“First timer found it super simple!”

KT g.
1/1/24

Bought a large item on Amazon that I needed to return and the seller was kind enough to refer me to uShip. I did get a FedEx quote before listing my shipment on uShip. I quickly received a more competitive offer on uShip and accepted it. Never having used a shipping service outside of USPS, UPS and FedEx, I was a little intimidated by the whole bid process at first, but I had ZERO reason to be. It was straightforward, simple and saved me a ton of money.

“Their insurance is a fraud.”

Mark P.
2/6/24

The item we shipped was damaged and even though we purchased insurance through them they will not cover the minimal cost of the repairs. We didn't try to file a claim for the $9000 it was insured for, just enough for the parts to repair at $500 (not even covering our labor) and they denied claim. Great for finding cheap carriers but would advise not to get scammed by their insurance.

Contractor failed to deliver my items as promised picked up my items on 12/16, sand stated he would deliver approximately 12-21-12/24/23. He delivered items on 1/4/2023. I was pushed for time and getting my items late.

Charging the shipper and transporter is robbery. Only the transporters should be charged. They are the ones in this for a profit, other than uship.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your feedback. Since we are an online marketplace that serves both shippers and carriers, all users are required to pay a service fee that goes towards maintaining our site so that we can continue to offer services like easy billing and member support services to all our users. UShip also allows service providers to discuss all costs associated with their bid, including uShip fees, before a price is agreed upon. Here is a bit more information about our service fees: https://help.uship.com/hc/en-us/articles/206462747-Fees-Service-Charges

Again, we do appreciate your feedback as we strive to make the service better for all of our users. If you would like to discuss any of this at length, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team directly at support@uship.com or 1-800-698-7447.

Verified purchase

This is the first time I ever shipped a vehicle. Setting it up was pretty easy. The next day I got a call that the driver will be at my home within a hour and a half. The driver never called but showed up. While loading the vehicle up I asked numerous questions. I asked about when the vehicle was going to be delivered. It was on this past Friday 12/30/22, he stated he was headed to Chicago to pick another vehicle up and then stay the night there. He stated that on Saturday 12/31/22 he will drive to North Carolina and drop off the truck. The truck did not show up on Saturday. The truck did not show up Sunday or Monday morning. The weather was not bad on the route so I figured there was no weather delay. I began calling every number I could find for Uship and Orion and was unable to get in touch with anyone. I emailed everyone I could also. Finally after several hours I heard back from Uship. They stated that they too were unable to reach anyone at Orion. I was very frustrated and was going to file a stolen vehicle report. Without any notice the vehicle showed up in North Carolina Monday afternoon. I am not rich so this vehicle is very important to me and my son. My son had to borrow a friend's vehicle to get back to base in time. Uships' lack of communication with Orion caused much frustration and inconvenience. More than they know.

Tip for consumers:
Uship maybe a good company but I do not trust Orion who they used.

I tried a few times to use UShip. They first give your a range of what to expect for potential shipment costs; High, Medium & Low. The estimates never came close to the the low or medium and always ended up on the highest end.
After putting your shipping emails in you start to get bids and a bunch of aggressive response asking questions and urging you to book with them. All the estimates are the generally the same and when you want to book a service charge is added ON TOP of the shipping fee, not cool and it should be calculated in so you get a real estimate. Anyway, its an imperfect process but I suppose if you luck out and find a somewhat normal shipping entity with a reasonable price then its worth it. Otherwise try to avoid this process as Ive been reading also that your cargo gets beaten up pretty bad in the process.

The first two times I used BVG Hauling Ltd, which were decent experiences. The third time I used JC Mover of Mississauga (Joseph Carron) and boy, was it a nightmare. Initially, Joseph and I signed an agreement. He also requested for us to take a picture of our driver's license if we were stopped by the OPP. The day of the move he arrived 1000hrs instead of the scheduled 0800hrs. When he arrived to my new address, he basically left my possessions outside the front door of the building or in the front lobby for me to bring to my apartment. No care was taken to safeguard my items. My stereo surround system was left outside along with boxes. My bookcase, clothes chest and bookcase were taken apart. Miscellaneous items were broken or missing. I never encountered such unprofessionalism. Stay far away!

Tip for consumers:
The address on the contract we signed listed his business as JC Mover at 1-224 Queen Street South, Mississauga, L8M 1L5. This address is actually a Canada Post office.

1 Small apartment move.

Bakii/uShip Inc.
Let's be clear about something... I DID NOT GIVE YOU THE INCORRECT MEASUREMENTS! You could not fit my item because you waited for 2 days to pick up a table from another customer, and once you picked up that table you then realized that my item could no longer fit in your truck! The failure to be able to transport my item was because of you, not me. I gave you the correct measurements and even sent you the pictures and you said it would be no problem. Then YOU postponed the delivery for 2 full days while you waited to pick up someone else's table!
How about you take ownership of your bad business decision, apologize for it, and be done with it, instead of lying and giving bull$#*! feedback about what actually happened. You would get a lot more respect if you owned up to your own mistake and bad business decision.
Fortunately for me, I rescheduled with another carrier who picked my initial item up as well as another one I added, on the dates that he said he could do it. They were delivered on time, safely wrapped and transported from NJ to FL. They were tremendous and professional! It's a shame that you try to justify your business shortcomings by lying about customers you deal with. I really hope this gets posted on uShip. You should be ashamed of yourself writing a lie as a response to a negative review. Act like a responsible adult and own it!
Best of luck in your future endeavors.

I was looking to have a car shipped to me and their rates were significantly higher than competitors. A lot of brokers will cause huge price increases. Do not use this site. Prices should be immensely competitive not super high.

The first time I used them all went as
The first time I used them all went as planed. We booked Old Dominion they were out of this world perfect. You always had contact with driver and they did not find ways to increase you charge. The next time I booked NMU Worldwide. This was a joke, very bad customer service the operator had problems with English speaking and understanding and before they could pick up they were talking about increase in pricing. Can not put you in contact with driver, You can not pay through u-ship who seems to be more secure, then you have to print another BOL. So I call u-ship they cancel pickup first thing in morning and relist pickup but then had to deal with trucking company trying to charge me for there bad service. Uship did fix it but did nothing to this company. After all that there truck 18 wheeler shows up at 5; 30 in afternoon turns in wrong driveway and just goes tru 2 neighbors yards and yes it messed there yard up good. I asked the driver what he was doing and he said no one called him... Once again no communication. So now i am fixing yards and u-ship says they can do nothing Other than this they have been great but NMU is a joke NEVER USE THEM

I have submitted requests using this service four times. Out of the four submissions only one of them resulted in a no hassle ordeal. One of the transporters bid on a transport and that's it! He didn't call, text or email. I called Uship and was told to check the transporters reviewa before accepting. I am currently trying to get the same item shipped with being charged a $40 per day storage fee. Someone accepted a bid this morning who had a very strong rating on Uship. The guy promised he would pick up the jet ski today prior to the business closing. But guess what... He didn't make it.

Sitejabber for Business

Gain trust and grow your business with customer reviews.

From the business

uShip is a worldwide online transportation marketplace connecting those that need things shipped to those who do the shipping. In minutes you can create a free listing to have your item(s) shipped, choose to let potential transporters bid on your shipment or view estimates.

Business History

People and businesses use uShip because it’s easy and affordable to price, book, and ship everything from cars to cranes, freight to furniture, and households to horses—whether it’s going local or long distance.

Our shipping marketplace helps you connect with trusted, feedback-rated service providers of all kinds—large companies, small fleets, single-truck owners and even roadtrippers—that compete for your business and offer extra cargo space at a discount.
Many great companies started in a garage. uShip started in the back of a rent-a-truck. In 2001, Matt Chasen and his then fiancé, Heather, were moving from Seattle to Austin. The 9 ft. Van Matt ordered was sold out, leaving them with an enormous 20 ft. Truck.

Along that 2,500-mile drive, Matt remembered the large family heirloom armoire he’d tried–and failed–to ship a year earlier due to the astronomic shipping cost. That’s when he had his lightbulb moment that he’d become intent on solving: creating a way online to efficiently connect people’s large shipments with empty truck space so both parties win.

Matt would go on to make this his focus at business school, where he met fellow students Jay Manickam and Mickey Millsap. The trio honed the idea, and in 2004, they launched uShip.com.

uShip is based in Austin, Texas, with European headquarters in Amsterdam.

Every 30 seconds a new shipment is listed on uShip worldwide.
