a used book purchase with Valorebooks. I was sent the wrong book. Not the ordered isbn. Not bonded leather as you can see in the attached photo. I'm not wasting more time explaining the switch-a-roo. Overall customer service was garbage. The seller hosted at Valorebooks.com is HippoBooks. I had garbage customer service with HippoBooks before via another hosting site. At no time did Hippo ever return any email of mine. They just blew me off! At the moment I saw that the seller was Hippobooks I gasped. After the wait time of 48 hrs, mandatory for working with the seller (72 hrs since I had Sunday in between) I was then allowed to correspond with the host site Valorebooks. They too were less than interested in me. The end result is I have a book I wasn't looking for. And I was charged well over what it is currently worth. If you hate yourself, or you're spending an enemies money, then Valorebooks and their sellers like HippoBooks has lovely books for you! Have at it!

I purchased a book online from this company and have yet to receive the product. There is not an actual person you can speak to for issues, except the vendor your purchasing from. Save you school money and time, and regardless of these other fake reviews stating "I'm so happy with my product", DO NOT DO IT, I REPEAT, DO NOT DO IT!

The price was right but it was too good to be true. They had a search bar for your address, but it wouldn't accept my address or my PO box. Had to use my work for shipping, but had the same issue with the billing address so I couldn't even complete my order.

I purchased a book on 8/13/17 from a vendor using Valore's website. The book shipped the next day. On 8/17/17, I received an email from the partner company stating that the order was never shipped and I could request a refund or wait for the book to be back in stock. I requested a refund from that company and later called Valore Books to request a refund as well. A week after I asked the separate company and days after I ask Valore, Valore ships the book and asks me to pay for return postage! Avoid this company at all costs.

Tl; dr: book says it was shipped, 3 days later I get email saying it never shipped, I ask for refund, they send the same book days later, I have to pay for postage to return.
